My father sold me to the Mafia King
Chapter 192/The List of the Forbidden
Chapter 192
Julie’s Point of View
He laughed softly. "You truly seem like a huge fan."
I slowly extended my hand and placed a finger on his arm, pressing lightly. "I’m just making sure you’re real and that I’m not dreaming."
He smiled broadly, and suddenly he pulled me toward him, hugging me tightly. "Look... I’m real," he whispered playfully.
My body stiffened for a moment from the surprise before I surrendered to the embrace. My God! Sebastian Fine is hugging me! If my university friends knew I had seen him and hugged him, they would die of jealousy and would never believe it.
Suddenly, a hoarse voice, cold as ice, cut through the moment. "What’s going on here?"
It was Robert. I quickly backed away from Sebastian, my heart pounding. "Mr. Robert, I didn’t know you knew Mr. Sebastian," I said nervously.
Robert walked toward his seat with heavy steps, sat down, and fixed us with a sharp look. "And I didn’t know you knew him well enough to hug each other!"
"Who doesn’t know him? Everyone knows him!" I said with a wide smile. Then I turned to Sebastian and said enthusiastically, "He’s my favorite celebrity, and I love him so much."
"You’re making me blush," Sebastian replied with an affected shyness.
"Leave, Julie," Robert said with a coldness that boded no good. "Mr. Sebastian and I need to talk."
But I didn’t move; instead, I said imploringly, "Please, let me sit with him for just a bit! I want to ask him about the second part of his movie. I want to know if he dies or stays alive."
"Oh, I can’t tell," Sebastian replied mysteriously.
I grabbed his arm again eagerly. "Please... tell me!"
"I said leave, Julie!" Robert barked.
I exhaled in deep frustration, feeling resentment rise in my chest. I left the office. Damn him! Why won’t he let me stay with him for a while? I just wanted to sit with Sebastian and hear about the movie details. But I won’t give up that easily; I’ll stay right here in front of the door until he comes out to talk to him again.
I stood there for a full half-hour, watching the clock as anxiety ate at me. Finally, the door opened and Sebastian stepped out with his charming presence. "I’m going to insist you tell me what happens!" I said eagerly as soon as I saw him.
He laughed softly. "I told you I can’t; the contracts are strict."
"I promise I won’t tell anyone," I said seriously, moving closer to him. "It’ll be a secret between us."
He leaned toward me and whispered in my ear in a warm tone that made my skin crawl: "I won’t die."
I smiled broadly, feeling immense joy. "Oh! Thank you for telling me." He began walking down the hallway with his confident strides, and I followed him like a shadow. "And that actress Amelia, who plays your girlfriend will you two get back together?"
"Oh, you have a lot of curiosity," he said playfully, looking at me.
"I want to know if you’ll return to each other in the second part," I insisted.
"I told you one secret; I can’t tell you two," he said.
I saw him open the door to the ’Special Room’ and he entered. I walked in after him without thinking. "Please, just tell me this and I won’t ask again."
He stopped and turned to me. "Hmm... she dies."
I gasped in shock, covering my mouth with my hand. "What? That’s so unfair!"
"That’s what’s in the script, darling," he said calmly.
"No way! They have to change it," I said indignantly.
"You’re really funny," he said, observing my features.
"Will you convince the writer to change the script?" I asked innocently. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"You have a beautiful face," he said suddenly. "Have you ever thought about acting?"
"Me? No... you’re joking!" I said in shy confusion.
"I’m serious," he said earnestly. "You’d be great in comedy roles because you’re so witty."
"No, no," I said humbly. "I prefer just to watch."
Suddenly, I noticed the place. Damn! I’m in the Special Room! How did I not notice I had entered this cursed room? "What are you doing here?" I asked with sudden tension.
He laughed and said mysteriously, "What do they usually do here?"
My God! The truth hit me; he came to hire a girl from Robert! "I have to go now," I said quickly, panic taking over.
I opened the room door in a hurry and collided forcefully with a girl outside. She fell to the floor with a faint cry.
She was a Korean girl with delicate features, long black hair cascading down her back, and wide black eyes; she was wearing a short black dress and high-heeled shoes.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t notice!" I said, extending my hand to her with deep regret.
She took my hand, and I helped her up while her features contorted in pain. She tried to stand but swayed and couldn’t walk. "I think I sprained my ankle," she said in a pained voice, clutching her foot.
"My God! I’m truly sorry," I said in panic and remorse.
I saw Robert heading toward us with long, heavy strides. My God! I’m in real trouble this time. He approached us, his eyes burning with rage. "What happened?" he asked in a dry tone.
"I collided with her... and she fell, and she might have sprained her ankle," I stammered, my body trembling.
He looked at me with a sharpness that made me shrink into myself. "You... what are you doing here?"
"I... I was..." I said, the confusion choking my breath.
At that moment, Sebastian stepped out of the room, saving the situation. "She was asking me about the movie." Then he looked at the Korean girl, whose features were twisting in pain. "What’s wrong? Is something the matter?" The girl was in severe pain, leaning against the wall. Suddenly, Olivia came rushing toward the noise.
"Olivia, help her and take her to the doctor immediately," Robert said in a commanding tone.
Olivia supported her carefully and took her away as she limped on one leg, letting out pained whimpers. "I’m truly sorry; I didn’t mean for her to get hurt," I said in a tone full of regret.
"It’s fine," Sebastian said, running a hand through his hair nonchalantly. "But where is my girl for tonight?"
"You can choose another; we’ll have her ready for you quickly," Robert replied coldly.
Sebastian smiled and looked at me in a strange way, then asked, "And this witty girl... is she available on your list, Mr. Robert?"
I gasped in shock, placing my hand on my chest. "What?!" I said in disbelief.
"I’m just joking," Sebastian said quickly, laughing.
I saw Robert’s features contort violently, his hand clenching into a tight fist. "There is no such joking, Mr. Sebastian," he replied in a voice carrying a muffled threat. "This is my personal assistant, and she is never available on my list."
"I said I was just joking," Sebastian said, raising his hands in a sign of surrender. "I’ll trust your choice, Mr. Robert... send a girl to me."
"Fine," Robert said curtly. Then he turned to me, looked directly into my eyes, and said, "You... come with me."
I walked behind him with a bowed head, trying desperately to justify myself. "I didn’t mean to knock her to the ground."
He stopped suddenly, turned to me, and said in an angry hiss, "What were you doing in that room with him, Julie?"
"I was asking him about the movie," I said truthfully.
He slammed his hand against the wall beside me and said sharply, "Damn the movie! Now get back to your room and don’t come out!"
I went, feeling the fire of anger burning in my chest. Why does he scold me every time? Am I a little girl for him to control like this?
