Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1479: He’s Ian Shelby?
"Alright, keep in touch anytime." With this added connection, everyone’s hearts drew closer.
Mia Lane and Justin Kingston came today for Jocelyn Morgan, so after the Morgan family took Jocelyn away, they no longer had a reason to linger.
Anyway, Ethan was accompanied by Trevor and Janelle Mills.
Therefore, Mia bid farewell to Harlan Quinn, leaving a contact method, and they exchanged numbers.
"Are you accompanying Ethan?" Mia looked at Trevor and then at Janelle Mills, "When will you return to the city?"
"Around noon," Trevor replied to her, "You guys take care of your business first."
Mia nodded, "The company has matters to attend to this morning, so we’ll head off first." Then she cast her gaze on Ian Shelby’s face.
Ian looked calm, but exhaustion and fatigue were written all over his face. He had been emotionally burdened these past days.
He said, "You go ahead, I’ll be back soon." After all, everyone had their own cars.
"Alright." Mia nodded, reminding him, "Drive safely and take your time."
"Okay."
Thus, she and Justin bade farewell to Harlan Quinn once again and walked towards the Lamborghini. The driver had already opened the car door, and after they got in, everyone watched the car drive away.
Only today did Harlan know that she was Mrs. Kingston, and those two children were CEO Kingston’s flesh and blood.
Giving her the medicine book was a very wise choice; the book’s value could be maximized to alleviate pain for more patients, maybe even save lives.
Trevor and Janelle Mills watched Ian take a few steps forward to stand before Dean Quinn.
Ian’s slightly furrowed brows hinted at his current mood, but his upbringing made him respectfully bow and sincerely say, "Thank you, Dean, for saving Jocelyn."
Dean Quinn hurriedly reached out and held his arms, "It’s nothing, just a small effort."
"I’m Ian Shelby, the director of Providence Hospital, here’s my business card." With that, Ian handed over a card, sincerely saying, "If the welfare house ever needs my help, just give me a call."
He was Ian Shelby?? The director of Providence Hospital Ian Shelby?
This name coming from Jocelyn’s mouth hadn’t prompted deep thought from Harlan Quinn, initially assuming it was just a namesake.
But Providence Hospital was famous, and Director Ian Shelby was a medical genius! He’d developed countless new medications for stubborn diseases, saving many lives.
He was actually so young!
So humble!
Harlan was very excited, inexplicably moved, as he quickly accepted the card, "Alright!"
Ian’s eyes were full of sincerity as he looked at him, which also deeply moved Trevor and Janelle Mills—they had personally witnessed the Morgan elders’ attitude towards him upstairs.
Despite being injured himself, Ian had handled everything so meticulously. He came for Jocelyn, yet couldn’t take her away; how much pain must his heart be in?
In the departing car.
Finn Morgan was driving, with Jocelyn sitting between Everett Morgan and Jasmine in the back seat. They held her hands, which were a bit cold, one on each side.
She could feel the heavy concern from them, but Jocelyn’s heart was still with Ian.
Not seeing him for days, he’s become haggard... he’s grown a beard... isn’t he a director, why doesn’t he care about his appearance?
He must also deeply blame himself these days, right?
He surely hasn’t been sleeping well, right?
"Jocelyn, you shouldn’t write novels during this time," Jasmine said, feeling for her, "Once you get home, focus on recovering. We’re taking you to the hospital for a comprehensive checkup now."
"Auntie, I’m fine..." Jocelyn snapped back, a smile tugging at her lips, "Dean is a Chinese medicine doctor, he checked my pulse. I’ve been drinking his medication and am almost fully recovered, so there’s no need for the hospital."
Then she looked at Jasmine and Everett Morgan, "Uncle, Auntie, you really can’t blame Ian for this."
"He’s the one who took you out, so he’s to blame!" Jasmine felt a surge of anger at this thought, "He’s just a doctor who only knows how to care for his patients, not how to be in a relationship!"
