My College Teacher is My Children's Mom
Chapter 920: Innocent Youth
A quiet night.
The next morning at nine, both woke from their slumber.
Since they had plenty of time today, and it only took three to four hours to get from Shangri-La town to the high-altitude city, there was no need to rush off early like before.
Together, they went to the bathroom to freshen up.
Lin Feng saw Zhang Yuxi looking dazed and sleepy, brushing her teeth with her eyes half-closed.
Lin Feng found Zhang Yuxi’s appearance very cute and amusing.
So, while Zhang Yuxi wasn’t paying attention, he smeared the foam of the facial cleanser on her face.
Zhang Yuxi felt a coolness on her face,
and suddenly startled, her originally sleepy eyes widened instantly. She noticed Lin Feng watching her with a playful grin.
Zhang Yuxi was fully awake now.
She glanced in the mirror and immediately discovered that it was Lin Feng who had smeared the facial cleanser foam on her cheeks.
"Oh! You’re annoying!"
She rolled her eyes at Lin Feng, teasingly whining!
Hmph! Lin Feng, this bad guy, only knows how to bully!
"Hahaha..."
Lin Feng couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Zhang Yuxi was truly adorable; even the way she got angry and rolled her eyes was just so cute, incredibly cute!
After playful teasing, they started packing their things and then had breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
At ten-thirty, after checking out, they set off.
Along the way.
Lin Feng lowered the car speed to the minimum to allow them to enjoy the scenery along the roadside.
With time in their hands, Lin Feng avoided the highways and chose small rural paths, believing they would better experience the authentic scenes of local villages.
The rural roads, full of gravel, were certainly much harder to traverse than the highways.
But thanks to the excellent off-road performance of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, combined with Lin Feng’s Master-Level Car Driving Skills, apart from feeling slightly bumpy, everything was fine as they rode along.
Lin Feng drove the car, stopping and going, and upon seeing beautiful landscapes, he would stop.
The two got out of the car, constantly taking photos as souvenirs.
Lin Feng even retrieved a tripod from the car, set up the camera not far away, and they took some photos together.
Some photos showed Zhang Yuxi happily laying on Lin Feng’s back making victory signs.
Others showed Zhang Yuxi smiling sweetly, nestled in Lin Feng’s arms;
There were also shots of them lying on the grass, gazing at the sky.
The photos turned out beautifully and warmly, delighting Zhang Yuxi, who said she would print them out and place them in her room after returning.
Her face was filled with happiness...
Subsequently, they continued forward and found a small village not far away.
It was noon, with smoke rising from the chimneys of a few households.
Lin Feng drove slowly and checked the car navigation; the map indicated they were already within Litang County.
The small village ahead was under the jurisdiction of Litang County, named Kri Rizawa Village.
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains amid drifting smoke, distant yak calls could be heard.
The entire village resembled something from a poetic painting, everything peaceful and perfect.
Reluctant to disturb or ruin the tranquility of the village, Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi paused briefly, took some beautiful photos, and then drove off.
About a kilometer away in a meadow, Lin Feng spotted a young Tibetan herder. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Herds of yaks grazed on the grass.
The youth lay nearby on a small hillock, chewing on a piece of grass, eyes closed, seemingly lost in thought.
He appeared so relaxed and carefree.
Then Lin Feng’s car engine sounded, causing the youth to open his eyes, curiously looking at the slowly approaching vehicle.
The youth initially wondered how a car appeared here.
A bit puzzled.
Since in their village, travel means were horses and motorbikes.
Cars were unreachable to them.
Hence, he curiously watched Lin Feng’s car, thinking it looked so cool, which flashed through his mind secondarily.
Lin Feng’s car came closer, and the engine sound startled the yaks grazing.
The yaks began mooing loudly...
Nian Yujin sprang up from the hillock, soothing the slightly frightened yaks in Tibetan.
Lin Feng’s car arrived in front.
He had seen the yaks startled by his car engine noise.
He slowly parked the car, opened the door, and jumped out.
Lin Feng planned to apologize to the youth.
After all, his actions disturbed the yaks.
Thankfully, the youth soothed them, else it would’ve been troublesome if the frightened yaks scattered around.
Lin Feng walked slowly to the youth.
Only then did he notice the youth’s age, around seventeen or eighteen, seemingly the same age as himself.
He extended his right hand and started speaking.
"Hello, brother, I apologize for disturbing your yaks earlier. Sorry!"
The youth’s Mandarin wasn’t very good; he roughly understood Lin Feng’s apology for the yaks’ disturbance.
He comprehended and smiled gently with innocence.
His pure eyes seemed as clean as the Tibetan sky.
He gently extended his right hand, shook Lin Feng’s, and stutteringly said.
"You... you, hello. It’s okay..."
Looking at the innocent face and clear eyes, Lin Feng sighed in his heart.
The Tibetan herders are purely innocent, absent from the urban people’s calculations, representing humanity’s original state!
Then they chatted, and Lin Feng learned the youth’s name was Ding Zhen, seventeen years old, a year younger than himself. Due to conditions, he had only attended school briefly, hence his poor Mandarin.
After chatting, Lin Feng understood the youth’s situation better.
Lin Feng saw it was noon, and since the youth hadn’t eaten lunch, he returned to the car to bring Zhang Yuxi down, then took some bread, drinks, and fruits from the car to Ding Zhen.
Introducing Zhang Yuxi, Ding Zhen shyly smiled at her.
Like Lin Feng, Zhang Yuxi was immediately moved by the youth’s innocence and purity.
People often said Tibetan herders were simple; indeed, it was true seeing it firsthand!
Lin Feng invited Ding Zhen for a simple lunch, which he shyly declined initially but eventually agreed, unable to turn down Lin Feng.
They sat on the ground, eating and chatting.
Despite Ding Zhen’s poor Mandarin, he tried his best to express himself in a way Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi could understand, occasionally using gestures, smiling shyly.
Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi couldn’t help but sigh.
What a pure and innocent youth!
After finishing lunch, Ding Zhen wanted to invite Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi to his house.
Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi, reluctant to disrupt the village’s tranquility, politely declined, saying they needed to travel and would visit another time if possible.
Ding Zhen understood, flashing a pure and clean smile.
After a while, Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi got back into the car, heading towards Litang town.
As they waved goodbye, Ding Zhen’s face still lit with that pure smile, his gaze as clear as Tibet’s sky.
May this youth remain purely innocent forever; non-disruption might be the best respect for such purity...
Ding Zhen watched Lin Feng’s black Mercedes-Benz G-Class fading from sight.
Standing there, pondering, he suddenly broke into a broad smile.
Perhaps wondering when Lin Feng would return, eager to invite him to his home.
