I Reincarnated as The Protagonist's Best Friend
Chapter 76: Mature(I Think)
"... People can cheat on their partners while still loving them, you know?"
Quash said with a frown. He knew he was being stupid. And he was being very impulsive at the moment, not thinking with his brain but his heart. But he wanted this relationship to really work out.
Without there ever being any misunderstanding. This was the first time he had met someone who thought so much like him.
Life would be so much easier with her by his side.
"That’s a thing?"
Gabriella asked with genuine confusion. The books she read didn’t say anything about this. There were stories of betrayals, but everything involved the protagonist being mistreated or ignored, which led their partner to fall out of love. But betraying while still loving their partner?
What kind of disgusting act was that?
"Yes. You didn’t know?"
"...No."
"But now you know."
"But that still doesn’t change my outlook on the matter, nor the psychological foundation I grew up with. Make me fall in love and I will be yours forever. And I can’t betray you even if I want to. You will know the moment I do something that you absolutely hate. So will I. The Spiritual Bond we share goes both ways."
Gabriella explained the Spiritual Bond a bit. It was brief but informative enough to get the whole picture.
"So basically, we’re good?"
"Yes."
"Hmm."
Quash leaned back on the chair, thinking. He knew very little about the spiritual bond of the Vampire race. The novel never truly explained it in depth, because there was no need for it. There was no romance with a vampire.
"Looks like my worries were unfounded."
"Mmm."
"But it was still a good opportunity for us."
"How?"
"Remember when I said yesterday that we should communicate with each other if something bothered us?"
"Yes?"
"Well, look on the bright side, I kept my promise. And also created an example. So in the future, if something bothers you, make sure to consult with me if it concerns our relationship. Don’t go to some third party without talking among ourselves. Letting a third party inside a relationship is as good as poisoning the relationship."
"Okay."
Gabriella said nonchalantly. She suddenly stood up from her chair and walked up to Quash’s side. Quash looked confused for a moment but realised what she wanted. He smiled a bit. She circled around and sat on his lap.
He inhaled her intoxicating scent. She sniffed his scent as well, her bloodlust flaring up. The taste of his blood still danced on her tongue. She still remembered the heavenly taste of his blood. If she were a normal Vampire, she would have lost control of herself long ago. But she knew how to control herself.
But in moments like these, she let go of the restraints.
Quash saw that his Vampire wifey was pretty thirsty. He unbuttoned the top button of his shirt and made it easier for her to bite his neck.
Her fangs grew, and she gave his neck a lick before biting down.
"Mmmm~."
She made a cute noise which made Quash smile gently. He pulled her closer and hugged her.
It wasn’t a bad feeling at all. Now that he was at peace, he felt a lot better about their future together. He could more or less trust her with his back. He gently patted her head. Her hair was soft and silky. She was still glued to his neck, sucking blood.
"Hey Gabby, you still in control? Or are you going to suck me dry?"
Gabriella pulled herself up from his neck. She smacked her lips and licked the blood off of his neck in delight.
"Tasty~."
She said with a smile which made Quash stare at her in a daze. He normally doesn’t really care about women but if he doesn’t admire his wife’s beauty, who will?
Gabriella suddenly leaned closer to his face, trickling her finger over his face as she hugged him by the neck.
"What is this? Is my hubby excited just from a hug?"
She whispered in his ear. She felt the bulge in his pants pressing against her thighs. She didn’t feel repulsed at all. Instead, there was a bit of excitement in her heart.
"... You know you’re playing with fire, right?"
Quash said as he felt her hand trickle down and rest on his manhood, rubbing it gently, sending small jolts of pleasure through his spine.
Gabriella smiled teasingly and leaned even closer, staring into his eyes. Their lips were almost touching.
"I want to see if that fire burns me or is just for— mm!"
Before she could finish, Quash kissed her on her lips. She was startled and opened her mouth, allowing his tongue to invade her mouth.
Their tongues fought for dominance, while their hands explored each other’s bodies. Gabriella’s hand roamed all over Quash, feeling his strong body.
Quash pulled her closer while one hand went to explore her lower body, feeling her soft yet cold flesh under his palm.
Sloppy kissing noises rang on the balcony. They didn’t need to worry about any prying eyes because the Formation of the mansion was like a two-way mirror.
They continued to explore each other, their clothes loosening without them knowing. They found themselves in the bed, their breathing heavy. The room was filled with a kind of tension and heat that made them ignore everything else. Both of them topless, Quash stared at his wife.
The sight in front of him was a feast for the eyes. She was perfect in every way. He buried his face in her bosom, squeezing her with his hands and pressing against her face. He could not get enough.
Cute but sexy noises escaped from Gabriella’s mouth. She was covering her mouth with her hand, trying her best to not let those embarrassing sounds escape.
Even though she had read a lot about sex back home, this was the first time actually feeling it. And it made her feel weird in ways she can’t describe.
Before long, both of them didn’t have a single string on their bodies. Throughout the whole day, they lost themselves in each other’s bodies and passion, forgetting about the rest of the world.
