... In fact, he was not cheating just now.

During these days, his progress in fusing artificial souls has increased a lot.

These artificial souls, bound by his Reiatsu, can unfold into an invisible sphere.

In this sphere, he can clearly perceive any "foreign objects" that do not belong to him.

To put it in a fantasy way, it's like a domain that he owns exclusively.

A realm made of soul matter, everything under his control.

Just now, when Yeyi changed Broken ...

*Ding* [Creature-link successful! You have created a new creature!]

Lyrian Theageld's life was nothing short of a nightmare. He had been a slave and a victim of

constant abuse before he finally died. But instead of finding peace, he was reincarnated into a fantasy world where he was given a second chance to discover his identity and find his place in the world.

Determined to never be a victim again, Lyrian became obsessed with gaining power. He knew that the only way to achieve his goal of never being at the mercy of others was to become powerful enough to rule the world. With his unique ability to create new things from the old, Lyrian was able to merge skills, beings, and magic elements to create something entirely new, which helped him grow in power.

Lyrian's past experiences made him determined to never be a victim again, and his search for identity and power are inextricably linked. Thus, he embarks on a grand journey of power, and a sense of self where he gains companions with goals no less impressive than his, battles powerful foes that are worthy of being called monsters and eventually even takes over vast empires.

Will his resolve throughout this legendary adventure allow him to find what he’s been searching for all along, standing atop the countless heads of his enemies, or will he forever be lost in his pursuit of power? Only time will tell.

-----

Lyrian will not be your typical mc, so do not expect for him to be a cold and selfish lone wolf, nor a righteous hero. Throughout the story he will be trying to find himself, and so do not judge him harshly for any of his actions either, as he could change in a heart beat (;

-----

Also, the first two chapters (can be considered prologue) when the mc hasn't died yet are quite dark, but the story takes quite a turn when he is reincarnated. Not into something that's bright and jolly by any means, just something that you could call a normal amount of darkness and lightness, that's of course ever changing as well.

-----

There will be no harem whatsoever in this novel, and when it comes to romance, it will be scarce, if not completely invisible until 500+ chapters.

PS: There will be a point in time where the mc personality will completly change in a certain way. It is recommended by the author to read until that moment.

“So, Diana, what's your excuse for betraying me?”

His amber glinted eyes bore into the woman with bloodied, broken blue hair, kneeling in complete disarray.

“... you're evil.”

“Oh, so, looking out for all of you makes me evil?”

The man narrowed his eyes, contemplating the echoes of protagonist halos and heroines' mentality, starkly real now.

Coming from a world far removed from such grim reality, he had read about these personalities in novels, but experiencing their shortcomings firsthand was a different story.

“How am I evil?”

He looked down at his foot where a young man, limbless and crushed, lay in a state of complete brokenness, mustering the little strength he had left to utter some words.

“... y.. you ba..stard, You killed millions.”

Hearing these words, the man's internal amusement grew at the absurdity of these hypocritical people.

He had eradicated all the evil organizations within the Empire after ascending to his throne.

Wars were waged to crush rebellious kingdoms that stood against his Empire, uniting the entire Heidal Continent under one flag—the Selvius Empire.

He shifted his gaze towards another woman with pink hair, her body completely broken, supported by a rock to maintain a semblance of balance amidst the devastation.

“Hmm, so what about you, Karina? Wasn't your family about to be executed by the Aidiac Royal family? Is it wrong for me to have intervened?”

“You killed them without mercy, and although you saved my family, it was not worth it.”

“I just saved—”

“It's bullshit. You could have solved everything peacefully without drawing so much blood.”

Hearing all this, the man began to understand why those novels depicted these people as hypocritical and low in intelligence.

If he hadn't saved them, they would have suffered the most gruesome fate.

Yet, despite being saved, these ungrateful individuals chose to blame him. The bitter irony of their ingratitude gnawed at him, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth.

“Guess you all have the same reasons.”

The man looked towards the seven people, their disdainful gazes directed at him.

He had only aimed to change their fates, to rescue some from slavery, others from crippling circumstances, and a few from inevitable betrayal.

Yet, they all blamed him for saving them, unable to comprehend that he had severed the root causes that would have subjected them to excruciating suffering.

“Hahaha.”

“Indeed, now I see.”

He now understood what those novels had tried to convey—'these idiots think this whole world works like they think it would.'
