I Regressed With a 10,000x God-Tier Multiplier
Chapter 135: The Counter Crusade
The main courtyard of Zephyria was a massive staging ground of black stone.
The iridescent pearl-like dome of the planetary shield hummed softly high above. It kept the howling winds of the stratosphere and the swarming Abyssal monsters completely at bay.
Lucifer stood on the steps of the central keep.
Spread out before him were the five thousand Aether-Steel Dragoons. The massive black-metal centaurs hovered three inches off the ground with their blue thrusters idling.
They were flawless tireless machines of war, but their design was limited. They were built to hover over physical terrain.
"They are perfectly functional, Warlord," Dwarf King Thrain noted and leaned on his heavy hammer beside Lucifer.
The dwarf wiped a smudge of soot from his nose. "The aether-cannons can punch through standard Abyssal chitin, and the Star-Metal lances conduct lightning beautifully.
Why risk overloading their cores with foreign demonic magic?"
"Because perfectly functional doesn’t win a planar war," Lucifer stated smoothly.
He did not look at the dwarf. He kept his void-swirling eyes focused on the endless ranks of machines.
"The Abyssal Rift isn’t a battlefield with gravity and breathable air," Lucifer explained. "It is a localized vacuum of pure destruction.
If I send these Dragoons through the tear to fight the Demon King’s true army, their thrusters will stall, and they will be ripped apart by the spatial pressure."
Lucifer raised his left hand.
He held the three massive glowing purple spatial cores he had ripped from the dead Doom-Bringers in the Royal Vault.
The Mythic-tier demonic hearts pulsed with terrifying heavy Void magic.
"They need to survive the dark," Lucifer said.
He did not walk down into the courtyard to upgrade the machines individually. He stood on the top step and held the three glowing purple cores out in front of him.
"System," Lucifer commanded with his voice a low echoing rumble of pure authority. "Target: Aether-Steel Dragoons. Quantity: 5,000."
[Target Locked: Aether-Steel Dragoons (Tier 2 - Heavy Cavalry)]
"Initiate Mass Evolution Protocol," Lucifer ordered. "Catalyst: Doom-Bringer Spatial Cores."
[System Warning: Invalid Catalyst Detected.]
[Error: Integrating Abyssal magic into standard Aether-cores will result in catastrophic mechanical failure. 100% destruction probability.]
"Override," Lucifer said coldly.
He channeled his Archmage-level Void Arcanist mana directly into the three pulsing demonic hearts. He did not just push magic into them.
He forced the dark matter of the cores to synchronize with his own and suppressed their chaotic nature!
"Apply the Apex Multiplier," Lucifer roared.
[Divine Talent: Apex Multiplier Activated!]
[Applying 10,000x multiplier to Catalyst Integration and Core Stability...]
[Bypassing Safety Protocols.]
The three glowing purple cores in his hand liquefied!
They did not drip onto the stone stairs. The intense multiplied magic exploded outward in a massive blinding flash of pitch-black and vibrant purple light.
The shockwave washed over the entire courtyard and completely engulfed the five thousand hovering machines.
The sound was horrifying. It was the screech of tearing metal mixed with the guttural roar of Abyssal beasts.
Thrain covered his ears and dropped to his knees. The mortal soldiers watching from the upper tiers of the city gasped and shielded their eyes from the blinding dark energy.
The violet light held for exactly ten seconds.
Then, it snapped back and was absorbed entirely by the machines.
The courtyard fell dead silent.
Lucifer lowered his hand. The empty demonic cores were gone.
He looked down at his new cavalry.
The Aether-Steel Dragoons were transformed!
Their smooth black-metal armor was no longer sleek. It had shifted and thickened into jagged heavy plates of dark matter and Star-Metal.
The glowing blue visors on their faceless helms now burned with a fierce unstable purple fire! The aether-cannons mounted on their shoulders were significantly larger and ringed with glowing Abyssal runes.
But the most massive change was their mobility.
They no longer hovered three inches off the ground on blue thrusters.
The mechanical centaurs stood firmly on four heavy jagged hooves forged of pure dark matter! And sprouting from their broad armored backs were pairs of massive mechanical wings made of articulated Star-Metal and glowing purple energy shields.
[System: Mass Evolution Complete.]
[New Unit: Void-Breaker Dragoons (Tier 4 - Mythic Cavalry)]
[Quantity: 5,000]
[Traits: Spatial Flight (Capable of independent movement in zero-gravity vacuums). Anti-Demon Munitions (Attacks inflict bonus True Damage against Abyssal entities).]
Elara walked out of the central keep with her Twilight wings folded neatly against her back. The Eclipse Valkyrie looked at the massive winged mechanical beasts filling the courtyard.
Her golden eyes widened slightly in sheer profound respect.
"You gave them wings," Elara breathed. She ran her gauntleted hand along the jagged dark matter armor of the nearest Void-Breaker.
The machine did not flinch. "They are not just heavy cavalry anymore. They are dreadnoughts."
"They are breach units," Lucifer corrected smoothly.
He walked down the stone stairs and his heavy iron boots clicked loudly. He moved through the center of the formation.
The massive twenty-foot-tall winged machines parted effortlessly to let their Warlord pass with their purple visors tracking his movement with absolute loyalty.
"The Abyssal Rift is currently flooding our stratosphere with low-level swarms," Lucifer explained and gestured toward the iridescent dome above them.
Outside the shield, millions of Gargoyles were still throwing themselves mindlessly against the barrier. "But Malphas will not keep sending fodder forever. Eventually, he will try to rip the sky open completely and bring his true army through."
Lucifer stopped in the center of the courtyard. He looked at Elara, Lyra, and Celeste, who had gathered around him.
"I am not going to wait for him to open the door," Lucifer stated coldly. "We are going to fly this entire city directly up to the rift.
We are going to blow the eye wide open, send the Void-Breakers through, and slaughter his Vanguard inside their own dimension."
"A counter-invasion," Celeste noted with a fierce predatory grin touching the scarred mercenary’s face. "The King hid behind his walls. The Warlord attacks hell."
"To strike the rift accurately, we need to know what is holding it open," Sarah said and stepped out of the keep.
The Star-Touched Oracle walked down the stairs with her white dress flowing smoothly. She held her Scepter of Cosmic Alignment tightly. Her starlight aura pulsed with a nervous intense rhythm.
"The Abyssal Sovereign’s eye is massive," Sarah explained and looked up at the sky through the dome. "But it is a projection. The physical tear in reality is being artificially sustained from the inside. There is an anchor point. A weakness."
"Can you find it?" Lucifer asked with his void-swirling eyes locking onto hers.
Sarah swallowed hard. The cosmic swirling in her irises accelerated rapidly.
"I can," Sarah whispered. "But the Spire’s amplification is not enough to pierce the direct gaze of a Primordial entity.
To find the anchor... I have to look directly into the Abyss. I have to connect my mind to the center of the rift."
Elara stepped forward immediately with her expression hardening. "No. The Abyssal corruption will shatter your mind instantly. You are an Oracle, not a tank. You cannot absorb that level of psychic trauma."
"I have to," Sarah insisted with her voice trembling slightly but laced with absolute resolve. She looked at Lucifer. "If we fire blindly into the rift, we will waste our artillery. We need a coordinate."
Lucifer did not argue with Elara. He did not order Sarah to stop.
He walked up to the Oracle.
He reached out and placed his heavy iron-clad left hand gently on her shoulder. The raw terrifying density of his Void Arcanist core pushed against her starlight aura. He did not crush it, but he grounded it.
"You will not shatter," Lucifer promised smoothly. His voice was a low resonant rumble of absolute certainty. "I will anchor you."
Sarah looked up at him. She saw the swirling voids in his eyes. She felt the impossible crushing weight of the God-Slayer title radiating from his chest. He was offering to share the psychic burden of looking into hell!
She did not hesitate.
"I am ready," Sarah said.
She did not walk to the Spire. She stood in the center of the courtyard and was surrounded by the towering Void-Breaker Dragoons.
Sarah closed her eyes.
She raised the Scepter of Cosmic Alignment high above her head with both hands. The massive violet crystal at the tip flared with blinding pure silver starlight!
She pushed her Oracle sight upward. She bypassed the safety of the iridescent planetary shield. She bypassed the swirling clouds of the stratosphere. She aimed her mind directly at the colossal burning purple pupil of the Abyssal Sovereign!
The moment her consciousness touched the rift, the backlash was catastrophic!
Sarah gasped with a horrific strangled sound! Her back arched violently.
The sheer incomprehensible scale of the Abyssal horror hit her mind like a physical sledgehammer! It was not just darkness; it was millions of screaming tortured souls, endless oceans of corrosive magma, and the crushing absolute malice of a primordial god.
Blood instantly poured from Sarah’s nose. Her pale skin turned a terrifying shade of gray. The starlight radiating from her hair flickered wildly and threatened to snuff out completely!
"Lucifer!" Elara shouted and raised her spear, ready to forcefully break the connection.
"Hold!" Lucifer roared.
He did not let go of Sarah’s shoulder. He stepped closer and wrapped his right arm tightly around her waist. He pulled her flush against his dark leather armor!
He did not try to heal her. He did not use a shield spell.
Lucifer used his Void Arcanist core to become a lightning rod for the psychic trauma!
He opened his own mind to the connection. He drew the overwhelming corrosive Abyssal terror flowing into Sarah directly into himself!
The Warlord absorbed the madness!
The visions of burning worlds and screaming demons slammed into Lucifer’s brain. But he was a Regressor.
He had already lived through the end of the world. He had already died in the ash. The horrors of the Abyss were not new to him; they were just memories!
His infinitely dense pitch-black Void core effortlessly consumed the psychic pressure and crushed the madness into nothingness before it could break the Oracle’s fragile mind.
Sarah let out a long shuddering breath. The violent trembling stopped.
Protected by Lucifer’s absolute mental density, her Oracle sight pushed deeper into the rift. She bypassed the roaring flames and the swirling dark matter. She looked for the structural flaw.
"I see it," Sarah whispered with her voice weak but perfectly clear. Tears of blood and liquid starlight streamed down her face and soaked into Lucifer’s dark tunic.
"Give me the coordinate," Lucifer commanded softly and held her tight.
"It is a Keystone," Sarah reported. "A massive crystal of pure Chaos. It is embedded directly behind the pupil of the eye, acting as a physical wedge holding the spatial tear open from the inside."
She opened her eyes. The cosmic swirling in her irises was frantic, but the blinding silver light had returned, steady and triumphant.
She looked up at Lucifer and offered a weak beautiful smile. She had done it. She had looked into the abyss and survived. She proved her absolute worth to the Warlord!
"If you shatter the Keystone," Sarah whispered, "the rift will collapse on itself."
Lucifer smiled. It was a cold predatory smirk.
He gently released her and allowed Elara to step forward and support the exhausted Oracle.
"You did perfectly," Lucifer said smoothly.
He turned away from them. He looked up at the massive burning purple eye in the sky. He had the target. He had the weapon.
"Celeste," Lucifer roared over the comms rune. "Lock the city down. Brace for extreme vertical acceleration."
He did not wait for the confirmation. Lucifer activated Void Step and teleported instantly from the courtyard back to the grand hall of the central keep.
He sat down on the throne of dark matter. He placed his iron gauntlets firmly on the armrests and synced his core directly with the Void-Core Reactor’s navigation grid.
"We are not waiting for them to drop," Lucifer announced and his voice echoed across the entire floating city. "We are going to punch the eye out."
