Urban Super Soldier King
Chapter 1981 - 2082: The One I Love Most in This Life
"Shut up, all of you." Wang Qian shouted, "We are not murder demons. We are here for a mission, not to kill indiscriminately."
The others, seeing Wang Qian angry, remained silent.
"There must be a way out, don’t panic," Wang Qian encouraged everyone.
Just as they were trying to come up with a plan, a plane flew towards them, its searchlight directly illuminating the group.
"Take cover," Wang Qian shouted, but it was already too late.
The observer on the plane had spotted them and shouted through a loudspeaker, "You are surrounded, surrender immediately. We are the Hua Xia protection forces, we hope you don’t resist."
The voice from the plane was loud, and the Hua Xia soldiers searching from afar quickly moved towards them.
"Let’s fight them."
Someone among the Wolf Fang shouted, then charged towards the Hua Xia troops with a gun.
"Stop, stop!" Wang Qian shouted, but it was too late to stop them.
"Retreat, quickly retreat," that person shouted, firing at the Hua Xia army.
"Go!"
Although Wang Qian didn’t want to leave her brothers behind, if they didn’t leave now, it might be too late.
Seeing someone resist, the Hua Xia army mercilessly opened fire.
After all, Hua Xia had the home advantage, surrounded by special forces, and supported by aircraft from above. That person hadn’t fired many shots before being taken down by a sniper on the plane.
"They’re escaping towards the West Street, everyone take note, the suspects are heading towards West Street."
The observer on the plane reported the situation, their searchlight clearly revealing the scene on the ground.
Wang Qian and her group were in good shape, but unfamiliar with the surrounding geography. If they ran blindly, they’d end up in the traps set by Hua Xia soldiers.
"Boss, we can’t escape. You better hide quickly, we’ll distract them."
"Yes, we’ll divert them, Boss, you hide."
The members of Wolf Fang also recognized the situation; in this environment, escape was impossible. They could only minimize their losses.
"No, if we die, we die together. I’m not someone who fears death," Wang Qian stubbornly said.
"There’s no time, Boss, hide quickly."
"Stop talking, my mind is made up..."
Wang Qian had made up her mind to live and die with her brothers, but before she could finish, she suddenly blacked out.
These brothers were Wang Qian’s most trusted aides. Ever since joining Wolf Fang, she had been with them.
Wang Qian knew them longer than she knew Xiang Yu. She didn’t have many relatives in this world, and these brothers were her spiritual support.
Until she met Xiang Yu, whom she liked and thought was her lifelong pursuit, but eventually realized some people are destined to only exist in one’s heart.
Who knows how much time passed, but Wang Qian had a dream, where she lived in a small village.
Wang Qian was dressed simply, cooking, while outside Xiang Yu played happily with several children.
In the dream, they were married and had five kids, with Wang Qian smiling blissfully.
"Xiang Yu, stop playing, it’s time for dinner," Wang Qian said with a happy smile.
She stood up and walked out of the kitchen, seeing Xiang Yu with his back to her. She went over and hugged his waist, leaning on his shoulder.
Just then, Xiang Yu turned his head with a sinister smile, looking terrifying.
"What’s wrong?" Wang Qian asked puzzledly.
At that moment, a child behind her screamed, the sound was harrowing.
And their house caught fire, the flames were huge, covering the children.
"Xiang Yu, put out the fire, save us."
Wang Qian began to scream, but Xiang Yu stood there unmoved, coldly watching her.
"Xiang Yu..."
Wang Qian screamed in despair but the fire grew, engulfing her children in the flames.
"Ah..."
With a shriek, Wang Qian finally awoke from the dream, soaked in sweat, her heart racing from the vividness of the dream that left her momentarily disoriented.
She looked around, finding nothing but darkness, making it hard to discern her surroundings, but felt the softness beneath her—a bed.
"Are you alright?"
A familiar voice rang out, one she often heard in dreams, hoping to spend her life with this person, but now everything had changed.
Wang Qian reached for a gun, discovering her clothes had been changed at some point.
Startled, she checked her body instinctively, finding nothing amiss other than fatigue, knowing Xiang Yu hadn’t done anything to her.
"Looking for this?" Xiang Yu, seated by the bed, produced a gun.
Wang Qian adjusted to her surroundings gradually, and with the light streaming in from outside, she saw clearly what Xiang Yu held.
She took the gun without hesitation, disabling the safety and pointing it at Xiang Yu’s head.
Xiang Yu neither moved nor spoke, his gaze fixed firmly on Wang Qian.
"Why, why did you betray me?"
Wang Qian’s eyes reddened, but she held back her tears.
Xiang Yu was the person she trusted most in life and the only one she ever loved, but now he was the one who hurt her the most.
Although she didn’t know what happened last night, she could guess her brothers lured away the Hua Xia army to protect her.
"Why?"
Wang Qian slightly lost control, forcefully pressing the gun to Xiang Yu’s head, but ultimately couldn’t bring herself to pull the trigger, lowering the gun instead.
"I didn’t betray you, you just underestimated Hua Xia’s strength and vigilance, tomorrow is a major day for Hua Xia, they’d conduct a thorough search, nowhere around the capital would be safe," Xiang Yu said.
"What about the seventh location?" Wang Qian shouted.
"Relatively, it’s the safest. If you had prepared there from the start, you’d have had time to escape," Xiang Yu said.
Wang Qian couldn’t control her emotions anymore, tears streaming down her face.
Xiang Yu felt equally terrible, knowing the feeling of betrayal, especially by someone you trust the most.
He had once been betrayed by Zhong Min and nearly lost his life, a lifelong scar, yet now he had hurt someone else.
"I’m sorry..."
"Say no more, Xiang Yu, from now on we’re severed in ties and friendship, if we meet again, we’re mortal enemies, I won’t hold back."
Wang Qian was overwhelmed with sadness; saying those words took all her strength, as she felt a suffocating despair, losing any attachment to the world...
