100X Returns System: I Dominate the Age of Gods-Chapter 150. First kiss
Seraphine’s eyes flickered as consciousness returned to her partially.
Her lashes trembled, and a soft breath escaped her lips as she felt her body resting against something warm.
The warmth was strangely familiar and comforting.
As her blurry vision slowly cleared, a familiar face registered before her.
"Will..!!"
"Shhh," William whispered close to her ear in a low, gentle voice, "Just sleep. You’re in a dream."
His breath brushed against her skin, sending a faint shiver through her.
The sedatives had not worn off completely, leaving her senses hazy and dreamlike, as though the world around her was wrapped in soft mist.
William held her carefully in his arms as he sat against the thick bark of an orange maple tree.
The tree stood tall within the Domain of Infinity. It was specially planted by him here for Sera.
Its leaves were drifting down lazily under the influence of warm spring winds.
leaves fell slowly, turning and gliding as if time itself had decided to move slowly for once.
For William, this moment felt unreal because it was peaceful, and he felt like he was forgetting who he was under the soft, drifting breaths of Sera that brushed against his skin.
He did not know when it had happened, but his heart had clenched painfully the instant he heard that Seraphine had been abducted.
Only then had he realized how deeply her presence had rooted itself into his life.
Now that she was safe in his arms, he pushed the rest of his thoughts aside.
Seraphine murmured; her words were slow and carefree under the influence of the sedatives.
She spoke about the journey after leaving the academy, about small inconveniences, about missing things she did not expect to miss.
William listened quietly, his fingers absentmindedly running through her hair.
"Why did you leave the academy so recklessly, Sera?" he asked gently. "You could have waited for me."
"I could say the same for you," Seraphine replied lightly, her head resting against his chest.
William’s gaze lowered to her face, and he noticed that her eyes were focused entirely on him, unfaltering despite their haze.
The space between them felt charged.
Seraphine shifted slightly, bringing her face closer to his neck. Her shallow breaths brushed against his skin, feeling warm and intimate.
It was sending a strange sensation through him that he could not describe.
William felt heat spread through his chest and down his spine. He felt comfortable, yet tense in a way that made his breath slow unconsciously.
He leaned slightly toward her, and their cheeks brushed against each other softly.
He was about to pull back when Seraphine let out a quiet sound while her eyes were still closed.
"Mmm... don’t," she murmured. "Remain still."
William did not question it.
His body complied instinctively, every doubt faded away on her command.
"Yes, my queen," he chuckled softly.
Seraphine smiled faintly, then turned her face just enough so that his cheek was aligned with her lips. She pressed a small, gentle peck against it, which then lingered longer than necessary.
"Hm," William said with a grin. "Seems like your energy is returning."
"Thanks to you, darling~~" she replied in a playful tone.
William raised a brow. "Oh? You’ve never called me darling before."
"It’s a dream," Seraphine said softly. "I can do anything with you here."
She leaned closer and nipped at his ear playfully to tease him.
William laughed slowly under his breath. "Who taught you to act so naughty?"
Seraphine chuckled. "Tch. You are no fun. I thought you were an alpha."
William froze, staring at her in confusion. "A... alpha? What alpha?"
"Come back from your mission," she said lazily. "We’ll read the novel together. Not actually, but yeah, I can lie. Since this is a dream."
"Oh," William realized slowly.
She genuinely believed she was dreaming.
"Mmm," Seraphine murmured, tightening her arms around him. "Let me hold you tight for now. I’ll have to cover a long journey tomorrow."
William’s hand moved gently, caressing her hair in slow, reassuring strokes.
"You’ll be alright," he said quietly.
"Mmm... it sucks doing this without you."
Her voice softened.
"Sometimes I feel like I might become a burden to you in the future."
William stiffened slightly. "Why would you think that, Sera?"
Her eyes remained closed. "You’ll get stronger. Much stronger. If I want to be your other half, I need to live up to that."
She swallowed. "I’ll try. But if I can’t... I think it might not work between us," she said as her hands rubbed slightly against his chest
Her lashes trembled as moisture gathered at the corners of her eyes.
"I didn’t realize this before," she continued in her unsteady voice, "but after seeing Maximus struggle to save Lia, I understood something."
She clutched William’s clothes tightly.
"In the future, you’ll get more powerful than anyone, and then that power will lead to powerful enemies."
"What if those enemies use me against you?" Her fingers clenched his robes, digging into his chest, matching the tightness she felt in her heart.
Her voice cracked slightly.
"What if I’m not strong enough to walk beside you?"
"What if I become a burden?"
"I don’t want you to have any weakness," she whispered. "I want you to live a safe, complete life, Willy."
Her breath hitched, and tears slipped free despite her closed eyes. She pressed herself tightly against his chest in a desperate grip as if this was her last time with him.
"I... I hope we meet in my dreams every day."
William felt her breaking.
She had been holding these thoughts alone, letting them fester in his absence. Somewhere deep down, he knew he should not have left so suddenly.
"I hope you will remember me," she whispered after a moment of silence.
Then, softly, "I wish I could remain in your embrace forever."
"When I die...."
Before she could finish, William’s hand cupped her face firmly.
He leaned in and sealed his lips against hers.
The touch and the movements were slow, he had slowly brought his face in front of hers.
The kiss gradually deepened, becoming full.
Seraphine gasped softly as their lips met, the warmth and closeness sent a rush of sensation through her.
The taste of him grounded her, pulled her back from the edge of her thoughts.
William’s heart raced, pounding violently in his chest.
He did not stop for a moment.
The feeling of kissing Seraphine overwhelmed him, drowning out every other concern. He barely remembered to breathe, his focus narrowed entirely to her.
Their lips pressed and parted slowly, meeting again with growing urgency. Each movement carried unspoken emotions, fears, and promises that neither of them could voice.
Seraphine leaned into him, her hands gripping his shoulders, anchoring herself. William held her close, his arms tightened on her waist, refusing to let go, as if afraid she would disappear if he did.
They were not gentle anymore.
Not rough either.
It was a battle of bliss.
Their hearts beat wildly, their closeness turned into a silent argument of devotion.
Seraphine tried to prove that William’s safety mattered more than her own.
William answered by showing that he would take a dagger through his heart without hesitation if it meant protecting her.
They fought without words, expressing everything through the touch of their tongues and lips.
Both fought to wound each other with the bliss of blooming love.
Both wanted a piece of each other in them.
Both felt their hearts connecting.
[Ding!! Special conditions met. Placing the Mark of Destiny on the individual Seraphine.]
The notification went completely unnoticed by Will.
His world had narrowed down to the warmth in his arms and the softness of Seraphine’s lips.
They finally broke apart, both gasping softly for breath, their foreheads resting together.
William’s hands still cupped her face as Seraphine slowly sat up on his lap, her eyes shone with love and delight.
"Gosh!!" she breathed, a small smile formed on her face. "I love this dream."
Before he could reply, she leaned in again, pressing her lips to his with renewed eagerness, refusing to let the moment end.
