Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 243 - 242. This is not over, Outcast!
"Who are you?" Crysta asked. She didn’t know who the witch before her was but she seemed very familiar with who she was.
"I will take care of her, you can deal with him..." She stopped when she got a better look at the man on the ground leaning against the tree as he waited for the huge cut on his back to heal. "Former Alpha Norman of Desert pack," she said with a raised brow.
"You know him?" Azrail asked, not liking the idea of her knowing someone he wanted to kill. If she liked him, then he had another reason to kill.
"Nope. I have only seen his photo and heard his name, this is my first time seeing him," she replied with a shrug of the shoulders. Azrail nodded, relieved that she did not care for the werewolf lying before them.
"That is good to hear," he said.
"How dare you ignore me?" Crysta yelled through gritted teeth. The watch before her was young but she knew she could not underestimate her.
"Oh. You are still here?" Lucinda asked turning away from Norman and looking at Crysta who wanted attention.
"Why are you helping the vampires? You are not one of Cillia’s underlings," she said in annoyance. The witch before her seemed to do whatever she liked so why would she help the vampires when she could do anything? The vampires were never at peace with the witches.
"You/must be a fool to not see the need to help each other when we are all on the list of beings to be sent into extinction," Lucinda was walking away from Azrail towards Crysta. "You may not know me but I believe you have heard of me. I am Lucinda, one of the twin witch outcasts,"
Crysta’s eyes widened when she heard that. No witch didn’t know of the two children who were abandoned at a tender age. One was sick and was thought to die anytime soon but as it turned out, they have both survived and now they can even stand to rival her in power.
"Don’t look so surprised, I am aware of who he is too and I would like to kill him as well. You, I have long been looking for you though not as much as my sister for working with that human and telling about the supreme pack in the past." Lucinda stopped right. Front of her while she seemed to be distracted by the fact that the children that no one thought much of would turn out this way.
Had she known better she would have taken them under her wing back then and she wouldn’t be standing here with one of them wanting to kill her while also speaking of how much her sister wanted her dead as well.
Azrail did not wait to heat the rest and walked towards the tree where Norman lay. His wounds were healed and he would soon be back on his feet and from the look of it, he was ready to shift and lunge an attack on him at any moment.
Norman stood up angered by the fact that he was wounded so easily. No matter what, he used to be an Alpha and his pride could not take such humiliation. His pride as a shifter wouldn’t let him sit still even if his hands were bound to the tree on which he rested. He didn’t know who the vampire was before him, but his strength was greatly underestimated.
Now that he knows better, he knows how to handle him. How best residue attacks from and how to launch one on him and make him lose his ground. "I have never seen you around here before, who are..." He trailed off seeing the vampire standing where he stood with his hand almost gripping his neck.
He stepped back, instinctively avoiding the hand, and muttered some curses under his breath. He stared at the vampire who had once again surprised him, this time by his speed. He was not a human to not have seen it coming so why was it so hard to see him coming?
"Safe your breath, I don’t talk while in a fight," Azrail said. He took a step forward but stopped when he heard an explosion behind him. Even Norman had to look to know what was going on.
Behind them were Lucinda and Crysta who had drifted a bit further away from them. The forest floor was illuminated by the fire that burned around them putting them in a circle. It was slowly making its way to the trees as it started climbing its barks.
Norman looked worried while a smile crept on the lips of Azrail. He knew she was powerful despite how young she was compared to Crysta.
Without warning, Norman dashed forward shifting mid-air, and lunged at Azrail who was quick to dodge but they created an opening for the beast of Norman to escape him and headed where the two witches were fighting.
Azrail was quick to follow, not wanting Lucinda to have to defend herself against an Alpha wolf and an Elder witch. It was his fault that Norman escaped from him.
Norman came to stand between Lucinda and Crystal and found them both breathing heavily but none seemed tired but it was time they left. But now it was obvious that even if Sebastian was in there, he wouldn’t show up with the witch and vampire present to ruin whatever plan they had.
Azrail came to stand beside Lucinda and inspired her to see if there were wounds on her body but thankfully, there were none. He returned his attention to the witch and beast in front of them and found them glaring at Lucinda. Crysta held her left arm which was slightly but the fire in her eyes did not diminish.
"This is not over, Outcast!" she said to Lucinda but to her surprise, she saw Lucinda smile before she disappeared.
"I am fine," she said, feeling Azrail’s gaze lingering on her body. She could feel him scanning every inch of her to see if there was any even though there was no scent of blood in the air.
Azrail nodded, not asking about it again, though he wanted to, just to be sure. "Why did you return ?" he asked instead.
