Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1389: Nathan Mills Really Has Some Skills
Nathan Mills stood by the passenger seat, patiently looking at her, thinking, you’re worried enough to call me, so what’s with the act?
Carlotta Sterling was in a dilemma, raising her eyes to look at the sky; the winter wind was gradually getting chilly.
"Why so awkward?" Nathan Mills supported the open car door and said bluntly, "You might as well treat this as a ride-hailing service; just pay me the fare!"
Carlotta Sterling met his gaze, feeling helpless; the suitcase had already been loaded into the car by him.
Inside the taxi, Janelle Mills watched this stalemate unfold and was extremely anxious.
Why isn’t she getting in the car?
What are they doing?
Hurry and follow Dad! Old Mills really should’ve helped her get in!
Janelle Mills wished she could use her mind to push her mom into the car!
After about a few seconds, she finally saw Sister Sterling compromise, turning around and getting into his car; she also seemed to see a smile on Old Mills’ face.
Watching him close the car door, he walked around the car body and sat back in the driver’s seat. Before long, the car drove off.
"Miss, are you getting off or not?" The taxi driver glanced back at her, "Don’t delay my next job."
"No, follow closely." Janelle Mills pointed with her hand, "Just that car ahead!" She was very excited, wanting to see where Dad would take Sister Sterling.
"Alright." The taxi driver restarted the car; he loved picking up this kind of slightly thrilling trailing job.
Inside the car ahead, Carlotta Sterling was once again in this man’s passenger seat, feeling really uncomfortable.
In the business world, a decisive female strongman, her eyes were surprisingly a bit at a loss, even her breathing became unnatural.
She picked up her phone to search for nearby hotels.
Without looking at her phone screen, Nathan Mills already knew her intention.
So he spoke to her while driving, "You don’t need to look; the nearby hotels are like this, not accepting guests from today, and the other half are fully booked, it’s all saturated."
Carlotta Sterling turned her eyes, watching him with disbelief, could it be so coincidental?
He glanced at her with a smile, saying, "Don’t doubt it, my company has several hotels under its wing, but rest assured, since you’ve come to Riventhal, I certainly won’t let you sleep on the streets."
So, is he taking her to his place?
Carlotta Sterling protested directly, "Nathan Mills, I’m not going to your place! Let me out of the car!"
"Rest assured, I have extra houses I can lend you for free; I’m not asking you to stay under the same roof with me."
"I don’t need your house! I have friends on this side, I can stay at the Hawthorne family!"
"No need to trouble others," he emphasized, "It’s not like you’re just staying one night; they have their families, and your stay would be inconvenient, you’re going to stay for a week or even longer."
The man’s words were spoken without hesitation and aroused the woman’s vigilance, a week?
This was a keyword; the daughter was leaving for a week too.
So Carlotta turned to glare at him coldly, "Are you and Janelle colluding just to make me move out?"
"What’s that supposed to mean? Am I that capable? All the hotels are inventorying, it’s not surprising, right?"
He drove the car saying to her, "I have a house, it’s empty, why not stay there? I really don’t understand you."
Carlotta Sterling also knew that bothering friends wasn’t good, but... her mind was momentarily chaotic, unable to find words to refute.
Before long, the car entered a quiet asphalt road, here flanked by similarly sized small villas, lush greenery everywhere, the environment elegant and beautiful.
The car finally stopped outside one of his properties, "Here we are." Nathan Mills unfastened his seatbelt and got out of the car.
He grabbed the suitcase and walked towards the living room, "I’ll send the location to Janelle or perhaps go to pick her up." He glanced back at the woman who had just gotten out of the car.
