Urban Super Soldier King
Chapter 1956 - 2057: The King Returns to Sun City
"Look, it’s the leader’s car."
"It really is them, our leader has returned."
At this moment, someone shouted, and everyone turned to look behind them, seeing Xiang Yu’s convoy slowly approaching from afar.
"Xiang Yu! Xiang Yu!"
The crowd on the scene began to shout, and some even cried with excitement, their hope had returned.
Some of the spontaneously disbanded militias, seeing Xiang Yu return, quickly reformed their ranks and stood on both sides of the road.
Everyone stood with guns to welcome Xiang Yu’s return.
"Stop the car."
Tie Zhuzi, sitting in the car, saw this scene and quickly told the driver to stop, then turned to Xiang Yu and said, "Brother Yu, these people aren’t reliable."
Xiang Yu didn’t speak, stepping directly out of the car and walking forward with his head held high.
The crowd began to boil over, they had finally seen Xiang Yu.
The militia stood straight on either side, unlocking their guns and firing into the sky.
The City Guard Army quickly surrounded the area, with a team enclosing Xiang Yu to protect his safety.
Tie Zhuzi stayed close to Xiang Yu’s side, ready to handle any danger that might arise.
"Leader, you’ve finally returned."
"Leader! Leader!"
The crowd was originally calling Xiang Yu by his name, but someone shouted "Leader," and everyone began to shout "Leader," shaking the sky with their cries.
Wang Qian and Xi’er were also in the crowd. They didn’t come forward, only watching Xiang Yu from afar.
Meanwhile, inside the militia’s base, someone stood anxiously shouting at Eck, "Xiang Yu is right below. Just give the order, and I’ll finish him right now."
Eck had lost all confidence, lying there on the sofa, his face full of dejection.
"It’s over, everything’s over," Eck murmured.
"What are you saying? It’s not over yet. As long as we take down Xiang Yu now, the other militia brothers will definitely come over to our side," the person anxiously shouted.
"We’ve underestimated Xiang Yu, that was my oversight." Eck sighed, stood up, and tidied his clothes.
"What are you going to do?"
"I’m not one to fear death. Now that we’ve lost, I must bravely admit it. This is all my fault and has nothing to do with you. I will ask Xiang Yu to let you go," Eck said.
"Leader, we will follow you to the death." The person said, kneeling down immediately.
Ten others around him also kneeled; their resolve was strong. If Eck died, they would follow him.
"There’s no need for that. You must live well and then leave Sun City." Eck looked at them seriously and then strode toward the outside.
When Eck walked out of the base, the scene outside stunned him.
There were too many people cheering, with each person’s face wearing a joyous smile.
And Xiang Yu stood tall in the center of this crowd, looking in this direction.
"Look, that traitor has come out."
"Kill him, that fool who doesn’t know his own limits."
Seeing Eck, the crowd began to stir. Many people started throwing stones at him.
Even though the distance was too great for the stones to hit, the crowd kept throwing them.
Xiang Yu just stood there quietly watching him, not speaking. From former brother to current adversary, Xiang Yu didn’t know how to face him.
"Xiang Yu, I ask one thing of you," Eck pulled out a handgun and placed it on his forehead, "I orchestrated this alone, it has nothing to do with the others. If you let them go, I’ll die before you right now, absolutely not putting you in a difficult position."
"Nonsense, could you have gotten to this point without their participation?" Tie Zhuzi shouted anxiously.
"They’re all my subordinates, it’s their duty to follow orders. They were just carrying out my commands," Eck called out.
Xiang Yu wasn’t stupid; he knew Eck wanted to sacrifice himself to save his brothers’ lives.
"Shameless, they must not be released."
"Yes, such turncoats should be executed immediately."
The crowd began to riot, hating Eck, hating him for hurting Xiang Yu.
"Take your people and leave," Xiang Yu stood there and shouted.
"..."
Suddenly, everything went silent, and everyone looked at Xiang Yu in astonishment, not believing such an outcome.
Only Tie Zhuzi sighed beside Xiang Yu. He understood Xiang Yu the most, knowing Xiang Yu was a man of loyalty and righteousness, never willing to harm his brothers, no matter the situation.
It was true in the past, is true now, and will be true in the future.
"Brother Yu, if you can’t do it, let me handle it," Tie Zhuzi said.
Xiang Yu waved his hand, and then continued to look at Eck, "I don’t want to kill you, but there’s no place for you in Sun City anymore. Take your people and leave. You contributed to Sun City’s development, and I will ensure each of you has travel fare for the journey."
Eck’s eyes suddenly reddened; he remembered the oath he swore in front of Xiang Yu, thought of escaping COM with him.
His heart ached. If there were a remedy for regret in the world, he would spend everything to buy it.
"Xiang Yu, I’ve wronged you, let you down," Eck shouted.
The surroundings were quiet; no one spoke. They hadn’t expected Xiang Yu to make such a decision.
"The leader is truly a man of sentiment and integrity."
From afar, Xi’er murmured with starry eyes, while Long Wu proudly smiled and said, "Of course, I watched him rise from a petty thug to where he is now, his greatest hatred is brothers’ betrayal."
"He must be in a lot of pain right now." Xi’er sighed.
Long Wu nodded and stood silently.
Seeing Eck kneeling there, Xiang Yu didn’t speak and then turned to walk away.
The militia and City Guard Army quickly made way for him, not understanding what Xiang Yu was planning to do.
Tie Zhuzi followed behind Xiang Yu.
"Xiang Yu, thank you. In the next life, let’s be brothers again; I will never betray you then." Eck knelt and cried out, heartbroken.
Xiang Yu, as if he heard nothing, kept walking forward. He knew Eck was regretful, but it was too late.
"Bang!"
A gunshot rang out, as if echoing across the ages and touched Xiang Yu’s ears, leaving him stunned.
The whole world seemed to consist of only him, surrounded by darkness.
"Brother Yu, what’s the matter, Brother Yu..."
Tie Zhuzi saw Xiang Yu in a slight daze, his body unsteady, and quickly stepped forward to support him.
"Doctor, call a doctor quickly."
Someone shouted, and the scene instantly became chaotic, with everyone wanting to know how Xiang Yu was.
The City Guard Army swiftly escorted Xiang Yu away.
Behind, on the open ground of the militia, lay Eck in a pool of blood...
