Yama Rising - Chapter 1000: Conclusion

A full dive VR game has been released, A New World. While it is not the only VR game in the world, this one has one advantage over others:

Being able to play it even while sleeping.

Like one would think, many people jumped to try and claim the first headsets. Mostly gamers, but some other types of people too. Our MC, Eldrian, is naturally a gamer who could not wait but to try it.

Quickly he and everyone else who bought the headsets found themselves in a world, not just a game. While realism is nice and all, the amount they were given was just too much...

Players started taking emotional tolls from playing the game, and when the company made a shocking announcement. This was amplified.

I started this(July2020) just about a year ago now(June2021) as a newbie writer, and am proud with what it has become.

I will warn people that the game and real-world is truly integrated, as well that the story is slow.

Things don't magically happen for the sake of the story, I always try to figure out what would happen if this was reality. (Though I might fail sometimes in achieving this.)

I also try to be interactive with my readers, maybe too much... So do comment, I read all the chapter comments and most of the paragraph ones.

The nuclear holocaust which caused the collapse of the Old Times on Earth should have wiped out all human life on the planet. Yes, the gods set up their beautiful Elysiums to provide sanctuaries for their chosen, but by all rights everyone outside the elysian lands should’ve perished long ago. Yet somehow, human life still managed to persist, even in the deadly, mutant-infested wastelands.

Cloudhawk was a young scavenger who dreamed of being as free as the hawks in the skies, yet seemed destined to live out his life scrounging for scraps in the wasteland ruins. Fate, however, is ever-fickle. A chance meeting with a ragtag group of mercenaries changed the trajectory of his life, bringing him into a world with mutants and metahumans, demonhunters and godslayers, and even gods and demons. Cloudhawk would find his own place in a world that was far greater than he had imagined, find his own path between the zealous light of Sumeru and the whispering darkness of the Abyss… and one day, he would find that even gods may fall.

In an empty classroom, a group of youths in battle fatigues surround a gasping girl as they hurl insults at her. A hand viciously grabbs her long hair, yanking it back to reveal a bloodied face.

What is going on? Why am I here, surrounded by…students… when I’m supposed to be Yan Kingdom’s strongest lone warrior!

Ye Yunxi furrows her brow briefly as the pain forces her eyes to snap open. Now, she resembles angry red spider lilies blooming with a vengeance.

Ye Yunxi, successor to the Ye clan, is considered a piece of tr*sh, a disgrace to the clan. The bullying she’s suffering now is by no means Ye Wanting’s first attempt to oust her, to gain the position of the Ye clan successor for herself.

Only, now, it is more than Ye Yunxi in this shell of a third year middle school student…
