Upon hearing Du Heng's determined words, the woman's expression changed immediately. This left Du Heng and Gao Qin no choice but to meticulously explain to her why surgery was now necessary.

By the time they finished their explanation and had thoroughly convinced the woman that conservative treatment was not an option, more than an hour had passed.

However, this time could not be cut short. Without a clear explanation, the patient might turn around and file a complaint against you or spread rumors—irresponsible talk about things like inadequate service, being tricked into surgery, or the Hospital just being out to make more money.

Exiting Gao Qin's office, Du Heng sighed helplessly. I'm doing my best to find ways for this industry to develop, but I really can't cope with so many incompetent colleagues. And they're from the Municipal Second Hospital. With Wu Buwei there, there's a bit of a connection, so it's not right to just sell them out directly. But this matter can't be let go either.

Du Heng's eyes shifted slightly as a plan formed in his mind: he would have Wu Buwei approach his father and the former Director to give them a heads-up.

To treat severe illnesses, one must have the determination and courage to use medication. If they continue to be as timid and hesitant as they are now, then they should just resign themselves to being Slow Doctors. When it comes to highly toxic substances, either use them boldly or don't use them at all. Don't harm others and yourself. If I encounter something like this again, they shouldn't blame me for confronting them directly and not holding back.

Actually, Du Heng himself hadn't realized that his attitude towards his colleagues had become increasingly assertive, especially regarding matters that could tarnish the industry's reputation. He was no longer turning a blind eye as he might have in the past.

His mind made up, the phone in Du Heng's pocket rang again. Upon answering, he heard Wu Shengnan's suppressed voice, "Husband, come quickly. Leader Zhang suddenly broke out in a heavy sweat."

Hearing this news, Du Heng's mood improved considerably. He laughed and said, "This is a good thing, a normal reaction. Don't overreact."

However, Wu Shengnan still lowered her voice and said urgently, "But Leader Zhang is suddenly in pain all over his body, and he won't let anyone touch him! We saw how much he was sweating and wanted to wipe it for him, but as soon as our hands touched him, he cried out in pain."

Judging by Wu Shengnan's voice, she sounded terrified. She was so worried that in her attempt to do a good deed, she might end up getting her husband and Leader Zhang into serious trouble.

Nevertheless, Du Heng's smile didn't wane. He said confidently, "Don't worry; it's still a normal reaction. I told you about Leader Zhang's condition before—he was suffering from qi depression block. Now the sweat is trying to emerge from the pores and has to break through this blockage. It's a somewhat violent process, so the affected skin surface will definitely have a needle-prick-like pain. So, don't worry. Just wait patiently."

After explaining the situation to Wu Shengnan, Du Heng hurried towards the Hospital room.

Upon his arrival at the Hospital room, Wu Shengnan's colleagues and their detachment leader, Captain Tao, seemed relatively calm. Doctor Ma was at the Sick bed, explaining the patient's current condition to everyone.

As Du Heng approached, Leader Zhang, on the Sick bed, began to sweat profusely, as if a basin of water had been poured over him. He was drenched, completely soaked.

When everyone saw Du Heng arrive and noted his lack of alarm, they continued to watch Leader Zhang quietly, though the tension in their eyes did not lessen in the slightest.

They had never witnessed such profuse sweating before.

They were all afraid that at this rate of perspiration, he would die of dehydration within Ten minutes.

However, their worries were clearly unnecessary. The torrential sweating lasted for about a minute before visibly starting to decrease.

But just as the sweating subsided, Leader Zhang's stomach began to rumble violently again—a distinct GURGLE, GURGLE—a sound audible even from outside the Hospital room.

As everyone stared in bewildered uncertainty, Leader Zhang suddenly sat up on the Sick bed and rushed towards the toilet. He didn't even have time to close the toilet door before an overwhelming noise erupted from within.

The men were fine, but Wu Shengnan and Hao Hongxia, being women, felt a bit embarrassed.

Fortunately, Du Heng had anticipated this. As soon as the noise began, he had already walked over and pulled the toilet door shut, though this only slightly muffled the sound.

Everyone looked at each other speechlessly, their gazes collectively turning to Du Heng. Du Heng merely chuckled and said, "Just wait."

The silence lasted for three minutes before the toilet door finally opened. However, just as everyone caught sight of Leader Zhang at the doorway, he suddenly went limp, collapsed, closed his eyes, and fainted.

Seeing their panic-stricken expressions, Du Heng and Doctor Ma helped Leader Zhang back to the Sick bed. Du Heng then smiled and said, "It's all right, don't be alarmed. Leader Zhang first experienced profuse sweating and then severe diarrhea; his body couldn't take it and he's exhausted. Let him rest for a couple of minutes; he'll come around on his own."

At this point, whatever Du Heng said, they accepted. They didn't understand what was happening and could only listen, but the anxiety and concern in their eyes were almost overflowing.

However, just as Du Heng had said, while everyone waited tensely, Leader Zhang, on the Sick bed, groggily opened his eyes.

Looking at the now-conscious Leader Zhang, Du Heng smiled and asked, "Leader Zhang, can you hear me?"

"Doctor Du? Of course I can hear you," Leader Zhang replied, somewhat bewildered.

With just that simple sentence from Leader Zhang, the people in the Hospital room erupted in cheers. Several of Leader Zhang's old friends, who were particularly close to him, bypassed Du Heng and rushed to Leader Zhang's side.

Captain Tao, however, froze for a moment. He didn't approach but instead stared intently at Du Heng.

Instant results!

He had said it, and he had done it.

What other experts hadn't been able to achieve in a week, he had managed with just one dose of medicine, in only an hour.

So this was fast treatment of acute diseases!

It turned out he really wasn't just boasting.
