Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 951 - 399: Battle
The door swung open.
Inside was a grand and spacious hall, with luxurious carpets spread across the floor. Marble-like, smooth tiles were neatly lined along the surrounding walls.
Tapestries, precious decorations, and portraits of ancestor kings were orderly displayed above.
Looking into the farthest part of the hall, there was a slightly elevated platform. Atop the platform, a simple metallic throne stood imposingly.
On the throne, the burly man was dressed in rich yet simple robes, seated above.
In his hand, it seemed he was holding some papers, while two knights in heavy armor silently stood guard behind the throne.
As Alka and the others pushed the door open.
Kriel lifted his head and saw the figure of the guard falling at the doorway as the door opened.
The two knights behind him, with lightning speed, instantaneously noticed something was wrong and immediately drew their weapons to shield him.
A tear in space appeared behind the throne.
Yet, as soon as the tear appeared, it vanished without a trace.
In Krier's tightly furrowed gaze, a roly-poly toy fell right into the center of the hall.
The roly-poly toy swayed slightly in the center of the hall, making the surrounding space exceptionally stable.
The enemy's space abilities were sealed, and Alka also sealed his own space abilities.
Simple use of space might be manageable, but trying to perform space transformation, or even move between spaces, was mere wishful thinking.
Matilda waved her hand, and from the plant pots originally placed on both sides of the hall. Vines started to grow frantically, one after another.
These vines began crawling and wrapping around the walls. They instantly covered the entire hall in a layer, blocking any entrance to the outside with verdant plants.
The whole process moved like flowing clouds and water.
It took less than three seconds.
Kriel looked at the potted plants sprouting vines, these pots had been arranged during this period.
"Balazs, is it? After all these years, is it finally starting?"
Kriel stood up, looking at the slowly approaching Alka and his companions.
"Are you the helpers that Balazs found, attempting to take down a king within his palace?"
"Where is Balazs, my nephew? Doesn't he want to witness this in person?"
Kriel completely failed to recognize Alka and his companions, and Alka lightly waved his fingers. The mask covering everyone's faces turned into liquid mercury and slid off.
Gathering upon Alka, this was the effect produced by the Mirror Surface, combined with the Dream Realm's ability, constructing some facial detail disguise.
Looking at Alka and his companions revealing their true identities.
Even Kriel couldn't help but widen his eyes, it had only been a few years, he couldn't possibly forget Alka and his companions.
Getting drawn into the dream, and the experiences on that island. He would never forget them in his lifetime.
And the few who were supposed to have died, suddenly appearing before him, how could this not shock him.
He furrowed his brows, looking at Alka and his companions, and asked, "You all really didn't die?"
In such a place, at such a time, Alka and his companions not dying was incredibly shocking to him.
In his mind, he never thought that Alka and his people would survive.
Alka did not answer his question, but instead, strangely asked, "Why would you think we died? Did you see our corpses?"
"Or did you personally witness our deaths? Or do you actually know nothing at all and are simply guessing blindly?"
Saying this, Alka and his companions couldn't help but laugh.
Kriel's face turned solemn, silently saying, "It seems during the time I was unconscious, quite a stir happened around me."
He might now almost understand some possibilities, perhaps the scene he saw upon waking was partially fabricated.
Arranged by someone.
"I have to admit your rapid strength enhancement exceeded my expectations, but if you think this alone allows you to take my life,
then you might be overthinking it."
Kriel had mostly figured out the current strength of Alka and his companions.
The strongest among them should be Alka, whose strength was nearing the Middle Stage of the Fourth Stage, while the others were only at the Fourth Stage.
Even though Alka and his companions had numbers on their side, they still couldn't pose any fatal danger to him.
He had already firmly stood at the Fifth Stage, although the two knights in front of him were only at the Perfection of the Third Stage.
Because the country lacked more treasure, and even if there were, it was unlikely to be bestowed upon these guards.
But the gap between stages was immense.
Reaching this point, he couldn't help but look at the flower pots on the walls again.
"Use all your remaining tricks, I'm sure Balazs already told you about my strength. Or do you really intend to rely on just your few Fourth-Stage beings to take me down, that would only make me look down on you.
Is it Visk? I heard this blindly faithful fellow holds a treasure, it's been many years, should be at the Fifth Stage as well."
Visk was the middle-aged knight behind Narminis, the knight whose strength had reached the Fifth Stage.
