"Honestly, your Kido is terrible. It's not even real Kido in my eyes," Shin said coolly to the students.
He didn't pull any punches—there was no need to. Besides, he was telling the truth. Their skills were pathetic.
Shin's words made some of the students indignant. One of them couldn't help but say, "Then how about you show us what real Kido looks like, sensei?"
Shin glanced at the student, then simply raised his hand.
He used the same Hado #1: Shō. But the one Shin unleashed directly tore through the Kido training ground, ripping the earth apart. The sheer force of it sent the Soul Reaper trainees scattering, some so terrified they couldn't even stand.
"This level is barely a pass," Shin said calmly to the students who were about to wet themselves.
Even Yoruichi, who was just watching for fun, was speechless. That was barely a pass? To be honest, even she couldn't cause that much destruction with just a Hado #1.
The power of Kido depended on one's spiritual pressure. The Hado #1 Shin used was probably more powerful than some Captains' high-level Kido.
"That's the power of Hado #1?" All the students' eyes widened.
They had always thought Hado #1 was too weak and wanted to learn stronger Kido, but their previous instructor wouldn't teach them. Now they realized it wasn't the spell that was weak—it was them.
"Shin, you went a bit overboard. You might have to pay for all this damage," Yoruichi said to him.
Shin's previously calm face instantly changed. What? Pay for it?
Hearing he had to pay, Shin instantly restored all the damage to the area. If Yoruichi hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she would have thought the place had never been damaged.
"How did you do that?" Yoruichi asked Shin.
In the blink of an eye, everything was back to normal. It was too incredible. Whatever power that was, Yoruichi wanted to learn it.
"Don't ask. Even if I told you, you couldn't learn it, so don't waste your time," Shin said, waving his hand at Yoruichi. It was impossible for her to learn. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Shin had used Yin-Yang Release to repair everything. Yin-Yang Release could create all things; repairing some ground damage was a piece of cake.
But if a Soul Reaper died, I can't bring them back. While I can resurrect humans, Soul Reapers and souls are another matter. A Soul Reaper was essentially a soul. If they were killed, their soul would likely be completely dispersed, making revival impossible.
"So amazing."
Rukia looked at Shin with admiration. Shin didn't even know he was Rukia's idol.
Of course, there were plenty of people who admired Shin; you could find many in the Seireitei. His handsome appearance alone won him a lot of fans.
"I don't care how you learned before. From now on, your Kido training will start from the very beginning," Shin said to them.
Shin was actually a very good teacher, as he had thoroughly studied Kido. After completely understanding Kido, teaching it to others was a simple matter.
Of course, even if Shin's teaching ability was great, this world was never short of fools—or rather, people who were not suited for practicing Kido. For such people, Shin couldn't do anything.
——————————
A week passed in the blink of an eye. Yoruichi had returned to the Second Division, chased away by Shin.
As for Shin, he had spent most of his time at the Central Soul Reaper Academy. Though he had classes often, Shin found it quite fulfilling.
"Byakuya, you came looking for me?" Shin looked at Byakuya, his lips twitching slightly as his deadpan face showed a rare change in expression.
But Byakuya's stoic face quickly returned.
"What do you want? I know you don't like to waste time, so just say it." Shin didn't think Byakuya would come to see him for no reason.
"I need a favor. I want you to look after Kuchiki Rukia."
That's right, Byakuya was here to pull some strings for Rukia. He wanted Shin to give her special attention and help her improve her strength.
"To think those words would come out of your mouth. I can't believe it."
Shin looked at Byakuya with surprise.
Byakuya was a man who valued rules above all else, yet he was pulling strings like this.
"Well, you know, I don't do freebies," Shin said, propping his feet up.
Byakuya understood, which was why he had come with money this time—and quite a lot of it, enough to make Shin's eyes light up.
"Alright, I'll agree to look after that little girl. Besides, her talent isn't bad," Shin nodded.
"Okay, if there's nothing else, you can go. Don't disturb my work," Shin said, waving Byakuya away.
He said he was working, but he was actually sleeping. Byakuya had disturbed his rest. The fact that Shin hadn't attacked him was a sign of his good temper.
Byakuya didn't say anything more and turned to leave. Now that Shin had agreed, he would definitely do it, given his personality.
Though he didn't fully understand Shin, he had a decent grasp of him. After all, Shin had instructed him in the past, and he knew Shin would be a dedicated teacher.
——————————
Not long after Byakuya left, Shin walked out of his office and found Rukia, who was training hard.
Seeing Shin, Rukia immediately ran over and respectfully called out, "Shin-sensei."
"No need to be so formal. I don't like that either. Come with me," Shin said to Rukia.
Though Rukia was a bit confused, she followed Shin to a more secluded training ground in the academy.
"I brought you here to give you some special tutoring," Shin said directly to Rukia.
Rukia was pleasantly surprised. Shin-sensei was giving her special tutoring? Did he have a good impression of her? Was he satisfied with her?
If Shin knew what she was thinking, he would have told her to stop dreaming. If Byakuya hadn't paid him, Shin wouldn't have bothered.
"If there's anything you don't understand, you can ask me directly. Not just about Kido, but other things as well," Shin said to Rukia.
Since he had taken the money, Shin would do a good job. That was his reputation. Besides, teaching one Rukia was easy for him.
"Thank you, Shin-sensei," Rukia said gratefully to Shin.
"Don't thank me. Honestly, it was your brother who paid me to look after you," Shin said, looking at the grateful Rukia.
