"Carla, watch your words!"

For the first time, Victor saw Alexandra offended and angry.

Her voice, usually gentle, turned somewhat cold.

This was truly the first time, and Victor didn’t know whether she had ever been like this before they met.

However, Carla’s words were indeed too crude.

And it seemed this woman was very hostile toward Alexandra within the sect.

"Ohhh, so you’re finally offended. Doesn’t that mean my words are true? I just want to know how much you enjoyed it. Oh, no—you must have enjoyed it a lot, or you wouldn’t be so lovestruck." Carla became even more excited in mocking Alexandra as the latter grew angry.

Alexandra began to struggle to control her emotions. Her face turned slightly red—but red from anger.

Victor lightly nudged Alexandra’s hand, instantly calming her mind, and she took a deep breath.

If observed carefully, quite a few disciples disliked Carla’s behavior, but it seemed her status was too high for them to defend Alexandra.

"If you’re not done saying what you want, then say it all. I’ll listen until you’re finished," Alexandra said.

"Hmph." Carla snorted softly. "You really are the best at acting elegant," she said.

After that, she shifted her gaze to Victor.

Then, she gave a faint smile.

"It must feel amazing, right, being with a Heavenly Woman?"

Victor had already expected that nothing good would come out of this woman’s mouth.

He chose not to respond, but her gaze began to scan him from head to toe, as if carefully observing a piece of art.

Her smile widened.

Alexandra looked uncomfortable upon seeing her expression.

"I can’t even give you a rating—your figure is truly priceless," she said.

"Alexandra clearly had inner pressure when her life was arranged to become your fiancée, yet when she met you, she accepted you so easily. Even after you broke off the engagement, you still managed to make her your lover."

Victor: "..."

Alexandra: "..."

After saying that, Carla touched Victor’s chest.

Victor frowned slightly.

His temperament wasn’t so light that he would jump in shock just because a woman touched him.

He remained calm.

"Are you aroused by me?" she asked indifferently.

"Alexandra is aroused, and other young women like us would also be aroused. I’m normal, so I feel the same. We haven’t trained enough to have hearts unaffected by appearances."

Even though Alexandra had calmed down, her emotions began to stir again as her name kept being mentioned.

The problem was that this was a vulgar conversation.

Even prostitutes wouldn’t speak like this so openly, especially with so many people watching.

"Victor, let’s go!" Alexandra finally didn’t want to listen to Carla any longer.

This time, she took the initiative to pull Victor’s hand.

Victor let himself be pulled along.

Carla didn’t follow, but Victor saw that she kept smiling charmingly.

He understood that her main motive was to attack Alexandra.

To do that, she could do anything.

Her desire toward him might be real, but normally a woman of high status wouldn’t act so uncontrollably.

"Carla used to be my close friend," Alexandra said. "But for some reason, she began to hate me and sees me as a true hypocrite. Her hatred has only grown over time. Just to oppose me, she does everything she can to attack me."

Hearing that, Victor only smiled.

Friendships between women could indeed end that badly for certain reasons.

After climbing the mountain for quite some time, Victor and Alexandra arrived in front of a large and magnificent castle.

It was surrounded by massive walls that continuously emitted a noble light.

Quite a number of disciples were training around those walls.

The light emitted from them seemed to greatly assist their cultivation.

Even just relaxing there, they seemed to gain many benefits.

Behind the castle, Victor saw rows of pillars standing close together, unlike those in other places.

Their number reached hundreds, forming an extremely grand sight.

"This castle used to be my father’s private residence. He often ruled the world from here. I still remember when I was little, many powerful figures from different continents came here," Alexandra said.

With a touch of her finger, the gate in the wall opened by itself.

The entire castle was naturally protected by a personal formation. No one could enter the walls, even by flying.

Only Alexandra—and those she permitted—could enter.

Victor was brought inside.

Compared to the courtyard of Lady Jade Sovereign’s castle, this one contained more small ponds filled with water that emitted the strongest light in the entire sect.

Victor didn’t know their function. Without light-based power, he felt no benefit from them.

Alexandra didn’t explain anything. They entered the castle, whose interior was grand and tranquil.

Victor saw many luxurious furnishings arranged neatly.

The walls were filled with paintings of extraordinary scenery.

A chandelier composed of a thousand crystals hung from the ceiling, illuminating the enclosed castle.

There were two staircases leading to the second floor, which seemed to be divided into two separate areas.

Alexandra stepped toward the staircase on the right.

At the end of the stairs, Victor noticed a corridor with five doors.

Each door had mysterious inscriptions that seemed to be sealing symbols.

Perhaps the treasures left behind by the World Monarch were divided among these rooms.

Not all of them were taken by Alexandra. Some treasures might be too dangerous for her to carry.

As for this castle, it wasn’t something anyone could tamper with.

It was certainly protected by a large amount of the Monarch’s power.

That power might fade over time, but at least in this era, it remained strong—enough to protect Alexandra until she grew powerful herself.

Alexandra stopped in front of one of the doors.

She didn’t open it immediately, but looked at Victor first.

"I was only given three drops of blood as an inheritance," she said. "But for us, these three drops are already immense. Even though they are sealed, the pressure of their power is still dangerous. It doesn’t affect me, but you must be careful."

Victor didn’t know what the blood of a World Monarch truly looked like for Alexandra to say that.

He nodded and gestured for her to open the door.

Click!

The door opened with a single push from the woman.
