"Transform Yokai?" A Yokai said.

Some Yokai had the power to transform entirely into human like the Foxes that Carter had seen. But it wasn’t a universal ability. Most were just a hybrid with an animal head.

The Raven Wings retreated back to the black suit. Carter looked around and smiled in a friendly way.

"Who are you? Are you a newbie here?" A Yokai with a Pig head said.

The Tiger Yokai from before trembled in fear. It stepped back.

"You’re afraid of me now, huh?" The Goat Yokai laughed and pointed at the Tiger.

"Stupid goat. That human is very powerful."

"Huh?" The Goat turned over to Carter.

The entire place froze like time had stopped. The Yokais noticed the blade on the man’s hand. Only human used weapons. Yokais and their body parts were their weapons.

The Tiger turned around and bounced without looking back. It transformed into a full Tiger for more speed.

Carter unsheathed Iganu.

"So much blood... I want them all!" Iganu’s voice echoed.

"And you shall have them." Carter whispered.

Without using Adrenaline, the black swordsman turned into a blur, leaving only bright flashes of his strikes behind.

When he was visible again, Carter sheathed his sword with a sharp ’click’.

The Yokais exploded into blood. Their body parts scattered on the ground.

"No! Get away!"

"Hah! Hah! Hah!"

"Swordsman!"

The Yokais screamed in many different expressions.

Carter dashed at each one of them and ended their lives.

Because the original Eldritch Knight Skin was fused into a Champion Skin, all of the previous Synchronization was stripped away, making Carter start from the beginning.

Luckily, the Yokai was still counted as evil beings for Eldritch Knight to farm Synchronization.

The Tiger Yokai ran as fast as it could. It didn’t even dare looking back. It hoped that its kinds could slow that man down a little bit, buying it enough time to escape.

’Champion! That man must be a Champion! Why did a Champion come to Giyaku?!’

Suddenly, its vision shifted to the side and fell closer to the ground. Its headless body continued running for a few steps before dropping down.

’What...’

Its eyes slowly lost their focus. It had been decapitated without even knowing it.

The black swordsman bolted away.

Carter burst into the wooden wall. Five Yokais were inside doing God knows what. They stumbled around aimlessly.

"Huh?" A Yokai turned toward Carter. It had a long tongue hanging loosely from his mouth.

These Yokais seemed to be much dumber than the animal Yokais. They looked mostly like human but their body parts were disfigured or in the wrong size.

Carter swiped Iganu in the air, cutting its neck off.

The Yokai screamed but its head was already in the air.

The other Disfigured Yokais screamed, they all aimed their mouth at Carter. Disorienting shockwaves blasted at the black swordsman.

But even those shockwaves were too slow for him. The swordsman had already disappeared. Bright flashes filled the place as Iganu feasted on more blood.

The Yokais were cut into many little pieces.

The Land Spirit held his breath as he witnessed the black swordsman cleaned the Yokais one by one. He was unstoppable and with his speed, the Yokais died like insects.

’Can’t believe it. He’s so strong. If it’s him, there might be a chance.’

Then, Kazou felt a certain aura in the air. It was one of those stronger Yokais.

"There is a strong Yokai approaching you, Unnamed. It might be an Elite."

Carter smirked. He stood still, waiting for the Elite to come.

It was a large Yokai with the skin of charcoal. It held a giant club in its hands. Two horns stood on top of its forehead and its hair was that of a green color.

’Hmmm. A Yokai even has this form. It looks like a demon in a sense.’

"Who dares cause trouble in Giyaku City?" The Yokai’s deep voice echoed.

It looked down into the small puny human that it despised greatly. White smoke came out of its mouth.

It lifted its large club and smashed down at Carter. The ground cracked around the large wooden piece.

"Heh. Weak man."

It lifted its club up but there was nothing underground.

"What?" The Yokai gasped.

Carter had already climbed on its shoulder and stared directly into its soul.

"You thought size is everything? Weak Yokai."

The black swordsman disappeared. Bright flashes went through the Yokai’s body.

Carter reappeared on the ground, sheathing Iganu into its scabbard with a ’click’.

"ARGH!" The Yokai fell apart. Each of its limbs was cut off. Its body was sliced into four and its neck severed from its body.

The Yokai’s head flopped to the ground and rolled to Carter’s leg.

"Can’t even survive one attack and you’re proud of yourself?"

Carter stomped down on the head, crushing its entirely.

His hair moved gently in the wind.

In front of him, five Elite Yokais approached, each with their own characteristics.

"Scram, human! Scram! Or we will kill you!"

"Is this all of you? I’m disappointed." Carter said.

As soon as he finished, more Yokais appeared. Each was an Elite beings. They surrounded him.
