We got back on the road to head towards the city in the distance.

There were a few Abhorrent Pawns that showed up along the way but since they weren’t attacking us as a horde, we dispatched them quickly and just continued on.

I was also half expecting to see another demon show up but surprisingly there weren’t any.

We reached the edge of the city right as the sun was going down.

The huge walls of the city could be seen looming over us imposingly, its height reaching all the way up to the sky like it was designed to repel enemies that were even bigger than Magridars in size.

Its length stretched from one end to the other and if I remember correctly from the map, it starts at one side of the coast to the other side, effectively cutting this entire part of the land off.

There were also lights attached at regular intervals on the surface of the wall, making it light up like a christmas tree where every inch of it was visible.

Even with how high the wall was, I could still see some parts of the city behind it sticking over the top. From what I know, the city was developed in such a way that it was expanding upwards more than sideways.

I can see why it’s called a metropolis.

There was a single gate that was tiny in comparison to the rest of the wall sitting right in the centre where the path we were on ended.

Even though I said it was tiny, the gate was still large enough that a Magridar could still fit through the gate if they were to just bend down at the waist.

We walked right up to it and unlike all the other city entrances we’ve been to so far, this one was closed shut and had no guards watching over it outside.

Hmm... I guess maybe they close up the city gates at night. Not really that surprising since we’ve been to a few places that also had the same arrangement where foot traffic dwindles when night falls.

In such cases, some places might still open the gates for you to pass but others would have you camp outside the walls and only let you in when dawn breaks out of safety concerns.

I wasn’t sure which security measure this city adopted but considering the fact that Lisa was bringing us right up to the gates instead of suggesting for us to camp for the night, I would assume that they would open the gates for us.

I watched as she went over to one part of the wall where she lifted up a stone panel that was made to hide a Mana Crystal inside a small indent in the wall and activated it by pouring her mana into it.

The Mana Crystal glowed and I could hear a chime coming in from behind the gates.

Was that supposed to be some kind of doorbell or something to let the guards know there’s someone here?

As though on cue, a head poked out from one of the holes in the wall, revealing a red skinned female Infrid who narrowed her eyes at us.

"Who goes there?!"

"Hello, hello~ We’re travellers coming from the Amrap forest~ Won’t you open the gate for us?"

"The Amrap forest? Are you telling me you travelled on foot all the way here?"

"Oh, no no~ We used the Waystone but we ended up appearing at the one that was outside the city instead. So we just walked the rest of the way here."

"Are you being followed by Abhorrents?" 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"Do you see any of them near us? Of course not~ Don’t worry, we’re a Mercenary party, we took care of those that tried to attack us~"

The Infrid guard grunted before disappearing back into the hole.

I assumed she was going to open the gates for us and sure enough, the sound of footsteps came from behind the gate.

Instead of opening the entire gate, the Infrid opened a side door beside it that was Mahun sized and allowed us to step through.

The first thing I noticed was that the Infrid was a futa and she only wore a small breast plate that covered her chest.

The second thing was that there was currently another female blue skinned Infrid that was in the midst of sucking her off who was completely naked.

I guess... This wouldn’t even be the first time I witnessed something like this so there shouldn’t be any reason for me to be surprised about...

But Ira was definitely staring at the sight like she was seeing something strange.

On the other hand, Minnera didn’t even give that sight a second glance despite also being an Off-Worlder.

The guard gestured for us to stand in front of her as she shut the door and locked it, the Infrid that was sucking her off moving in tune with her without impeding her somehow.
