Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?
Chapter 1341 - 842: All Foolish Children Are Alike (Part 2)
The enemy has been switching in a way that he cannot see!
Because it's called the Four Kings of Little Londo, there really are four enemies, and they can switch seamlessly, dodging the adventurer's major attacks!
This is the first time in Starfire Knight's life encountering an enemy with such ability.
Feature three, the Four Kings of Little Londo really have four people fighting.
Upon discovering this characteristic, the Starfire Knight immediately vetoed his thought of possibly winning this battle by luck.
The switching of the Four Kings of Little Londo is without trace and without pattern. If one wanted to break armor, the worst scenario would be that he needs to apply armor break to all four people in total, in order to have time to test the power of different magic attributes.
This, this is indeed a bit too much to ask for him.
He can merely ensure his survival with all his might, and even so, he paid the price of nearly destroying his armor and being covered in scars, the only fortunate thing is that he has not been stained by the Abyss yet, though he doesn't know why.
At this point, being a bit optimistic might give rise to a thought that victory is possible.
Then, he stared wide-eyed as the lonely Four Kings of Little Londo in front of him suddenly split into two.
Feature four, the Four Kings of Little Londo can split.
No words could describe his mood at that moment.
As the two identical enemies who seemed like mob clones came rushing towards him, his heart and hands went numb.
Just before the two shattered daggers landed on his neck, the Wolf Ring he was wearing on his finger suddenly lost its glow.
In the next moment, a mysterious power that had always protected him vanished suddenly, and the pitch-black Abyss swiftly engulfed him, completely swallowing Starfire Knight's consciousness.
One could say this was relatively lucky for him, at least instant death is a better experience than beheading.
Feature five, the Wolf Ring provides temporary protection to the wearer, shielding them from the Abyss invasion.
The gains from this expedition of Starfire Knight are almost worth more than the entire team's haul. ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฃ๐ธ๐๐๐.๐๐๐
However, even with such high-value gains, he's still sitting quietly on the side with others as a dead fish.
The sun gradually set, stars hung above in the night, yet no one moved until dawn was breaking, when finally someone stirred, barely standing up.
"Um, we better get out of here..." Martin said with heavy bags under his eyes, "We really can't rest well here..."
No one expected him to be the first one to speak up. Even though he still seemed very tired, it was as if some powerful will was supporting him to stand up and walk out of the Dungeon.
Upon his words, people finally reacted. Many nodded in agreement with his request.
"Then let's head out..." Tusi wobbled like a zombie as he stood up, guiding everyone out of the Dungeon.
Immediately emerging from the area brought their strange appearances to the attention of nearby people, who soon called friends over to watch this spectacle. Some idle folks even began recording it.
"I must immediately use the Image Stone to record this amusing moment."
"Are they role-playing animated corpses? So dedicated."
"This will be the topic of our drinks tonight!"
The onlookers happily caused a ruckus.
Evidence shows that as long as settlements are built around underground city teleportation gates, residents would soon shift towards lively adventurers.
The unusual state of Tusi and the others immediately caught the attention of stationed physicians, these muscular angels over two meters tall knocked down the unresponsive and rebellious Tusi and his group with a punch each, taking them for hospital treatment.
A few days later.
"That's all we know for now."
Tusi, sitting on the hospital bed, told Fingerley who came to visit, he recounted all that he knew.
Prior to this, Fingerley had already thoroughly learned about the proceeds of the Little Londo Ruins exploration from other team members, leaving only Tusi's account unanswered.
"You guys did a great job this time, well done." Fingerley patted his shoulder affectionately.
He still cared a lot about this friend who had been following him from the Yanor Kingdom all the way here. It was rare for anyone, apart from Matilda and others, to persistently stick with him, especially after realizing that most of the things he did were extremely dangerous.
For the concern that Fingerley showed, Tusi felt that all the hardships and exhaustion were worth it, and the two exchanged appreciative looks.
"You two aren't planning anything stunning right in front of me, are you?" Luluwo said, crossing arms. "I can turn away."
"What are you thinking, this is brotherhood."
Fingerley immediately frowned at her, saying quite displeased.
Luluwo chuckled mischievously, leaning against the wall, "But indeed, I didn't expect your team to surpass ours in exploration progress."
"Is that a compliment?"
"No," Luluwo turned her head, "Call it my admiration."
Tusi immediately broke into a grin.
Fingerley shot Luluwo a "well-spoken" look, to which she merely waved her hand and said:
"I've figured out that so-called challenge method for the Four Kings of Little Londo just by listening to you along the way."
"You have found a way to beat them!?" Tusi exclaimed in surprise, nearly rolling off the bed.
"When did you hear me say I could defeat them..."
Luluwo exclaimed with black lines across her face, "Just that I found a method for you guys to challenge them normally, as for winning, it depends on our efforts, doesn't it? I'll go start drafting a plan, and once it's done, I'll bring it to you at the first opportunity. After all, I need to thank you for sharing the intelligence."
With that, she walked out of the hospital ward, leaving Fingerley and Tusi inside to continue on with their brotherhood displays.
"From the descriptions given by those people, it's evident that the Abyss possesses some kind of terrifying ability causing instant death, even generating a Magic Shield immediately doesn't prevent this."
"Would continuously using Levitation Skill and Flying Skill to avoid contact with the Abyss help in avoiding this damage? This idea needs testing, but the safest way is what the Starfire Knight whose name I forgot mentioned: the Wolf Ring, which has the ability to ward off the Abyss, but it seems temporary, once the time limit is reached, the ring cracks."
"The good news is that after a few days, the ring will repair its cracks by itself and be usable again. The bad news is...."
Luluwo sighed.
"The Wolf Ring is only found in the Painting World of Artorias, darn it."
It's clear that the currently accessible region doesn't include Fran Fort, nor does it allow access to Painting World featuring the "Wolf Knight," as for those holding Wolf Rings in hand... Well, not many.
Assembling a full-team of adventurers may prove difficult.
"We've got issues, need to find a way to get some Wolf Rings here, damn it, if only we could return to the Yanor Kingdom, this wouldn't even be an issue!"
Thinking of this made Luluwo almost start cursing.
The progress she was responsible for in the Sain Ancient City wasn't exactly looking up either; they had yet to reach the topmost level nor have they seen the final boss's form.
Originally, she planned to utilize the vast abilities of the rebel army and adventurers, using a massive human wave tactic to push through the Sain Ancient City, eventually someone lucky might reach the topmost even witness the final boss.
However, unexpected events disrupted her plan, which was the various Painting Worlds emerging in the Sain Dungeon entirely capturing adventurers' attention, diverting them from focusing on Sain Ancient Cityๆป็ฅ!
"Hello, are you interested in learning about the White Church?"
While walking on the road, someone approached for spreading religion, Luluwo glanced at them coldly.
"Scram."
What is going on with Scameroon's people!
Moreover, the rebel army also couldn't spare any manpower to assist her at the moment.
Because the Three Great Religions began launching major actions there.
