Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 907
Losing one less Treasure is always a good thing.
Even though this Treasure has a side effect that might forcibly change the shape of one's body.
That's also why Alka took this Treasure out and used it as a test subject.
"Your Majesty, interested in watching the separation process?
This one is about to be separated."
Hearing that, Alka was immediately intrigued and nodded. Then he followed the Shadow Robe to the side of the furnace.
The Shadow Robe just stared fixedly into the furnace, so Alka shifted a little to the side so he wouldn't disturb its operation.
Roughly a bit more than ten minutes passed.
The Shadow Robe suddenly moved, its figure abruptly expanding, and the cloak wrapping it spread out to the side.
Thus its true body under the cloak could be seen—though for a Dream Realm creature, both the outer cloak and the body inside were all part of its body.
Inside was nothing but a mass of light and shadow. Two strands of light-shadow stretched out into long, thin tentacles that shot straight into the molten fire.
Under Alka's astonished gaze, they began stirring within the molten fire.
Those two tentacles were clearly part of the Shadow Robe, but the molten fire inside apparently didn't harm them in the slightest.
Alka's narrowed eyes blinked, and his eyes that could see through secrets looked into the molten fire. He saw a speck of golden light flickering inside.
The golden light flickered slightly, then went out in an instant.
But in less than a second, the golden light appeared again.
The two light-shadow tentacles dragged something out.
He could see a transparent crystal which, after leaving the molten fire, quickly vaporized and vanished. But on the other side, what came out was a Divine Essence.
This Divine Essence was brown, violently shaking, bound by two of the Shadow Robe's tentacles. That seemed to be not quite enough, so several more tentacles shot out and tightly wrapped and bound the Divine Essence.
Large amounts of light and shadow pressed close to the surface of the Divine Essence and spread, slowly wrapping it up. Only after it was completely enveloped did it finally quiet down, and the Shadow Robe dragged it over in front of them.
Seeing this, Alka touched his ring, and the empty box meant for storing Treasures that had been kept inside the ring opened up.
Although this box had originally been taken from the Church back in the Homeland Sea,
its quality shouldn't be a problem.
As the box opened, the Shadow Robe immediately placed the Divine Essence inside, then withdrew its light and shadow.
Alka saw that brown Divine Essence appear in the box and still quivering, and he promptly shut the box.
Once the box closed over it and cut off any connection with the outside, the Divine Essence suddenly stopped shaking.
Clearly, this box was good enough.
Alka clearly noticed that the Shadow Robe seemed somewhat fatigued; he nodded to it and said, "You've worked hard. Get some good rest."
The Shadow Robe nodded.
Alka didn't disturb it further and carried the two boxes back to reality.
As Alka opened his eyes, everyone saw a faint glow appear in his palm along with a new box.
Akka had entered the Dream Realm with his real body, but the box had only entered the Dream Realm; bringing it back out cost him a bit of gold and silver Energy.
They saw two special boxes used for holding Treasures, one large and one small.
"So Lucilia really did guess it right?" Jason said while looking at the two boxes.
Hearing that, Alka smiled.
"No, you definitely won't guess this one."
Then he felt a weight on his shoulder as Lucilia sat down on it, her gaze fixed on the boxes.
"Don't tell me these aren't the Treasures you were purging the aura from just now?" Lucilia felt sure she hadn't guessed wrong and asked in some disbelief.
"Let's talk in the Treasure Vault."
After all, this was Divine Essence, its Energy extremely conspicuous, and this was a harbor. Many of the ships moored nearby were Ghost Ships.
Who knew if some powerful figure might pass by and sense this aura? It might not necessarily bring trouble, but just being marked would be annoying.
Hearing that, everyone was slightly surprised and had Ulu Liwus and the Puppet Girls go on alert.
"So annoying. If only I could shrink," Ulu Liwus grumbled about it.
She was just as curious about what it was.
They arrived at the Treasure Vault. The vault wasn't large to begin with, and it already held their riches.
All of them squeezing inside made it feel a bit cramped.
"You did guess right; there are indeed Treasures in here, but maybe not the kind of Treasure you were thinking of."
With that, Alka opened the box.
Inside were three Divine Essences.
"Divine Essence? Why is it Divine Essence?" Simon was instantly stunned at the sight and hurriedly asked.
His curiosity was fully unleashed.
"Don't tell me those Cultists were actually granted Divine Power by their Evil God, instead of wielding Treasures?" Jason guessed from the side.
That was already the most likely answer.
At this moment, Chadite stared at Alka and said, "Or our captain has found a way to separate the Divine Essence inside a Treasure."
Hearing that, everyone's eyes widened slightly as they all turned to look at Alka, waiting for his answer.
The reason they hadn't considered this possibility was because it was just too absurd.
