Magus Supremacy
Chapter 1043: Must Go Down
Chapter 1043
WAM!
Thalos’ greatsword clobbered into Orion from the side with massive force that split the earth in two.
Almost immediately, the Primordial, warrior beast was lifted off his feet and sent ricocheting across the terrain with bouncy force.
"Ignitus!" Fenrir swung his hand and a parchment turned to ash as it flew forward.
Then, roaring into existence was a huge fireball that immediately detonated against the warrior beast’s face with intense force, further adding to his bouncing body.
Thalos refused to give the Zodiac time to rest as he lunged forward in a lightning-fast movement.
His sword raised above his head, he swung it down at the still ricocheting man.
Orion’s void-like eyes just rolled to catch the sword descending upon him, ready to cleave him in two.
With uncanny agility, as Ki flooded his legs, the man darted aside with brutal speed.
Within a beat, the gargoyle’s sword smashed into the earth.
The ground didn’t make it.
It was instantly split in two as if an earthquake had ripped into the surface.
Shooting to his feet, Orion’s tail crashed into the ground and coiled like a spring.
Then, with a deafening crash, it uncoiled, sending the warrior beast flying with lightning speed.
Within a blink, his legs smashed into Thalos’ side, further hammering him into the earth with all his might.
A cavity the size of a whale tore open instantly, with dust and debris billowing into the air.
Noir zipped forward with Fenrir sitting atop the wolf.
Within a second, Fenrir launched off the wolf like it was a platform.
His hand stretched into the air as the sky rumbled loudly, and then, swinging it back down, a lightning pillar screeched downward, smashing into Orion with impressive force.
Orion’s knees buckled immediately as the soil bent beneath his feet, unable to bear his weight while the lightning pillar bore down on him.
Rushing from Noir’s jaws was a huge fireball the size of a house.
It screamed forward and slammed into Orion’s abdomen with explosive force, so intense that even the sound barrier gave way.
The beast warrior’s body was blasted backward as scales fell off his body like stacks of cards.
He was about to crash into the Otherworlders’ army when visual ki in the form of obsidian waves roared out, whipping around his body and slowing his flight.
Then, in reverse, he launched forward with devastating speed. Within a blink, he was before Fenrir, his pincer-like claws shooting toward the mage with lightning speed.
However, something whooshed forward and slammed the claw to the side.
It was Thalos’ sword.
It veered the claw to the side long enough for Fenrir to bolt forward.
With lightning-infused speed, Fenrir’s hand shot forward as he slammed his palm onto the warrior beast’s chest.
With a giant leap backward, he clicked his tongue while Orion glanced downward to see a parchment on his chest.
The next second, it lit up, and a humongous blast of wind burst out, smashing the warrior beast backward with lightning speed. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
In two seconds, his body crashed through a building, turning the whole thing into rubble almost immediately.
The structure gave way to his massive weight, unable to support it for long.
Kira darted forward with teleportation-like speed and unhesitatingly flapped her wings, sending hundreds of razor-sharp lightning feathers shooting forward like bullets.
Bursting out of the rubble that threatened to bury him, Orion was met with the lightning feathers shooting his way.
Without delay, he blurred into motion, his pincer-like claws lashing forward and colliding with the feathers, throwing them to the side.
His speed and precision were too great, and within moments, the feathers fell to the ground.
Thalos materialized before the man, and from there onward, it was a high-speed clash that shook the very earth and town itself.
Thalos blurred forward with his greatsword in his grip, colliding with Orion’s pincer-like claws repeatedly.
They began dancing across the terrain with lightning speed.
Claw for greatsword.
They moved.
The world gave way for them, as nobody was able to near them.
The air shuddered under the force of their clash, the sound barrier cracking with each smash of their various weapons.
Orion moved seamlessly like a seasoned swordsman.
His attacks flowed into each other like a seamless chain, like a needle flowing through fabric under the hands of a seamstress.
The precision, the movement of his hands, hips, and body was so impeccable that his decades of swordsmanship were showing like an open book for everybody to see.
His movements were almost minimal but carried devastating force.
Thalos, on the other hand, wasn’t letting up.
Though his weapon of choice was a greatsword, he hadn’t spent every waking hour training with it.
But even the little time he had spent with this weapon was enough to allow him to hold his own against the man closest to godhood.
Each parry and block was so fast, sharp, and strong, his defense refusing to break under Orion’s strength.
He was stubborn, almost immovable as their feet glided across the terrain.
Some unfortunate fighters in the area were unlucky enough to get caught in the aftermath of their dance.
Shockwaves blasted out in all directions as sword struck pincer.
Even with each devastating hit, the pincer-like claws didn’t even have a dent on them, let alone a crack.
They held their own against Thalos, who was beginning to sustain injuries here and there.
Nothing too serious, but if something wasn’t done soon, they would stack up quickly.
Though they could track the fight, Kira, Noir, and Fenrir were unable to interfere—not because they didn’t want to, but because there was just no opening for them, as the whole duel and movement was so tight, like a shrunken alleyway.
While this was going on, Fenrir’s hair was beginning to rise above his shoulders, his eyes glowing white like the clouds that had now darkened overhead.
A white glow was beginning to surround his body as his gaze danced along with the combatants’ feet, waiting for the perfect chance to move in.
He was laying in wait, ready to activate his breakthrough at a moment’s notice if the opportunity presented itself.
He knew the opening would soon appear.
It was just a matter of mere moments.
Orion Stormvale must go down, no matter what happened.
