One after another, the Glacial soldiers kept falling as Yi Chen, as a sword master in motion, kept slashing at them relentlessly.

Thanks to the swords Gao Zhen kept supplying at regular intervals, he did not limit his strikes to just legs and started experimenting with various other strikes.

As time passed, a glint of excitement took over his eyes despite the huge wave of Glacial soldiers that showed no signs of reducing.

His sword cleanly cut the glacial soldier in half as he watched its body crash onto the ground, turning into fragments of black ice soon after.

’That’s the thousandth one...’ he thought while letting out an exhausted sigh.

Seeing the huge numbers still rushing towards them and shoving the front line soldiers ahead, Yi Chen realised that he still had to deal with a few thousand more.

Glancing towards Gao Zhen, he asked the next instant as his figure rushed towards the soldiers that were coming from behind her, "Hey, how many Qi Nourishing Pills do you have?"

"W-What?" Gao Zhen asked, unable to hear him clearly. In the last seven hours, he had only talked to her four times, and in all those times, he had only repeated one word.

Therefore, she was also expecting him to repeat the same thing again. However, hearing a different set of words, she was caught off guard by it.

Hearing her response, Yi Chen clenched his jaws in irritation and, while cutting down two Glacier soldiers in half, roared, "I asked, how many Qi Nourishing Pills do you have?"

She attracted his attention before throwing the bottles towards him. Seeing the bottles flying towards him, Yi Chen immediately activated his storage ring and placed them inside.

With his Qi supply taken care of, he once again fully immersed himself in the act of slaying these soldiers one after the other.

Time kept passing as only the sound of Yi Chen’s sword clashing with the Glacier soldiers’ bodies resounded in the surroundings.

Another ten hours passed, and feeling that her injuries had somewhat recovered, Gao Zhen tried to lessen the burden on Yi Chen and lunged towards an incoming Glacial soldier as well.

However, gritting her teeth, she kept engaging with the Glacial soldier with the intention of at least bringing one of them down.

"What the hell are you doing in that state?! Do you want to die?"

Yi Chen roared when he noticed this and immediately dealt with the Glacial soldiers that had surrounded her figure.

The next instant, he glared at her and said while pointing a few steps behind, "Just stay there and don’t make more trouble for me!"

Hearing those harsh words, Gao Zhen couldn’t help but frown, but still forced herself to comply, taking a few steps back.

’I only wanted to help...’ she thought bitterly while glancing at Yi Chen’s back.

Meanwhile, a different set of thoughts was going on in Yi Chen’s mind.

’I’ll have to be more vigilant from now on. If she tries something stupid like that again, then I’ll forever be stuck in this place,’ he gritted his teeth and kept hacking down the soldiers more and more ruthlessly.

By now, an entire day had elapsed, and Yi Chen had dealt with almost two thousand of them.

’Finally, their numbers appear to be dwindling...’ he sighed in relief while glancing at the pack of Glacial soldiers behind the ones that were facing him at the moment.

From a rough estimate, there were thousands more to deal with. However, now that he had already dealt with two thousand of them, another thousand no longer looked monumental.

"Sword."

He said while glancing toward Gao Zhen, and instantly, a new one was thrown in his direction.

He immediately caught it and swung it at the Glacial soldiers like usual, dismembering them into pieces. However, just then, Gao Zhen’s voice entered his ears.

"I-I’ve got only nine more left..." she informed the next instant with hesitation on her face.

’Only this much?’ Yi Chen couldn’t help but frown when he heard those words.

Since all the swords Gao Zhen had provided were quite durable, he had been slaying the soldiers with added vigour all this time to do maximum damage as fast as possible.

As a result, although the swords held up for quite a long time, after dealing with roughly sixty or seventy Glacial soldiers, they too were corroded.

"Alright..." he responded and kept cutting apart the soldiers without slowing down his pace.

’Instead of slowing down now, I’ll just maintain my speed and deal with the remaining hundreds using my fists,’ he thought to himself while dealing with the remaining numbers without pause.
