Tyrannical Tycoon Haunts Me Relentlessly
Chapter 1102: Hypnosis
"What’s going on?" Leng Zhishuo asked calmly.
"There are just some things that I haven’t figured out yet, it’s nothing much. You go ahead, I’ll sleep a bit more and then come find you."
Leaving a word behind, Xia Yinian turned around, went back, and directly fell onto the bed.
Leng Zhishuo didn’t leave, he even followed her in.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed that the computer screen Xia Yinian had accidentally bumped into earlier was still on, and he stepped over to it.
The two of them have spent a lot of time in the same room together, and neither minded.
The girl fell onto the bed, and her breathing quickly became even. The man glanced at the content on the computer screen and sat down directly at the desk.
It wasn’t anything confidential, just some web pages, and he didn’t mind looking through the pages she had browsed.
Falling back to sleep, when Xia Yinian woke up again, it was already past ten in the morning.
Strictly speaking, she was awakened by hunger.
No one else came into the main house, and when Xia Yinian went downstairs, only Leng Zhishuo was really reading the newspaper.
"Xiao Tao, please prepare a breakfast for me, thank you." Xia Yinian came over and sat down opposite Leng Zhishuo.
"Yes, Miss Niannian." Xiao Tao acknowledged and left.
"Brother Leng, I have something I want to ask you." Xia Yinian looked at the man opposite her.
"Go ahead." Leng Zhishuo’s gaze remained on the newspaper.
"Have you heard about this thing called hypnosis?" Xia Yinian furrowed her brows and said softly.
"A bit." Leng Zhishuo nodded.
"Do you really believe such a thing could exist? I mean, can you really hypnotize someone?" Xia Yinian suddenly became excited.
She had spent the whole night researching treatments for the Old Madam’s condition.
Some say it’s witchcraft, some say it’s senile dementia, and other theories, but Xia Yinian seemed to have some opinions about the possibility of hypnosis.
She had never believed in witchcraft, and the symptoms of dementia didn’t seem to match either.
If it were some other pathological issue, her grandma wouldn’t have been in this condition for more than half a month by now.
The Gu Family’s medical team isn’t there for nothing, especially with her uncle overseeing things.
So, in the end, Xia Yinian focused her attention on the words "hypnosis."
Additionally, with her later research on hypnotherapy, she increasingly felt that Grandma’s changes might really be related to this.
"Why wouldn’t it be possible?" Leng Zhishuo put down the newspaper and glanced at her, "Hypnotism is a technique commonly used by psychologists."
"Miss Niannian, your breakfast is ready." A maid came over with a small tray and set it in front of Xia Yinian.
"Okay." Xia Yinian gave the maid a casual glance and then returned her gaze to Leng Zhishuo.
"Do you mean you understand it as well?" She furrowed her brows and asked softly.
It can’t be, is Brother Leng really that capable? But that’s not the main issue, the main thing is if he understands, maybe he can help Grandma.
If it truly is hypnotism, Xia Yinian couldn’t help but worry.
Grandma hating her is a small issue, the most important thing is she saw online that the aftereffects of hypnosis can be severe.
Especially for something long-term like this, the consequences could be more serious.
But, it’s all too early to say, and things you read online can’t all be trusted.
"I don’t understand."
Leng Zhishuo’s simple two words were like a bucket of cold water poured over Xia Yinian’s head. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
"Not even a little bit?" She forced out a few words.
"No." Leng Zhishuo nodded, "But I know a famous psychologist who might understand."
