I Regressed With a 10,000x God-Tier Multiplier
Chapter 136: The Orbital Strike Alignment.
The floating city of Zephyria hung silently at fifty thousand feet.
The iridescent pearl-like planetary shield pulsed steadily and perfectly repelled the endless chaotic swarms of Abyssal Gargoyles attempting to scratch the surface.
The sky above was dominated by the colossal burning purple eye of the Abyssal Sovereign!
Inside the central keep, Lucifer sat on the throne of dark matter.
He did not admire the view. His void-swirling eyes were locked onto a massive complex holographic interface projected in the air above the dais.
The interface displayed the real-time atmospheric topography of the stratosphere. It was heavily saturated with the chaotic bruised-purple magic bleeding from the dimensional tear!
"Sarah gave us the coordinates of the Keystone of Chaos," Lucifer stated smoothly. His voice echoed through the grand hall.
Elara, Lyra, and Vexia stood at the base of the dais. The three commanders watched the hologram shift.
A single blinking red target marker appeared precisely behind the massive pupil of the projected Abyssal eye!
"It is buried deep inside the rift," Lyra noted and her silver armor caught the blue light of the interface. The Dawn Saintess frowned.
"Even if we fly Zephyria directly under the eye, the Star-Shatter Cannon will not have a clear line of sight. The thick localized Void magic swirling inside the tear will scatter the beam before it hits the Keystone."
"The Saintess is correct, Warlord," Vexia added and her red bat wings shifted uneasily. "The structural density of the rift is absurd.
To punch a hole clean through that much Abyssal matter, you would need a localized artillery barrage the size of a city."
Lucifer leaned back in his throne. A cold predatory smirk touched his lips.
"I have an artillery barrage the size of a city," Lucifer corrected her softly.
He tapped his heavy iron gauntlet against the armrest and inputted a rapid series of commands directly into the Void-Core Reactor’s master grid!
"System," Lucifer commanded with his voice dropping to a low dangerous rumble of pure Void magic. "Initiate the Orbital Strike Alignment."
[System Warning: Massive Structural Reconfiguration Detected!]
[Target: Zephyria Defense Grid.]
[Action: Synchronizing 10,000x Cryo-Pylons with Primary Spire Conduit.]
The entire floating mountain shuddered violently!
It was not a structural failure. It was an aggressive terrifying mechanical shift!
Outside the keep, the ten thousand glowing blue Cryo-Pylons ringing the perimeter of the city stopped their continuous horizontal firing patterns against the Gargoyle swarm.
The massive floating crystal orbs atop each spire physically rotated inward and pointed directly toward the center of the city!
High above the keep, the Spire of Celestial Convergence responded. The massive golden rings of the Wonder locked into a rigid vertical alignment! The giant violet crystal at its apex flared with blinding unstable energy.
"What are you doing?!" Vexia shrieked and hovered backward as the magical pressure in the grand hall skyrocketed. "You are turning the automated defense towers inward! They will tear the city apart!"
"They won’t fire on the city," Lucifer stated smoothly. "They will fire through it."
He did not explain the physics. He commanded the system.
[Alignment Complete.]
[Status: City-Wide Artillery Convergence Locked.]
[Weapon Classification Upgraded: Planetary-Defense Railgun.]
Lucifer stood up from the throne.
He walked down the steps of the dais and his dark armor absorbed the frantic flashing warning lights of the interface. He looked at Elara. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"The city is the gun," Lucifer explained simply. "The ten thousand Pylons will fire simultaneously into the central Spire.
The Wonder will act as a focusing lens, combining the absolute zero magic with Sarah’s cosmic energy.
The resulting beam will be dense enough to punch straight through the Abyssal tear and shatter the Keystone in a single shot."
Elara’s golden eyes widened. The Twilight Sovereign understood the raw unadulterated madness of the tactic.
"You are going to use the entire mountain as a single sniper rifle," Elara breathed. She gripped her violet-flaming spear. "The recoil... the magical feedback will be catastrophic. If the Spire shatters before the beam fires, the backblast will vaporize the keep."
"It won’t shatter," Lucifer said with absolute certainty. "The Void-Core Reactor will absorb the recoil."
He turned his attention back to the holographic map.
"But to ensure the beam hits the Keystone perfectly, I cannot fire from an angle," Lucifer noted. "The trajectory must be absolutely vertical. I have to position the Spire directly beneath the center of the pupil."
"The center of the eye," Lyra whispered and looked up at the ceiling. "That is the thickest concentration of the Abyssal Vanguard. Malphas’s true army is pouring out of that exact spot."
"Then we drive through them," Lucifer commanded.
He did not wait for objections. He tapped the comms rune.
"Celeste," Lucifer ordered.
"Vanguard is ready, Grand Marshal," the High Ranger replied instantly. She was stationed in the main courtyard surrounded by the thirteen million mortal soldiers and the thousand golden Paladin-Mechs.
"Brace the mortals," Lucifer instructed. "The shield is going to take heavy kinetic impacts. I am moving the city."
Lucifer channeled his Archmage-level mana directly into the throne’s control node!
He did not gently accelerate. He engaged maximum vertical and horizontal thrust simultaneously!
Zephyria lurched! The floating black mountain shot upward and forward and tore through the stratosphere with terrifying speed.
The iridescent planetary shield screamed as it slammed into the thick bruised-purple clouds of the Abyssal storm.
Lucifer piloted the entire city.
He did not stand at a steering wheel. He used his Void Arcanist core to physically drag the spatial coordinates of the mountain toward the massive burning purple eye in the sky.
The Abyssal swarm reacted instantly.
Millions of Gargoyles and Void-Rays previously swarming the lower perimeter shrieked as the massive city surged directly into their primary staging area.
The monsters hurled themselves against the iridescent shield and their black chitin shattered upon impact.
But as Zephyria climbed higher and closed the distance to the colossal eye, the nature of the enemy changed.
"Heavy signatures detected on the hull!" Vexia yelled and her red eyes locked onto a secondary holographic monitor near the dais. "They are not Gargoyles. They are massive!"
Lucifer did not need to look at the monitor. He could feel the impacts.
Massive resounding THUDS echoed through the bedrock of the city. The entire mountain shook.
These were not aerial flyers crashing into the shield. These were entities actively latching onto the barrier and attempting to physically crush it.
"Malphas is deploying the heavy guard," Elara stated coldly. She readied her spear and her Twilight wings shifted.
Lucifer kept his hands locked on the spatial controls and steered the city. He could not leave the throne room to fight.
If he broke his concentration, the massive inertia of the moving mountain would tear the bedrock apart!
"Elara," Lucifer commanded with his void eyes fixed on the navigation grid. "The shield will hold against their magic, but it cannot withstand sustained physical pressure from heavy-class bosses.
They will crack the dome before we reach firing position."
"I will clear the hull," Elara vowed fiercely.
"You are not going alone," Lucifer said smoothly. He tapped the comms rune. "Isolde."
"I hear you, Warlord," the Winter Sovereign’s voice hissed through the link, laced with dark draconic excitement.
"The airspace is getting crowded," Lucifer noted. "Clear my windshield."
"With pleasure."
High above the central keep, the fifty thousand Glacial Wyrms roared!
The Crown-Tier Legion launched from the battlements. They did not fly outside the planetary shield; they swarmed the inside of the iridescent dome and acted as an internal interceptor fleet.
Isolde in her colossal mountain-sized Crystalline White Dragon form took the apex position.
Elara did not hesitate. She activated her Twilight wings, rocketed out of the grand hall, and flew straight up.
She seamlessly landed on the massive jagged crystal spikes at the base of Isolde’s neck and secured her grip.
"To the forward shield wall, Queen!" Elara shouted over the roaring wind and pointed her spear.
Isolde roared in agreement. The massive dragon banked sharply and flew directly toward the leading edge of the city’s defensive dome!
Through the translucent pearl-like barrier, they could see the threat.
Dozens of colossal heavily armored Abyssal Dread-Knights were clinging to the outside of the shield.
They were Level 70 Epic Bosses riding massive corrupted bone-griffons. They swung colossal executioner swords imbued with dark matter and violently hacked at the magical barrier.
The shield was holding, but jagged glowing white cracks were beginning to spiderweb across the surface under the sustained assault!
Isolde did not slow down.
"Burn them!" Elara commanded.
Isolde opened her massive jaws. She unleashed a torrential continuous beam of absolute liquid frostfire.
The beam did not hit the monsters directly. It hit the inside of the planetary shield.
The magical barrier acted as a perfect conductor. The absolute zero magic spread instantly across the surface of the dome and super-cooled the iridescent energy field!
The Abyssal Dread-Knights clinging to the outside of the shield did not realize what was happening until it was too late.
The extreme sudden drop in temperature instantly flash-froze the dark matter armor of the bosses! Their massive corrupted griffons shrieked as their wings turned brittle and snapped off in the high-altitude wind.
"Shatter them!" Elara roared.
The fifty thousand Glacial Wyrms swarming behind their Matriarch followed up the attack. They did not breathe frostfire. They used their massive diamond-hard bodies!
The Wyrms violently slammed themselves against the inside of the shield and hit the exact spots where the frozen Dread-Knights were clinging to the outside!
The sheer concussive shockwave transferred perfectly through the magical barrier!
The frozen brittle Abyssal Bosses shattered like cheap glass on the outside of the dome! Dozens of Level 70 elites were pulverized into fine black dust without a single Zephyrian soldier ever leaving the safety of the shield.
"Hull clear, Warlord," Elara reported smoothly over the comms with a predatory smile on her face as she watched the black dust blow away in the wind.
Down in the grand hall, Lucifer smirked.
"Perfect," Lucifer said.
He looked at the holographic navigation grid. The red target marker representing the Keystone of Chaos was dead ahead.
"We are entering the firing zone," Lucifer announced with his voice echoing across the entire city. "Ten seconds to alignment. All ground forces, brace for extreme recoil."
Zephyria surged forward and plunged directly beneath the colossal burning purple eye in the sky. The city was positioned perfectly. The Spire of Celestial Convergence pointed straight up and aimed directly into the center of the Abyssal pupil.
"Target locked," Lucifer declared coldly.
He raised his iron gauntlet and hovered over the master firing rune on the armrest of the throne.
Before he could push the rune, the entire floating city violently shuddered, It was not a magical impact. It was a massive physical collision that nearly threw Lyra and Vexia off their feet.
The ambient light outside the windows vanished.
Lucifer looked up at the holographic display. The red warning runes flashed frantically.
"Warlord!" Isolde’s voice shrieked over the comms. Her usual arrogant tone was completely replaced by sudden genuine panic. "He is here!"
Lucifer did not need the dragon to explain. He could see it on the monitor.
The Abyssal Sovereign had realized Lucifer’s plan. Malphas was not waiting for the cannon to fire.
Two colossal pitch-black demonic hands easily the size of mountain ranges had reached out from the purple rift.
The hands physically grabbed the outer edges of Zephyria’s iridescent shield and gripped the floating city like a toy.
The Demon King was trying to crush the mountain before it could pull the trigger.
