 Once she was done, she curiously walked out from the room, thinking to go to the entrance of the castle where Cassius had told her to wait at earlier. She was about to land her feet when a voice coldly spoke to her, "His Highness wish to rely to you the news that he would be held back for a few minutes."
 She flinched, almost backing to the corner with her back pressed to the wall, staring at Karnala while her heart beat aloud like a tambourine. She blinked while the black haired mad simply stood there without further words from her mouth, her eyes slightly closed as she stared at the floor, trained not to look at her master and the guests’ eyes.
 "I- I see, thank you."
 "Thank you words aren’t necessary for maids. I am merely doing my work," she answered stiffly when a curious face popped beside her, a smile wide across the blue haired vampire as he stood beside Karnala, standing with a bright smile that had almost turned him into a ball of sunlight while Karnala was a glass full of pitch black ink.
 "Karnala I heard from His Highness’s book that humans tend to have weaker hearts. They could die easily from nervous, stress, and if they were far too startled by something. It would be bad if she dies because of you, so try smiling."

 "She does?" Renard thought and looked at her, seizing her up and down which made her conscious about her look and lightly ironed the dress with her fingers. But the retainer said, "I don’t see what’s strong with her. A flick and I worry she would be turn to dust."

 Renard smiled as he heard her speak and quickly inched toward her which made her regret answering him as he smells like someone who wouldn’t leave the things he was curious of until every single details from his questions were answered.
 "What does human do usually?" Renard asked, his tone genuinely inquisitive rather than teasing. After a thoughtful pause, he added, "Aside from their daily necessities, of course. His Highness’s books do not cover such... everyday matters in much detail."
 Arabella blinked. "Well, we do plenty, farming, weaving, working, eating—" this was all the same as other vampires so what was so odd about it?
 Yet Renard’s face lit up like he just uncovered a ground breaking fact. He leaned forward, eyes sparkling like a dog who saw the owner swinging treats before his eyes. "Eating! That’s very interesting. So it is truly essential? I always wondered if it was merely a habit or a requirement."
 Karnala, standing beside him, remained impassive. Her tone appeared as stiff as a board as she schooled him, "Sir Renard, humans would perish without daily sustenance. Three times a day for a healthier life is what was said good for them. It is not a mystery."
 "Oh, I understand that," Renard raised his eyebrows upon seeing Karnala’s smug smile as if she knew better about humans than him while Bella watched the two trying to learn about humans. "But I was wondering about how essential it is. We don’t decorate our food like humans do but when I walked down the Borline Street, I saw a lot of dishes being decorated so prettily, they are even colorful! So I was wondering if humans eat for mere survival, or is there genuine, perhaps satisfaction or pleasure in the act?" His eyes gleamed with curiosity as he turned back to Arabella.
 Arabella smiled and seeing how genuine his question was she thoughtfully considered his words, "I suppose it’s both. There is a sense of satisfaction in eating enough and pleasure in eating what you like, I suppose. The taste, the warmth, food can bring comfort to humans in a way. Vampires could also eat humans food right? You should give it a try."
 "Right! Renard’s brows lifted with genuine interest. "You’re correct, I can try it! I completely forgot that was an option. Some vampires opted not to touch food since though they do have a taste it’s the same as eating something that would never make you full. But I haven’t given it a try which I maybe should. This would be a very interesting experience! How about we learn what humans do to their food and try decorating our own food with similar things? Like fruits? Flowers? Creme?"
 Arabella couldn’t help but gulped in disgust. "That won’t be... a great idea I think." A human blood mixed with fruits and creme or milk, she could already feel a shudder from her bone imagining how that would look.
 Renard sulked, pouting his lips. "I see so it’s not good?" and when she shook his head, he smiled, "Well there is a lot I don’t know about humans but now that we have you here, we could simply ask you."
 "Sir Renard," Karnala stopped him and he snapped his finger.
 "Right, I mean if you would allow us to do so? Would you be willing to teach me?"
 Arabella blinked in surprise at his sincere tone. "You’re serious?"
 Renard nodded earnestly, smiling wider than the window behind him "Of course. If I am to understand humans better, what better way than by sharing in their customs?"

 </div> Karnala finally sighed. She walked toward Bella and whispered, "Miss Human don’t simply agree to his wishes. Sir Renard have the bad habit of overusing someone’s kindness without knowing his limit. He almost caused someone else in a state of poverty before."
 "But I paid the human back! I was only curious why they would farm and tried their vegetables, I didn’t know that is how they made a living. Besides, how can we know if it would taste good or not for certain until I try?" he countered politely. "Maybe I will even start acquiring a tongue for it.."
 Arabella who was watching Renard was taken aback. Taken aback because the truth was all the vampires she saw only cared about their own benefits and what interest them. Despite the fact that they were now co-existing with humans, yet never tried to learn about humans made her think that none of the vampires ever cared about knowing a single thing about humans.
 But perhaps she was wrong, maybe they were also interested and if they come to an understanding wouldn’t the hope of them co-existing naturally without a single unfairness would perhaps be possible?
 Renard stared her with bright eyes and she snapped from her ponder , shaking her head. "Well, if you ever decide to try, I shall give you a recommendation to start."
 Renard beamed. "You have my gratitude, Miss Birdie. I look forward to the lesson!"
 Karnala exhaled through her nose. "Shall I prepare a physician in advance?"
 Arabella laughed, while Renard, ever composed, merely smiled. "I trust I shall survive the experience," he said optimistically.
 Just then they heard the footsteps and all of them had turned around almost in a union. They looked behind and Arabella could see how Renard’s smiling face to tighten into a strict one. He had bowed forward and his voice along with Karnala turn extremely polite as they spoke.
 "Your Highness, greeting to you. We greet you as well, Minister Juan, Minister Paolo."</div>
