Trevor was really shocked about what exactly was happening this was definitely her trump card

With the knowledge of magic he already had he was already quite sure that this was not a normal f or d ranked spell

With the normal spells magic would have definalterly take the normal route like the tyrants he saw yesterday would have more magical capabilities than him

But when it came to ancient magic that was already a different case entirely he was already quite sure that it was a different case entirely

In ancient magic spells where ranked from f rank all the way to sss ranks normal humans would have to fight with they weaker spells like the f and the d ranks and then use higher ranks as they trump cards

Thats exactly why one having an essence and studying ancient magic was already a trump card as far as trevor was concerned

Because if he learnt for example a spell related to his essence he could learn it much faster and also one of a way higher rank than usual

Thats exactly why trevor had decided to go on the part of ancient magic in the first place

Elena was still in the battle field raining down more ice spears on the foxes and before long the was no longer growling any where

All of a sudden trevor was caught out of his daze by a loud sound

"What the hell do you think your stairing at" the woman spoke her eyes looking straigh at trevor with treating gaze

"Nothing really" trevor said shouting her a confident look as he approached her

But elena didnt seem to be welcoming at all

"Your really weak i cant even sense the mana pulsing from you whats your level in ancient magic" she said calmly as trevor approached

"Am just a beginner but with enough practice a should break into the apprentice level soon" trevor replied calmly

"Wow such a weakling"emily scoffed as she turned to face the opening of the cave

"They are about three more fire foxes in that cave and your going to kill them alone"

Trevor already nodded in agreement eager to lunge straight at the beings inside after all that was why he was here to kill more creatures level up and finally reach the adept level in ancient magic

"Wait there some things you need to know firstly ancient magic is not really as simple as you think i saw you earlier trying to cast spells

And i must be sincere with you it looked like a toddler learning how to walk

To be sincere if i hadnt come here in time you would have been killed already" she said giving trevor a serious look before moving to continue what she was actually saying

"For now dont keep try to make a barrier you need to use magic enough and level up you trying now is only a waste of time stick to just simply fire balls" she said calmly looking at trevor again with a serious look

"And who told you ancient magic in battle is dependant you need your combat skills too so stop standing in one place like a statue closing your eyes and trying to cast a spell bigger than what you can afford when death comes lunging at you" elena spoke raw and unforgiven

Trevors head was already down in shame there was really nothing she had said right now that was not the truth

But before trevor could even think much two foxes came lunging out of the cave

Trevor was already had no time to think twice he was going to apply all elena had just told him

Trevor was expecting to see three foxes but he saw 5 instead

But he was not still phased at all

He immediately enquipped his eyes of hades after all the woman specifically said that magic could be used with combat knowledge

But he knew the draw down of fighting with a card

He had to be very quick in his battles right now his lust essence was merely at 2000 and since his eyes of hades card was now at level two it was consuming lesser essence per second than usual but yet it still didnt mean alot he could only use 150 essence points for a card before it officially enters cool down mode

And trevor knew that was exactly 5 minutes.

But he had no choice he was learning magic so he didnt want to go really all out with his ware wolf combat card but at least the eyes of hades was already a really solid option at the point

The foxes looked at him with drooling mouths and they fire still covered around the body

Making them glow like some spiritual entities
