Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 96: Damian Buys More Gift Ammo
The auction soon continued, and several more items appeared on the stage.
However, most of them were not that interesting to Damian or useful for Akane.
Damian leaned back lazily and sighed. "Nothing special yet."
Akane smiled. "You just spent one hundred Mid-Rank Spirit Stones. Most people would already be satisfied."
Damian waved his hand. "That was a gift. Different feeling."
Raika glanced at him but said nothing, quietly storing the jade slip away.
A while later, the female deacon on the stage smiled brighter.
"Next item, Low-Rank Noble Grade pill."
The hall immediately became much quieter.
Damian’s eyes moved.
The deacon opened a small jade box, revealing a dark-red pill with faint golden lines around it.
"This pill is called the Iron Marrow Body Strengthening Pill. It can strengthen the body, temper the bones, improve blood vitality, and greatly increase physical endurance."
The disciples below became excited at once.
"A Noble Grade pill?"
"Body strengthening?"
The deacon smiled and continued, "Starting price, twenty Mid-Rank Spirit Stones."
Damian’s grin slowly appeared. "Now this is a good one."
After all, he did not have a proper Noble Grade pill to gift yet.
The Low-Rank Noble Grade pills he had received from system returns were rewards, so they could not be used as gifts again. He needed items bought or obtained normally.
This pill was perfect.
Damian raised his bidding token. "Thirty Mid-Rank Spirit Stones."
Another disciple quickly followed. "Thirty-five."
Damian did not hesitate. "Fifty."
The hall quieted slightly.
After a short silence, no one continued.
The female deacon smiled. "Fifty Mid-Rank Spirit Stones, sold."
Damian leaned back with satisfaction. "Good."
But before his grin could fade, another item was brought out.
This time, it was a jade slip.
The deacon carefully held it up and spoke clearly, "Next item, Low-Rank Noble Grade sword art, [Falling Star Sword Art]."
The hall became even livelier than before.
A Noble Grade sword art was different from a single pill.
A pill could only be eaten once, but a sword art could become part of a cultivator’s strength for years.
Even if it was only Low-Rank Noble Grade, it was still something many Foundation Establishment disciples dreamed of owning.
The female deacon smiled. "Starting price, one hundred Mid-Rank Spirit Stones."
Damian’s eyes brightened again.
A Noble Grade sword art.
His grin became even wider. "Looks like today really is business day."
Without waiting, he raised his token again. "One hundred and fifty Mid-Rank Spirit Stones."
The moment Damian’s bid echoed through the auction hall, many disciples immediately turned quiet.
One hundred and fifty Mid-Rank Spirit Stones.
That was not a small amount.
For an ordinary inner disciple, even gathering that much money would take a very long time.
Still, a Noble Grade sword art was not something people could give up on so easily.
Soon, another voice came from the lower hall.
"One hundred and sixty Mid-Rank Spirit Stones."
Damian glanced down lazily.
It was a Sixth Stage Foundation Establishment disciple with a serious expression. Judging from his sword aura, he clearly wanted the [Falling Star Sword Art] badly.
Damian nodded slightly. "Good eyes."
Akane smiled. "Are you praising your opponent?"
Damian grinned. "Of course. He has good taste."
Raika glanced at him. "Because he wants the same thing as you?"
Damian nodded shamelessly. "Exactly."
Akane laughed softly.
Damian raised the bidding token again. "Two hundred Mid-Rank Spirit Stones."
The hall became even quieter.
The disciple below stiffened, clearly hesitating.
After several breaths, he gritted his teeth and sat back down.
The female deacon smiled brightly. "Two hundred Mid-Rank Spirit Stones. Is there a higher bid?"
No one answered.
"Two hundred once."
"Two hundred twice."
"Two hundred Mid-Rank Spirit Stones, sold!"
Damian leaned back in his chair with a satisfied grin.
Akane looked at him curiously. "You really like buying things today."
Damian smiled. "I told you already. Today is business day."
Akane tilted her head slightly. "And who is this sword art for?"
Damian turned toward her with a playful smile. "Why? Are you hoping it is for you?"
Akane blinked before smiling back. "Should I hope?"
Damian placed one hand over his chest. "If a beautiful flame genius hopes for something from me, how could I disappoint her?"
Raika immediately looked away. "Shameless."
Akane covered her mouth and laughed. "You really say those things without blinking."
Damian leaned closer slightly. "That’s because I’m honest."
Akane’s smile became warmer, but the faint redness near her ears still betrayed her. "Honest? You?"
Damian nodded seriously. "Very honest. Especially toward beautiful women."
Raika sighed. "That makes it worse."
A short while later, the auction continued.
Several more items appeared one after another. There were rare herbs, beast materials, recovery talismans, and a few strange tools from outside the sect.
Damian watched them with interest, but none of them made him bid again.
The final item was a damaged Noble Grade defensive formation disk, which caused a short wave of excitement before being bought by an elder in another private room.
After that, the female deacon walked back onto the stage and smiled toward everyone.
"Thank you all for attending today’s auction. The auction is now finished."
The disciples below slowly stood up and began leaving the hall.
Inside the private room, Damian stretched lazily and smiled. "Not bad. I came here to look around, but I actually found a few good things."
Akane smiled. "You spent quite a lot too."
Damian waved his hand. "Money exists to be spent."
Raika looked at him calmly. "That sounds exactly like something a suspicious rich young master would say."
Damian grinned. "Good. That means my image is stable."
Akane laughed again.
Soon, the auction servant brought over the items Damian had won: the Iron Marrow Body Strengthening Pill and the [Falling Star Sword Art] jade slip.
Damian stored them away carefully, his mood becoming even better.
"Good. One gift for Raika is done."
His eyes moved toward Akane for half a breath.
"And this flame beauty still needs something suitable too."
Akane noticed his gaze and smiled. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Damian smiled back. "Nothing. I was just thinking that today’s auction was very profitable."
Raika glanced at him. "For you or for us?"
Damian stood up and laughed. "Both, of course."
