Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?
Chapter 1387 - 866: Homecoming! (2)
"I've never felt the air at Fran Fort is so refreshing," Tami said, spreading her arms and taking a deep breath.
Having passed through Fran Fort, which now seemed like a simple route, they finally reached the last battleground of their journey: Fire Transmission Ceremony.
This place was very similar to the Fire Transmission Ceremony over there at Scameroon, but without the large crow, the Discouragement Brother, or other residual shadows. The whole scene felt quiet and still.
Yet, it was this feeling of silence that gave Luluwo and the others their first impression of Sain Dungeon; every adventurer definitely started at the Fire Transmission Ceremony when first arriving here.
The Teleportation Gate to the outside lay right beside them.
The three simultaneously swallowed, with slightly trembling hands reaching towards the Teleportation Gate.
The familiar weightlessness of teleportation struck them, and they closed their eyes in the last second before being teleported.
As soon as the weightlessness disappeared, sunlight pierced their tightly closed eyelids, and noisy human voices flooded into their ears. These were the voices of vulgar adventurers loudly chatting and drinking, and some people were laughing for who knew what reason. The calls from vendors mixed in didn't even seem annoying.
Everything felt so familiar!
Even without opening their eyes, Luluwo and the others knew they were really back, back to Bed City.
She slowly opened her eyes, and reflected in her pupils was an advertisement sign depicting Count Philip holding a bunch of Sain-themed products.
[Bed Toys, Make Your Child Fall in Love with Sain]
"The count's advertising slogan is really awful..."
Luluwo, as usual, tossed out a sarcastic comment, yet her mouth still curved upwards, irresistibly, full of vitality like a spring breeze brushing her face.
And Tami beside her was even more direct, jumping three feet high and raising her arms, exclaiming, "Yay! We finally made it back!"
This excited shout even overshadowed the sound of the crowd, and everyone stopped what they were doing to look at them, some with impatient expressions:
"So noisy, weren't they just escaping from Sain Dungeon, what's there to shout about... Wait, is that Luluwo? It's Luluwo, isn't it! Big Sis is back!"
A bunch of adventurers with fierce looks like promising candidates for becoming Soul-sucking Ghosts quickly gathered around, and soon more people realized it and came over to join the excitement, surrounding the three in a tight circle.
"Is the captain of the Skyrim Strategy Group here? Are those two beside her also members? They've disappeared for so long, finally showing up again."
"Without the Skyrim Strategy Group's strategies I'll surely die."
"Big Sis, lead us on another invasion!"
"Miss Luluwo, could you tell us what you've been up to during these days you were gone? Were you planning some earth-shattering feats again?"
A flood of voices rushed in like a tide, leaving Luluwo and the others stunned, unsure whose question to answer first, thinking to themselves, are we really this famous?
In other places, the Skyrim Strategy Group might just have a bit of fame, but here in Bed City, they were indisputably stars.
"Alright, alright, everyone calm down, can't you see they all look exhausted?"
A spirited but elderly voice spread through the crowd, making people immediately calm down as if under the influence of a calming technique, spontaneously creating a path.
Ceder, the deputy head of the adventurer's guild Bed City branch, escorted by a secretary, approached Luluwo, unleashing an overwhelming barrage of healing magic effects on the three with a gesture, immediately invigorating them like they were on steroids, sweeping away their fatigue.
"Would you like to rest at the guild for a while?" Ceder said kindly, "The second floor has always been reserved for you."
Not long after, inside the adventurer's guild.
"Delicious, delicious, delicious..." x3
Luluwo, Tami, and Berto were hard at work, bent over the table and crazily stuffing their mouths with various delicacies from the gourmet region, seeming intent on stuffing every hole in their bodies with food.
Their way of devouring Happiness Eggs resembled taking super-strength drugs, their expressions of enjoyment almost scared the serving waiters.
Ceder waited until they were satisfied with their appetite before smiling and saying, "Couldn't get any good food over there?"
Tami nodded repeatedly; it couldn't be said that Scameroon had terribly bad food, but it couldn't compare to the gourmet region's off-the-chart delicacies.
"I almost feel sorry for you, having to fight at Scameroon for over a month, nearly two," Ceder sighed, "Returning almost at New Year's, it's been hard."
This sentence made Luluwo and the others feel an endless wave of heartache, almost bringing them to tears on the spot.
Just earlier, they had briefly recounted what happened at Scameroon, but there were still many uncertainties, for instance, not even Luluwo herself understood how she ended up at the Northern Undead Asylum after wandering around Yanor Londo, and then to Scameroon once she left.
"Right, we haven't informed Fingerley about things here yet!"
Luluwo suddenly looked up, remembering that the rebel army was probably waiting for them to return.
Clearing Sain Ancient City could unlock the ability to access other maps in Sain Dungeon, this critical information needed to be relayed to them quickly!
"Don't rush, it's still daytime, if you plan on revisiting the Dungeon, you'll have to wait until tomorrow,"
Ceder's words made Luluwo, who had stood up, sit back down. It was clear she was genuinely anxious, forgetting the Dungeon's rules.
"Hmm..."
Ceder, watching Luluwo slow down her eating pace due to the rebel army situation, spoke:
"You've unconsciously sided with those soldiers."
Luluwo looked up at him, naturally understanding what he meant.
Initially, when there seemed to be no way back, her cooperation with the rebel army was a necessary measure of desperation, but now that they could return, did she still need to work with the rebel army? Staying here would be safer.
Without hesitation, she sincerely nodded: "I need to return, it's about dignity, besides, you know the reason too, don't you, Mr. President."
Luluwo grew up with her grandmother for company, as her parents were taken by nobles and turned into slaves, never to return, a life of hardship she hasn't forgotten until today.
"When I heard that guy betrayed Yanor Kingdom and fled to Scameroon, I thought I'd never find him in this lifetime," Her face reflected in the red wine, "Now I have a chance, with the rebel army to attack Scameroon's capital, I can certainly drag that scoundrel out."
Hearing her determination, Tami and Berto looked up from their meals, slowing their actions.
Ceder nodded without much expression, "The guild has always been neutral, unable to provide you with help."
"I know that, I don't intend to drag the guild into this,"
Luluwo elegantly wiped her mouth with a napkin and smiled confidently, saying:
"But I can commission the guild to help me purchase some materials. There's no problem there, right? I'm going to issue a commission, a massive one."
Ceder showed a helpless expression, merely waving his hand without saying more.
With his approval, Luluwo's eyes were filled with renewed vigor. She could already envision herself returning triumphantly to Hepa Town with loads of supplies.
"By the way, I wonder what my acquaintances are up to, where's Leon?"
She suddenly got curious and casually asked.
Meanwhile.
"What's this place?"
Leon looked at the moss-covered iron bars in front of him, surveying the cell that had confined him, his face filled with baffled confusion as he said:
"Didn't I just finish fighting the Steel Giant Puppet? Where's this teleportation taken me?"
