Chapter 259: Chapter 259: Research Team

The atmosphere grew tense again.

Jasper Shaw’s eyes darkened, his gaze on Ian Winters sharp enough to kill.

Finally, Jasper Shaw said in a deep voice, "This had better be important."

Ian Winters, on the verge of tears, said tremblingly, "Boss, the workers downstairs are asking where to put the materials."

The materials Chloe Sinclair had asked Jasper Shaw to prepare were enough for a small maglev train; the sheer volume was immense.

The first batch alone had taken twelve full trucks to transport.

Hearing Ian Winters, Chloe Sinclair smacked her forehead in frustration.

"I forgot there’s no more room for the materials in the lab."

Jasper Shaw glanced down at the girl and said dryly, "The land outside the lab is all mine. If you need it, I’ll have someone build a warehouse for you."

Chloe Sinclair’s eyes lit up. "That would be perfect."

After a pause, she looked up and asked, "How much land is it, exactly?"

Throughout her time in university, she would need a massive laboratory and warehouse to support her experiments.

It was a huge help that Jasper Shaw had land available.

But she had no idea just how much land he was talking about.

Sensing his cue, Ian Winters, who had been standing to the side, pushed up his glasses. "Miss Sinclair, this entire district where the lab is, as well as the residential villa area three kilometers away, all belong to the boss."

Now that he mentioned it, Chloe Sinclair did have some recollection.

Ever since she found out about the villa district near the university, she had started paying attention to the local architecture.

She had noticed the villas near the lab were quite different from the ones near her own apartment and figured they must have different developers.

However, she never would have imagined that this entire area actually belonged to Jasper Shaw.

’In her previous life, she knew, people went crazy trying to buy property in these two districts.’

’No wonder Jasper was able to rise from the ashes in her past life, even when he was backed into a corner.’

A thousand thoughts raced through Chloe Sinclair’s mind, but she let none of it show on her face.

"I’ll have someone start building the warehouse for you as soon as I get back. If you need anything else, contact Ian Winters."

As soon as Jasper Shaw spoke, the atmosphere instantly changed.

Chloe Sinclair nodded hastily, looking very obedient.

Since Chloe Sinclair had to get to work, Jasper Shaw left after a short while.

After Jasper Shaw and his group left, Chloe Sinclair, wearing a white lab coat, walked out the main door of the research lab.

She walked to the empty lot outside, and a headache started to form as she looked at the sheets of metal covering the ground.

The metal sheets in front of her added up to over a hundred tons; there was no way she could organize it all by herself.

It was then she suddenly realized she definitely couldn’t do all this alone.

Her gaze shifted, just in time to see Sutton coming out with a teacup.

"Sutton."

Chloe Sinclair offered a slight smile.

Hearing his name, Sutton turned his head and met Chloe Sinclair’s faint smile.

"Wh-what is it?" Sutton asked, a little nervous.

When he saw that smile, he couldn’t help but recall the image from a few days ago of the thugs being beaten to a pulp, unable to even care for themselves.

Chloe Sinclair didn’t speak, merely glancing at the teacup Sutton was holding.

A faint, fresh aroma of Wyvernspring tea wafted through the air.

"Gather everyone," Chloe Sinclair said. "I have something I need your help with."

As soon as he heard this, Sutton scrambled back to gather his guys.

Since Chloe Sinclair was asking for help, she had no intention of making them work for free.

She knew moving the materials was exhausting work, so halfway through, she slipped out for a while and returned with a number of things.

The bodyguards who had been called over to do manual labor were initially a little disgruntled, but when they saw what Chloe Sinclair had brought for them, their annoyance instantly vanished.

"Miss Sinclair, th-this is too extravagant."
