Chapter 233: Damian Vs Corbin [3]

PA!!!

The gigantic golden deity finally closed its hands completely. The impact sounded like the heavens slamming shut.

A devastating shockwave erupted outward from the clasped palms, flattening the forest beneath them violently. Hundreds of trees exploded apart while the earth cracked endlessly beneath the overwhelming divine pressure.

The demons below gasped in horror. Several were thrown backward despite standing far from the impact zone.

Jota stumbled heavily before forcing himself upright again, his single massive eye trembling violently as he stared at the colossal golden figure towering above the battlefield.

The pressure radiating from that attack was horrifying. Even from this distance, its divine aura burned his flesh painfully. This attack was genuinely powerful enough to wound a Duke!

His gaze slowly shifted toward Corbin standing beneath the glowing deity. For the first time in seven thousand years Jota felt genuine fear toward a human.

In all his seven thosuand years existing within the underworld, he had never encountered a mortal so monstrously endowed with divine power.

This priestwas a human capable of challenging a Duke of Hell That alone was abnormal beyond reason.

Then suddenly a horrifying possibility surfaced within Jota’s mind. The demon’s breathing stopped, his massive eye widened violently.

"No..." he muttered shakily. "Don’t tell me he is..."

His filthy clawless arms grabbed onto the fabric of his torn, dirty jeans desperately while his entire body trembled uncontrollably.

"Impossible..." His voice cracked. "People like that are rare... rarer than rare..."

Gods could not descend into the mortal realm normally. The laws governing existence rejected their true forms completely. So the deities of Heaven and Hell resorted to countless indirect methods to influence lower realms.

Except one.

Once every thousand years a seed was born. Amongst humans, certain individuals emerged possessing bodies perfectly compatible with divine existence itself.

The gods referred to them as Seeds because they were perfect vessels capable of housing a deity’s full power without collapsing.

Through such hosts Gods could descend into the mortal world completely unrestricted.

No limits, no suppression and no divine barriers.

However, such vessels could only be used once before burning out completely. Because of that, gods almost never used them unless absolutely necessary.

Yet even without possession seeds were terrifying beings. They possessed an unnatural affinity toward spirituality itself. Whether they walked the path of Heaven or Hell, they always evolved into monsters.

Jota stared at Corbin with growing horror. To think someone of that caliber had been hiding on this insignificant planet all along.

Meanwhile, Corbin and the others remained completely focused on the radiant deity glowing brighter and brighter above the battlefield. The giant construct now resembled a miniature sun suspended within the cathedral.

Golden light swallowed everything as Corbin slowly raised one hand and began weaving his fingers through the air gracefully. A divine symbol formed before him and golden scriptures rotated around the sigil endlessly while holy power condensed into its core.

Corbin pushed the symbol toward the deity. The moment it touched the giant construct every priest, angel and even Gilbert clasped their hands together respectfully and bowed deeply.

"Shelah..." they murmured in unison.

The battlefield became eerily silent afterward. They remained bowed respectfully while the divine symbol slowly melted into the deity’s chest.

Instantly the giant construct’s golden body began turning white as its divine aura intensified threefold.

"Purge all evil..." they prayed together.

The gigantic deity slowly tightened its embrace further intending to erase Damian completely from existence.

HMPH!!!

The snort echoed across the heavens like thunder itself and every head snapped upward instantly.

"PURGE?" Damian’s voice boomed from within the deity.

"THIS GOD?"

A violent purple light suddenly exploded inside the construct’s chest.

"AMBITIOUS!!!"

The entire battlefield froze. Corbin’s eyes widened violently.

"IMPOSSIBLE!!!"

BOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOM!!!

Violent explosions erupted repeatedly from inside the deity. The giant construct began shaking uncontrollably as racks of violet light burst through its massive body like rupturing veins.

The cathedral trembled violently around them as rays of dark purple demonic force began exploding outward through the deity’s fingers. The gigantic construct struggled desperately to contain whatever was inside but it was failing rapidly.

[Wild Activated!]

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!

The giant deity exploded apart.

Its massive arms shattered into countless fragments of divine energy as a monstrous figure burst from within the destruction with a deafening growl that shook the heavens themselves.

ROOOOOOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!

A gigantic three tailed fox erupted into existence.

Black and purple flames covered its enormous body while violent demonic aura distorted the surrounding air endlessly. The pressure released from its appearance alone shattered the remaining cathedral walls instantly.

This caused priests to scream in horror and even angels recoiled instinctively.

SWOOOOSH!!!

Not even allowing the deity time to recover the gigantic fox avatar spun violently midair. Its massive tails swept outward like an executioner’s axe.

Swish!

In a swift motion the fox avatar sliced cleanly through the deity’s neck and stood with its back facing the enemy.

The giant construct froze for one brief second before—

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!

The headless deity exploded catastrophically. Divine energy erupted across the skies like collapsing stars while the remaining cathedral shattered completely beneath the impact.

Golden walls collapsed violently while holy scriptures disintegrated. The heavens themselves looked like they were breaking apart, resulting in a shockwave that flattened the entire forest for miles.

Priests and angels were hurled screaming through the air while demons collapsed against the ground desperately trying to survive the pressure.

And at the center of the destruction the gigantic three tailed fox stood proudly beneath the collapsing heavens while dark purple flames danced endlessly around its enormous body.

In one overwhelming display of brute force Damian had destroyed both the deity and the cathedral.

Floating within the forehead of the gigantic fox avatar, Damian stared down at the chaos below with a satisfied smile lingering across his face.

Even with his strength halved, he was still this overwhelming. The realization alone sent excitement coursing through him. The Wild ability had truly surpassed every expectation he initially had for it.

Floating safely within the massive fox while staring down upon the battlefield from above made Damian feel less like a demon and more like a true deity watching lesser beings struggle beneath him..

Compared to the monstrous avatar he currently occupied, they looked fragile.
