Chapter 1042

’When did she...?’

A funnel of flames could be seen roaring out of their glowing depths towards his legs.

Doooom—!

The flames burst out like lava spewing from a volcano head.

However, Z7 quickly closed his legs together as bone rapidly formed around his torso downward and soon, a dense layer of protection surrounded him from the flames that struck with searing force yet were unable to burn through the thick layer of protection.

"Graviole!" Viktor shouted as he increased the pressure around the zodiac trying to smash him into the earth but for some reason, his magic didn’t work one bit.

The zodiac remained standing and only parts of his bone armour cracked and fell off as he separated his legs while looking ahead to see Gunther charging towards him with his two curved swords in hands.

"Sigh... this is becoming boring."

Reaching into the air, Z7 pulled out a bone scythe and swung it forward clashing with Gunther’s curved swords.

Cracks spiderwebbed across the bone’s surface as Gunther began flooding ki into his swords continuously.

BANG!

Snapping his head to the side, the zodiac caught sight of a huge ball of water speeding his way like a soccer ball fired out with incredible force.

BAM!

The ball of water struck the zodiac with terrible force that shook the ground he stood on with intensity.

He was sent sliding sideways but not for long as a bunch of bone tentacles burst out from his skin and connected with the ground.

Grinding him into a halt almost immediately.

The others paused for a second at this phenomenon.

Then with a gentle lift of his gaze upward, the zodiac lunged forward with his bone tentacles spinning and whirling in the air behind him like sentient limbs.

Gunther swirled Ki around his feet and with an explosive burst, he rushed forward then slid in with a swing of his swords that clashed with the tentacles which were fired out his way.

Even with that, he wasn’t fully able to push the tentacles aside as a bone spear was thrust his way with rapid velocity.

"Tidal Crash!"

A huge wave of water burst forth and crashed into the Zodiac’s side with the force of a battering ram.

This pushed the mage to the side allowing his spear to veer off course.

Visual ki erupted around Gunther’s sword in the form of yellow wave.

Swinging the weapon around, a wheel of yellow water burst forth and severed the tentacles like they were made of flesh and not bones.

Unhesitatingly, he blurred into motion, giving chase and refusing the Zodiac to rest one bit.

Disks of water orbited all around Charlotte as she glared ahead with a frown on her face.

Gunther reached the Zodiac and almost immediately, burst into a flurry of unrelentless movement.

His swords lashed and swiped at every corner and opening he could find yet the zodiac blocked and deflected with his own bone constructs.

Parrying a swift thrust from Gunther to the side, a bone hammer immediately appeared in his grip which he hurled at the warrior.

BAM!

It struck with the force of a freight train blasting Gunther backward as saliva tore from his throat.

Swooosh! Fwiiish!

The water disks flew forward like arrows of destruction.

Z7 didn’t waste time as his tentacles regenerated and almost immediately, shot forward to meet the disks head on.

He deflected and parried the disks away sending them crashing into the earth and digging deep grooves into them.

Swinging his hand to the side, Viktor uttered:

"Graviole."

The earth crumbled under the gravitational pressure and soon enough, hundreds of debris levitated into the air around him.

Swinging his hand forward, they were launched towards the zodiac who was still too occupied with Charlotte’s water disks to notice the projectiles flying his way.

When he realised it though, it was too late.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

The debris smashed into his face with immense force almost sending him flying if it wasn’t for the fact that he dug his bone tentacles into the ground, halting him from flying off.

"Water Magic; Sea Dragon Roar."

ROARRRR! BOOOOM!

A huge dragon made entirely of water burst out of nowhere and shot forward with lightning beast at the suspended Zodiac who was in the air.

Before his eyes could finish widening, the dragon smashed into him with the force of fifty speeding trains.

His eyes stretched wide immediately as crimson droplets burst out of his mouth immediately.

The dragon grabbed the Zodiac in its fangs and shot into the air for a second then curled back down with lightning beast and proceeded to burrow the Zodiac into the earth.

Dust and debris shot upward instantly as the whole battlefield jittered from the thunderous crash.

As these battles were going on, the larger, large scale battle was still going on with Rivock, Killian and Amir with the support of Lilly and Randin who were running low were pushing the Otherworlders back.

They didn’t relent. Didn’t stop.

Elara had even joined in the battle as vines burst out from every structure in the town and were lashing out in all directions.

Either coiling around the necks of the enemies and twisting them roughly causing them to drop with a thud.

Or it will coil around their feet and hurl them away from their allies.

Not only were the vines taking care of enemies, they were also pulling the Dawn forces out of harm’s way.

Sometimes when a lethal strike was headed their way, she would pull the men out of the way and bringing them to safety.

Injured warriors and mages were being recovered while being treated by Vanica who had taken her eyes off the fight with Vince to treat the men brought to her.

While all these was going, Zodiac one didn’t even budge an inch as he kept scanning the field, looking at everything going on.

His expression hidden behind the mask.

’Hm... None of them are worth my time... yet. Gustav took the one I was most interested in.’
