"Of course," Viora tilted her head and I opened the door.

First, I only let my head out of the room and sneaked a peek at both sides to see if there was anyone around.

Since it was a hospital, I thought every place would be crowded. But compared to other places, this area was kind of deserted.

There was rarely anyone going through this way because it was at the end of the hall.

After looking around, I led Viora toward the exit. Soon, we reached the place where there were a few people sitting at every corner.

"Act natural," I said.

"How do blind people act natural?" Viora replied and pouted.

"Oh, right. Sorry."

We continued walking through the small group of people in the hall until we were able to see the exit. However, before we could reach it, a maid came from the left and when she saw me, she recognized me immediately.

"Mr. Woo Jin?"

I was startled and immediately hid Viora behind me. This maid was the same one who attended to me and Viora. I can’t let the maid see her.

"Ah, hi. How are you?" I awkwardly asked while scratching the back of my neck. But she had already noticed that I was hiding someone behind me.

"Who is behind you, Mr. Woo Jin?" she asked, leaning in closer to take a look. "Why does it look like a patient?" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Looks like she has noticed it. Now we have no choice but to use our last resort.

"Viora, the exit is just a few steps away. Do you think you can run?" I whispered, and Viora nodded.

"I can."

"What are you whispering?" The maid took another step forward.

"Run!"

However, as soon as I got my answer, we ran toward the exit without looking back.

I heard the maid calling behind us, but we didn’t stop until we were out of the hospital.

"Huff... Huff..."

Both of us were panting heavily. My hands were on my knees, but Viora was standing straight. She was breathing heavily too, but not as intensely as me.

After catching our breath in the next few seconds, Viora began to chuckle slightly.

"Hehehe..."

My head turned toward her and I noticed that it wasn’t just chuckling. Rather, she looked genuinely amused and happy.

Witnessing her so joyful, I completely lost it too. Alongside her, I also began to laugh.

For some time, we both laughed like crazy. Now that we were outside the hospital’s main gate, no one was chasing us.

The passersby looked at us like we were crazy, but I completely ignored them.

"That... that was fun."

Viora let out between her laughs.

Yeah, it was fun and nerve-racking. My heart is still racing from all the adrenaline.

Soon, our laughter died down and we focused on our surroundings.

"So this is what morning air feels like," Viora said as she grabbed the sleeve of my shirt.

The gentle morning sunlight fell across Viora’s face and was warming her pale skin little by little.

A soft breeze brushed past her neck, making a few loose strands of her hair sway lightly. In the distance, the faint sounds of traffic, footsteps, and the city slowly waking up filled the air around us.

For the first time in a long while, she was truly outside again.

"Yeah," I replied. "This is how morning is. Do you like it?"

I asked, and Viora closed her eyes and lowered her head. For some time, she stayed like that as if she was listening to everything around her.

Then suddenly, she lifted her head and opened her eyes.

"I love it!" she exclaimed.

"Then shall we go and get the ice cream?" I said, and while grabbing her hand, we began walking. "I am sure you will like it even more."

"Yes, I can’t wait."

We spent half an hour just looking for a place where we could get ice cream.

This world’s layout was the same as the real world, but some things weren’t the same. So, it took me quite some time to find it.

It was a small cone ice cream stand in the middle of a park where a lot of people were sitting and children were playing games.

"There is one. Let’s go there."

At my words, Viora nodded and we went to that stand. In front of it, only couples were standing. No woman or man was alone there.

’Looks like it is a couple ice cream stand.’

Reaching there, we stood in line. Before us were four more couples waiting for their turn.

After they got their share, it was our turn now.

"Viora, which flavor do you want?"

"Flavor?" Viora seemed confused by my words.

I think she hasn’t thought about what she was getting, so I will just get strawberry flavor.

"Will strawberry do?" I asked, and she shook her head.

"I will get whatever you are getting."

Viora said, and I stared at her until the vendor told us to be quick. "Be quick. Cute couple."

"C-cute couple." Viora repeated after him and began to fidget her fingers.

"So, what should I give you. There is a couple discount going on. So you can get whatever you want." The vendor continued.

"Ah, we will get two vanilla-chocolate cones."

I said and the vendor gave us two cones, and after paying from the wallet which I found in the drawer of a table placed in my room, we went to sit on a bench.

"Should I help you?" I asked.

"No. I want to eat it by myself," Viora said, and I gave her one of the cones.

She didn’t wait for a moment and brought it closer to her mouth. However, as she took a bite, some of the cream got on her nose.

"So cold." Immediately, she took another bite without stopping. The cream on her nose and her reaction made my heart sink.

’I can’t take it. She is too cute.’

I should focus on my ice cream, otherwise I will die from her cuteness.

Bringing up my ice cream, I also tasted it. I couldn’t believe how cold it was. I had never eaten any ice cream this cold and tasty in my past life.

Now, I understand Viora’s reaction because just like her, I too couldn’t stop myself. I kept eating, and when we had finished half of it, a screen appeared in front of me.
