My Lust System: I Inherited The Sin Of Lust And His Three Wives
Chapter 234: Absolute Victory
For Corbin, it felt like the world itself had been turned upside down. Ever since his defeat against Damian during the battle with Duke Haborym, he had trained relentlessly for this very moment.
This loss shattered his pride completely. It forced him to reflect upon himself, his faith, his weakness and the limits of his humanity. He prayed harder, trained harder and endured more pain.
He devoted every waking moment toward becoming stronger so that the next time they met, he would stand tall before this demon. Yet now that long awaited day has finally arrived and he lost without even making Damian sweat.
The realization crushed him far more brutally than physical pain ever could.
As someone who had improved so drastically within such a short period of time, standing before Damian now somehow made it feel like he had not improved at all.
No... It felt worse than that. It felt like he had become weaker.
Corbin slowly lowered his gaze toward his trembling hands.
"How..." his voice cracked slightly.
"How is all of this happening?"
For the first time in his life, doubt surfaced within the heart of a genius. His hollow white eyes quaked visibly.
Was his faith insufficient?
Was his understanding of Heaven lacking?
Was there something fundamentally wrong with him?
In the face of absolute defeat, Corbin found himself unable to comprehend reality itself. Beside him, Gilbert stared coldly at the gigantic fox avatar towering above the battlefield. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
The archangel’s burned face tightened slightly.
"The inheritance of the Seven Deadly Sins is no joke," Gilbert sighed heavily.
"I underestimated him."
The archangel’s golden eyes narrowed faintly. Nobody expected Damian would evolve this quickly within such a short span of time.
To make matters worse the mysterious artifact Damian possessed completely concealed his true strength. Even now, Gilbert still could not accurately gauge Damian’s power.
If not for the destruction currently surrounding them, anyone could mistake Damian for an ordinary human.
This entire battle had been fought without sufficient information and this was the result. Gilbert slowly turned toward Corbin.
"Our priority now is your safety."
The archangel’s tone remained calm despite the destruction around them.
"Leave this place immediately. The others and I will hold this monster back."
Corbin snapped out of his spiraling thoughts instantly.Shock flooded his expression.
"No..." he hissed immediately.
"I’m not leaving."
His fists clenched tightly.
"I cannot abandon my subordinates."
His gaze slowly lifted back toward the gigantic fox avatar looming over the battlefield.. All of it mixed within his expression violently.
Meanwhile....
Floating comfortably within the forehead region of his Wild avatar, Damian watched the panicking battlefield beneath him calmly. The priests and angels were gathering together desperately once more despite the fear written all over their faces.
Damian slowly raised one hand and dark purple demonic force immediately gathered around his fingers violently.
"It’s time to squash these flies," he hissed coldly.
His glowing violet eyes pulsed brightly within the fox avatar.
THUD!
Suddenly Rin jumped directly onto Damian’s raised palm, stopping the movement midway. The tiny fox stood upright on its hind legs while glaring directly at him.
"Relax."
Rin folded his paws calmly.
"Killing them will cause more harm than good."
Damian frowned immediately but he did not act rashly. Instead, he lowered his gaze toward Rin calmly.
"Explain."
Rin nodded once before turning toward Corbin far below them.
"Our original plan was to maintain a low profile and avoid attracting attention. Correct?"
Damian nodded slowly.
"To avoid attracting the attention of the Commandment of Piety or something?" he raised a brow.
"Yes."
Rin nodded again as his small purple eyes narrowed slightly.
"That man is a Seed."
BUZZ!
Damian’s expression instantly changed. His violet eyes narrowed sharply as his gaze locked onto Corbin again.
With Rin constantly teaching him, Damian’s knowledge of the supernatural world had grown massively. He understood exactly what a Seed represented and the implications behind that were horrifying.
If the Commandment of Piety or the Sin of Greed used Corbin to target him, How exactly was he supposed to survive against a deity wielding its full unrestricted power?
Damian frowned deeply.
"Wouldn’t it be smarter to kill him now before that becomes a problem?" he asked calmly.
Rin immediately rolled his eyes.
"Are you ready for a second deity to carve time out of its existence specifically to hunt you down?"
The tiny fox crossed his paws.
"Apparently our brother Greed is not enough stress for you."
Sigh...
Damian slowly threw his head backward with a defeated groan before raising both hands in surrender. Honestly he just felt embarrassed now. He had publicly declared their deaths moments ago. Now he had to let them leave alive.
"At least you could have warned me before I threatened them," Damian facepalmed heavily.
Rin instantly stood upright again, raising both paws defensively to prove his innocence.
"In my defense, I was also shocked they decided to fight you."
The little fox snorted.
"I genuinely thought they were smarter than that."
Damian stared at him blankly. For a brief moment, he genuinely did not know whether to laugh, scream or cry.
How exactly was the ancient system meant to guide him somehow just as clumsy as he was?
Meanwhile....
The priests and angels slowly gathered together once more with a their expressions grim.
Their weapons tightened firmly within trembling hands. Everyone prepared themselves mentally for Damian’s next devastating attack.
However, the gigantic fox avatar simply stared at them silently. At one point it even yawned lazily.
The sight left everyone confused.
Several priests exchanged uncertain glances. One angel slowly lowered its weapon slightly.
"...Are we still fighting?" one priest muttered weakly.
No one answered him. Because honestly nobody knew anymore.
Buzz!
The gigantic fox avatar finally moved. The reaction across the battlefield was immediate.
Priests instinctively raised their weapons while guardian angels spread their wings defensively. Several holy barriers formed at once as divine energy surged wildly through the shattered remains of the battlefield.
Even Corbin’s expression tightened sharply.
After witnessing the destruction of the cathedral and deity, nobody dared underestimate even the slightest movement Damian made anymore.
The monstrous fox slowly lowered its massive head.
Its glowing violet eyes swept across the priests calmly, causing several of them to unconsciously retreat backward. To everyone’s shock the avatar completely ignored them. Instead, the gigantic fox stretched one enormous arm past the gathered priests and angels toward the trembling demons standing far behind them.
The massive clawed palm stopped gently before Jota and the others. Compared to the fox’s size, the demons looked smaller than insects yet Damian’s voice still boomed clearly from within the avatar.
"Everyone follow me."
His tone was calm but carried terrifying dominance. Then the fox’s eyes slowly shifted toward the surrounding priests and coldness flooded the battlefield instantly.
"I would love to see who dares stop us from leaving."
The threatening growl beneath his words sent chills through everyone present.
