Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?
Chapter 1411 - 878: Missionary Rivalry
The missionaries of the Holy Light Church, that's quite normal; you can find traces of these guys everywhere.
Missionaries of the New Holy Light Church, what is this? Has there been a literal split within the Holy Light Church? I hadn't heard of this before.
Missionaries of the Mad Fire God Sect....
"What the hell is that?"
Luluwo's eyelid twitched, suddenly recalling some unpleasant memories.
Anything associated with Mad Fire and Sick Village brought "unforgettable" memories to her and even the Skyrim Strategy Group, to the point where she now felt uneasy just seeing the words Mad Fire and used to feel unbearable even seeing ordinary flames.
Now, all of a sudden, there's a Mad Fire God Sect popping up; what kind of divine man would come up with such a thing?
Is it the Skamelon people who smuggled their way over here?
"I absolutely have to check this out."
Saying this, she immediately dashed toward the scene of the commotion, her speed rivaling when she fought the Boss Monster. Maru didn't notice and quickly lagged behind by a hundred meters.
"Hey, wait for me!"
A moment later, Luluwo was the first to reach the scene of the commotion, where a crowd had already gathered to watch the spectacle. Fights like this happened daily, but missionaries, who usually pride themselves on being avatars of order, brawling in the street—now, that's a rare sight.
Bear in mind that even back in Scameroon, the missionaries of the Holy Light Church never fought with those from other groups, so it stands to reason that they'd be even more conscious of their image in the Yanor Kingdom.
"Where's the security, where are the security guards?" someone questioned, wondering why those responsible for maintaining order hadn't come to stop this yet.
Luluwo glanced around and noticed that the security guards here had taken off their uniforms and joined the crowd of onlookers with amusement.
Yanor Kingdom, your sense of relaxation wins.
She looked in the direction of the chaotic sounds and finally spotted three missionaries entangled in combat.
It was a literal entanglement; the three of them were like three octopuses, tightly wrapped around one another, faces flushed, hair and clothes disheveled, neither willing to let go first.
The three had tangled together so much they almost looked like a Magician's Ball.
"What kind of conduct is this? So disgraceful..."
Even Luluwo couldn't help but speak such words upon witnessing the scene.
The one with the most expensive fabric and fairest skin was definitely from the Holy Light Church. Just by the air about them, it was clear they were church-educated, naturally possessing a sense of superiority over other missionaries.
And this same sense of superiority got him caught by the hair, pinched by the nose, and leg-locked by the other two missionaries, leaving him utterly impotent and fuming.
The other dressed in robes with patterns similar to those of the Holy Light Church missionaries was presumably from the so-called New Holy Light Church, notably a rarely seen female missionary.
She seemed to harbor immense hostility towards the Holy Light Church missionary, her entire fighting prowess directed mostly at him, leaving one strong leg to fiercely kick the other thin, small young missionary, likely from the Mad Fire God Sect.
This final missionary appeared outwardly ordinary, skinny as if he'd not had a good meal in ages, looking young enough to wonder if he was even of age, yet the power erupting from his body was far from weak.
"Let go of me, you heretic who follows the traitor Bright Light in betraying the church! The Holy Light God will burn you!" shouted the Holy Light missionary.
"What Holy Light God, I've told you before you have the name wrong; Light God is the original God's name, you're the heretic!" the New Holy Light believer retorted, choking the former nearly to the point of foaming at the mouth.
"Heretic!" "No, you're the heretic!" "It's you!"
The two sides bickering looked almost childishly sulky, and among the onlookers, some couldn't bear to watch any longer and turned to leave with a sigh, while some joyously pulled out Image Stones to capture this hopeful scene.
Even Luluwo couldn't help but cover her eyes, and at that moment, Maru arrived, saying, "Since when could you run so fast? We don't have that much of a level difference."
"Never mind that for now, do you know what's going on with the New Holy Light Church?" Luluwo asked Maru, knowing he'd been in the Yanor Kingdom longer these last two months and should know something.
"There's none of this in Scameroon?"
Maru asked back, seeing Luluwo shake her head, she curiously went, "Huh," before saying, "I thought they came over from Scameroon."
"By the way, do you remember the name Bright Light?" she said.
"Bright Light...yes, I do remember."
Luluwo recalled that the first time she encountered that name was during the Holy Light Church's Divine Giver showcase, where Bright Light was notably a skilled guardian, and ended up embarrassing himself during a live broadcast.
But that wasn't his most memorable thing; the most heart-stirring moment came when Bright Light later betrayed the Holy Light Church.
In a flamboyant act of rebellion against my God, he single-handedly defeated hidden experts within the Three Great Religions, even forming an independent organization opposing them, separate from the rebel army.
She wasn't familiar with what they called themselves, but within the rebel army, they were referred to as the guerrillas because these people almost never acted on the frontline and were more like bats dismantling the enemy under the cover of darkness.
