Elijah sat in his car,in a cold demeaning silence that made it known to his driver that his boss wasn’t in a good mood.

Starting from this morning, he received the bad news on his side about Zaiden’s case with the company being settled,and not only that, his secretary had come into his office with the report that the shareholders weren’t panicking anymore and had gone back to where their place in the company is.

He wondered what exactly it is about Ezekiel that makes people love him,and Zaiden so much to the extent that they would trick him into believing that they are standing with him.

But yet,after all said and done,they will all go back running to Ezekiel,it’s not as if he’s not talented and capable of running the company affairs.

If given the chance they gave to his brother,he’s capable of doing more than what he and his son had ever done for the company.

Whereas,there hasn’t being much Zaiden had done to prove him worthy of leading them,aside from the fact that he had abided by the rules by getting married,that’s all.

Which leaves him with no option but to let Nathan know of his plans,he has to get married.

Truly,there’s no other reason why they don’t take him or his son seriously because Nathan wasn’t married yet,at least once he’s settled down,this would give them the initiative that Zaiden now had an eligible competitor.

But the question still unanswered was,Is Nathan willing to get married after finding out that he has feelings for his sister in-law?

He would have no option but to do as he says, because this was his future that is on the line, besides,his uncle had promised to help in securing them what they want at the company.

But he couldn’t trust him yet,he had done nothing for him but give him room for suspicion, after keeping to himself that he’s married and has a family.

What sort of an uncle is he?

That keeps his family from knowing their relatives,and he could tell that it mistakenly slipped through his lips,he didn’t want to let him know about that.

But that’s all good,after all,it has always been him running this alone with his son,he wouldn’t want to attract any trouble to himself by associating himself with someone that’s not genuine.

He’s not even sure if he’s his mother’s brother,how sure is he that he’s not someone who knew about his mother and decided to use that opportunity to extort money from him?

This was unrealistic and only happens in movies,but he couldn’t take chances.

He doesn’t even know his mother’s family ,which he’s nothing but a fool for not doing anything about that.

But what and how exactly do you want him to do that?When he doesn’t even want his father to know that he has an idea of who his real mother is?

It’s of no use letting him know of it,he’s the murderer who killed anyway, because of her hasn’t caused his mother’s death,he wouldn’t be keeping such information away from everyone.

He snapped out of his thoughts, by the car door opening for Nathan who sat down besides him,a mean look on his face.

He already knew what he did,and was he implicating himself for doing that?

No.

He did what a son of Elijah would do,he wouldn’t have loved the idea of Ezekiel finding out that he was the one who had those pictures sent to him.

He would rather alow them to be on edge, because of the forthcoming wedding than to allow his son being taken into custody.

"Father"

His name was called in a more vexed tone, that had him turning to meet the eyes of Nathan,which made it known to him that he was out moments.

"The old man is back"He revealed,losing his tie in an aggressive manner as if his grandpa was at fault for his mood tonight.

"I don’t think that should lve the least of our problems son,bec...."Elijah stated,trying to let him in on what was on his mind, but he cut through his conversation.

"Mother called,and said something interesting which I’m sure would make you have a rethink if truly he is our problem or not"

"And what exactly is it about him that would have your mother involved in?"His eyebrow was raised in a questioning manner,which suddenly made him have goose bumps at the thoughts of something going wrong with his wife and dad.

Did Sophia hurt him?

That was the first question that he was about to ask,before Nathan said something far more that would have bothered them for the time being,no.

It was certain something that would bother them, if there’s nothing they could do about it.

"The autopsy test made it known to your father that someone ate up the guard, and not an animal,and why exactly do i mention mother on these?"Nathan asked, before looking at his dad whose jaw was clenched in anger.

"Because, she’s the first person he’s telling this too after knowing of this information, and why exactly is that?"

"There’s no need to panic yet son,it’s not as of he has any ..."

"Panic you say?"Nathan asked,not believing his father at all,"you sound as if this is not something important,when we could all end this once and for all by killing that old fool"

"Enough of this Nathaniel! Just because you think that I’m not concerned about your mother’s sake, doesn’t mean that i don’t care"Elijah spat,"well go ahead and kill him and see what awaits you once you do that"

"Then what exactly do you want me to do because if nothing is done about this,this..."

"Well,that’s because you let your anger cloud your judgement that you can’t seem to think like a man you are,rather you want the easy way out! Stop being such a pussy!"

What was supposed to be a conversation between both father,and son about Nathan’s Marriage turned out to be an argument for the both of them.

"Says someone who hides behind their uncle,what sort of thinking are you talking about?"Nathan bickered,he had a rough day to start with and his dad was adding much to it by making it worser.

This will all end if that old man is dead,he won’t allow him to accuse his mother falsely,and make her lose the remaining sanity she has left with her.

That is,if she hasn’t lost it yet, because she’s not picking up her phone after telling him about what his grandfather did,her voice was enough evidence for him to know that she was barely hanging on in there. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

She would have eaten him up just like he did with the guard,and saved them the energy of killing him by themselves.

Coupled with the fact,that Eric was not at home either to let him in on the situation with his mom,and here his dad was, preaching to him about using his brain when he was busy whiling away time with that uncle of his that he doesn’t quite understanding what sort of relating they both shared.

"Listen here,I won’t have you question my love for your mother over silly observations coming from your side, haven’t you stop to think of the fact why Dad would do such a thing?"he asked,his nuthead of a son who hasn’t yet understood the way of his father upon living with him for years.

"Well that’s certainly because he knows that Mother is a ...."Nathan blurted out,but stopped to realize that they weren’t alone in the car,and he had nearly revealed his mother’s secret.

"Excuse us"Elijah told his driver,who came down from the car,he turned to face Nathan with a look on his face which warned him about getting his anger in check.

He nearly messed up big time.

"Now listen Nathan,the only reason why father would think of doing such a thing isn’t because he thinks your mother is the murderer"

"Then what father?"

"That’s because he’s testing everyone,he’s setting a trap for someone to fall into it,your grandfather would have gotten rid of your mom if he knew that she’s the one,or dont you know that again?"He asked,taking out his phone to call Sophia.

"Mom is not picking up"Nathan let him know beforehand,which was true because the phone was switched off,which is not good at all .

This is not a good sign, something bad is about to happen.

"We need to leave right now Nathan"Elijah said,his heartbeat accelerating faster than its normal beat,that it was hard for him to keep on a cool facade.

Goosebumps crept up his arms,while Nathan kept on a straight face that it was hard to tell, whether he was worried sick like his father or not.

He’s always been that way, difficult to express his emotions,but that’s not the problem right now.

He needs to get to Sophia, asap.

He can’t let history repeat itself again.
