Being Op With My Broken System: All Limits Have Errors - Chapter 300: Alex’s formation
CH 300
All of the formations that were created until now were all grade 2 formations and the fastest was still the boy with under forty seconds creation time, that was until Eric came up to create his formation.
It took Eric only twenty seconds to complete drawing all the runes and symbols for his formation. He then took out a grade 2 mana core and placed it in the centre of his formation.
After doing this, Eric stepped away from the formation and said the activating command.
"Wait,"
In response to its creator’s order, the formation darkened and gradually disappeared. Leaving behind just the mana core on the field.
This made the other students stare in confusion, wondering if Eric would be the first person whose formation would fail, but Alex and the instructor saw it differently.
Eric’s formation didn’t fail, it just became invisible.
’So this was the trapping formation that he was talking about.’ Alex thought, slightly amazed.
Eric didn’t just create a formation but also a bait to make sure his target would get caught.
With the rest of the formation invisible and only the mana core left out, be it a magic beast or a human, they would assume that someone had misplaced the mana core and that it was just lying around carelessly.
Despite knowing this, instructor Henry walked toward the mana core under the confused stares of the other students.
Mind you, Eric’s formation had a radius of five meters. So immediately instructor Henry stepped into the range of the formation, it activated.
Wooosh!!
With a rush of mana, dark translucent walls suddenly rise from the ground and surround instructor Henry on all four sides. The top was also sealed off to make sure that whatever was caught in it could not escape.
The sudden appearance of these dark walls shocked the students. They could still see the instructor but the black walls looked solid.
"Wonderful," instructor Henry exclaimed softly with a big smile as he stared at the dark walls.
He approached the one on his left and tapped it with his finger a few times.
Thud! Thud!
It sounded just like hitting a solid wall. Instructor Henry even threw a punch at it.
Bang!
The dark walls trembled but didn’t collapse from the punch. This made the instructor nod in contentment, he had controlled his punch to match the strength of a Core rank mage.
This meant that the dark walls could take the attacks of a Core rank mage and not shatter, it could also trap a common rank magic beast without it being able to break out.
"Very good," instructor Henry praised again before landing a hard punch on the dark wall and finally destroying it.
From the instructor’s reaction, the rest of the students knew how impressive Eric’s formation was. They all stared at him with amazement as he returned to the group.
A few other students came up after Eric and after another fifteen minutes, it was finally Alex’s turn.
"Good luck," Eric whispered as Alex walked forward.
All eyes immediately landed on him, instructor Henry was also staring at Alex with interest.
It went without saying that all of the instructors in charge of teaching first-year students had a favourable impression of Alex. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
He was always at the top of all his classes in the university. Instructor Henry looked forward to seeing what formation Alex would make; the students also felt the same way, and they wanted to see what type of formation Alex would make.
Alex was also thinking about this as he walked to the front of the field, which formation should he make?
Too lazy to think of something complex, Alex decided to keep it simple. He didn’t want to waste time thinking since speed would also be used in scoring them.
He stretched out two fingers from which mana flowed out from and started to draw on the ground. Soon, Alex was drawing runes and symbols that most of the students couldn’t recognise.
They had seen it before, but just couldn’t remember what they meant because of his complex and how similar they looked to other symbols; they weren’t sure which one Alex was using.
Only instructor Henry was able to keep up with Alex’s work, his eyes slowly widened as Alex neared the end of his formation.
By the time Alex was done, instructor Henry’s mouth was opened slightly as he stared at Alex’s formation in disbelief.
Alex and the other students noticed this. While the students were confused as to why the instructor was reacting like that, Alex went ahead to finish his formation.
A grade 4 mana core appeared in his hand, startling the students. After all, the highest formation that anyone had created until now was only a grade 2 formation.
Alex taking out a grade 4 mana core meant that his formation was a grade 4 formation! No wonder they couldn’t recognise some of the symbols he had used.
It was just too shocking, he was a first-year student like them after all.
Alex calmly placed the mana core in the centre of his formation, and the formation released a strange golden light that forced everyone to squint their eyes for a few seconds before the light of the formation reduced.
After properly regaining their sight, they saw Alex standing inside a large golden barrier that was ten meters wide and almost as tall as a building.
The formation was just so spectacular that those inside the lecture building could see it!
It took a few seconds for Henry to recover from his shock, he stared at Alex’s barrier, unable to believe that a student had created this. After some seconds, instructor Henry’s voice rang out.
"Students, step back some more."
The students were shocked by the instructor’s order but still listened and quickly moved away. While retreating, Eric stared at Alex inside the golden barrier and smirked.
’Right, you don’t know what to make; like I’ll believe those words again.’ he thought to himself.
After sending the students away, instructor Henry made the file in his hand disappear as his eyes turned brown. Mana rose from his body and caused his robe to flutter, brown stars appeared in the air around him rapidly and started connecting.
Witnessing this scene, the students were shocked.
"A-an Archmage rank spell!" A student stuttered in shock as they witnessed instructor Henry creating four large star constellations of the earth element.
Sensing the disturbance, several figures appeared on the assessment ground. They were all instructors and Ellie was among them.
They saw star constellations above instructor Henry and wanted to ask what was going on but immediately shut up when they saw the golden barrier around Alex.
Their eyes almost popped out in shock.
"Hey, did Alex create that?" An instructor asked one of the students and the other party nodded wordlessly.
"Haha, seems like Henry just found a genius, I bet he’ll want to make him his student after this." Another instructor laughed.
They didn’t interfere and just watched.
Alex noticed Ellie among the new arrivals and smiled slightly at her before returning his gaze to instruct Henry.
Ellie smiled helplessly, this guy just liked causing a scene.
Was he allergic to being casual?!
