Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1375: The Little Guy’s Expectation
After Justin Kingston and Mia Lane left, Janelle Mills finally felt less pressure and let out a breath of relief.
The aura of those two was so strong, it always subtly made people feel oppressed.
A pair of large hands hugged her shoulders, pulling Janelle back from her thoughts. As she turned her gaze, she met Trevor’s deep eyes. He said, "Let’s go." Then he naturally released his hold, put his hands in his pockets, and stepped towards the hospital lobby.
Janelle was slightly stunned, then followed him.
She couldn’t help recalling the last time she saw CEO Kingston and Mrs. Kingston; they probably didn’t have a strong impression of her, right?
They were so busy yet flew to Eldoria to save Trevor; the grandeur of that day represented the weight of familial affection.
She knew Trevor had a great relationship with his sister and also knew CEO Kingston and Mrs. Kingston had a wonderful relationship. What a harmonious and loving family.
In the Lamborghini heading towards the Kingston Group, the driver was driving while Justin Kingston and Mia Lane sat in the spacious back seat, their fingers gently interlocked.
The beautiful morning sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating their faces.
Mia Lane rested her head lightly on Justin’s shoulder, a faint smile unconsciously appearing at the corner of her lips, "Do you remember last time at Darcy Manor? This girl appeared in Trevor’s room."
"Not in the room, on the bed." Justin’s voice was deep as wine, speaking with certainty.
Mia couldn’t help but laugh, "Yeah, right."
Recalling that scene, Justin said with a bit of certainty, "In my view, this girl is undoubtedly your future sister-in-law."
"I find it strange too." Mia was slightly distracted, furrowed her brows with confusion, "Since they’re together and have an unusual relationship, why did they only introduce her as a friend? Why not openly admit she’s his girlfriend? We’re not like we wouldn’t bless him."
Justin turned his gaze, his large hand caressed her cheek, "Because Trevor loves her and wants to protect her; he must have his own considerations."
"What is there to consider? Dad is so open-minded." The woman was even more puzzled, "Is this a normal way of thinking for you men?"
"It is." He nodded, "Trevor is cautious because he treasures this relationship deeply. If it isn’t in a particularly stable state, he won’t make it public. If it becomes stable, then it’s highly likely they’ll enter the halls of marriage."
This actually aligns with his brother’s mature and steady character; Mia recalled Janelle’s visage, feeling joyful, "This girl is nice, very pretty and seemingly kind."
"The eyes are the windows to the soul." Justin had observed in secret, "Her character is decent too; she’s not like those scheming women outside who approach him intentionally."
"I have the same feeling." Mia trusted her instinct, "I hope my brother can be happy; he has suffered enough in the first half of his life and needs a good girl to warm his second half."
"Your brother is also a warm-hearted man; as long as he likes someone, he’ll give his all."
"Yeah, so will they be happy?"
"..."
Morning, inside Providence Hospital.
In the innermost room of the suite, Ethan Dalton sat in a chair, holding his father’s hand, raising his head and persistently shaking, "Brother said he would come today, will he forget? Will he really come?"
"He will."
David Garcia knew there were many things in the company that needed his son’s attention. He explained kindly and patiently, "Brother definitely remembers what he promised Ethan, but he has to first go to the company to handle work."
"Will Janelle come today?" The little guy tilted his head expectantly, it seemed this was the real focus.
David Garcia replied with a smile, still very affirmed, "She will!"
