Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 998 - 414: Splendid Grand Library (Part 3)
"I could stay here for a lifetime," Lucilia said.
But just after she spoke, she patted her head: "No, I’ve already spent a lifetime in a place like this. I take back what I just said."
She couldn’t help but think about the things before her death.
"With so many books, how are we supposed to find the information we need? We can’t just look randomly, even just reading the titles and summaries might take a month or even years."
The exaggerated collection of books made Juanlu speak out.
"Let’s spread out and take a look; this place is a bit too large."
Alka said as he walked in one direction directly, with the others heading in their own directions.
Here too was a zero-gravity environment where you could gently leap up to reach the books higher up.
Alka reached the center, where the light column was located.
Floating at the top was that giant book that just made a flapping sound.
Below, slabs of stone floated within the light column.
On these stone slabs were intricate and incomprehensible scripts, carved with some form of knowledge.
Alka squinted slightly, then immediately closed his eyes.
Just a glance made his eyes ache, clearly, it was best not to probe too deeply into the secrets here.
Though he couldn’t see the text on the slabs, Alka gently leapt up to the giant floating book.
Looking at the book that moved without wind, he saw it was a catalog.
And it wasn’t purely textual, but had maps and illustrations.
This book seemed to have neither a first page nor a last, flipping continuously.
Alka could feel an emotional connection searching, as if inquiring.
After some thought, Alka linked up.
The book began to rustle, then a line of text appeared.
"Divine of Four Divisions"
Judging by the title, it seemed to introduce the story or historical record of the Divine of Four Divisions.
It was precisely what Alka wanted to read.
Then the book shook again, transforming into a hollowed map.
One of the bookshelves trembled slightly; according to the map, it was in the twelve o’clock direction at the top.
Quickly turning back, he called to the others who were looking around, "Come to the front of this gigantic book, link with its search connection, and it will help you find the book you’re looking for."
Without waiting for the others, he let out a slight burst of Magic Power.
Propelling himself towards the indicated direction.
Though there were many floating bookshelves here, Alka could clearly find the one that had just emerged.
Landing in front of the bookshelf.
At the top of the entire bookshelf was a plaque.
Written on it in White Crocodile Language: "The Darkest Descent - The First Ascenders."
The bookshelf should record the era that the Dragon King just mentioned, where millions of gods fell to mortals.
This should be the record of the first group of ascenders.
Alka looked at the books in front of him.
Not all of the languages could he understand, truth be told, he recognized less than half.
And of the languages he understood, 80% were written in White Crocodile Language.
He was immensely grateful that he had once learned this language.
The remaining languages he could understand were mostly written in the language of the Divine of Four Divisions. Though some texts seemed to have some alterations, they should have stemmed from the ancient languages.
This means that the regions governed by the four Divines all used languages that their Divines once used, only slightly altered and simplified over long use.
In the books Alka could read, he discovered several that might interest him.
"Alkede: The Usurpation Journey."
"Split into Two" "Desire Short Story"
"Mother of the Stubborn Stone, Ollie Lusping, Barefoot Sheaf of Wheat Virgin Mary."
And the one he initially wanted, "Divine of Four Divisions."
After taking out this book, Alka did not immediately open it but reached out for the book with the long title.
Alka felt that this book might be about the Holy Mother.
His current interest in this book was greater than in the one he initially sought.
On the cover was a painting of a bare-footed elegant woman, of ordinary appearance, walking among wheat sheaves.
He was almost certain.
Alka opened it, browsing through.
Indeed.
It was about the deeds of the Holy Mother from that era.
She should have been one of the first to return to Ascension to Divinity after the fall.
