"I can’t believe this!"Elijah yelled out in frustration the moment they came back home.

The ride back home has been a long and silent one,what transpired at the hospital left everyone dumbfounded and short of words.

Not that they didn’t have anything to say, but they weren’t focused on the part of Hazel tricking her way into the family.

Rather they were focused on the deal that was about to go down tomorrow,it had everyone in tension that even Grandpa wasn’t left out.

Averty had been wailing nonstop in Ezekiel’s arms,who was sick and tired of telling her that everything would work out fine,when he too doesn’t have the assurance to say that.

"I shouldn’t have come back,I should have stayed...behind with Zaiden.Hazel needs me,I have to go..."

Avery started acting out the moment they were in the sitting room,while the chief of staff watched everyone with his calculative eyes to know that something was wrong.

Ofcourse, the drama queen Avery Knights didn’t relent in raising his assumption over what was going on.Not that she was in her right sense either,and Ezekiel knew better to handle the case.

"No baby, everything is fine.Remember we had to leave so as not to make her feel uncomfortable, Zaiden is there already for her"Ezekiel cut her short, cupping her teary face into his,while trying to calm his wife down but it wasn’t that easy.

Tomorrow has a lot to tell with the way she’s acting,and what she’s doing right at this moment couldn’t help but make everyone feel scared.

Dwindling the hope that tomorrow was bright, with the way she’s acting.

"I still don’t see the reason why they would keep such trivial mater away,now things have gotten out of hand"

Nathan blasted,it’s been a while he voiced out his own option not that he didn’t have anything to say,but he didn’t want to say anything that will make Hazel sad.

She’s already sick,and with how blunt he was about to be concerning this matter at hand.Hazel wouldn’t have really liked his words if he had opened his mouth at the hospital.

He had urged Lucy to go upstairs to sleep, without telling her to wait up for him. She needed to rest for her sake and that of their baby.

Right now,he needed to talk some truth and some sense over Hazel’s childishness. She was definitely joking with her life, after finding out that she had the disease and didn’t have the surgery in the first place.

Moreover,it sounded stupid and unbelievable to him that there’s anything,close to that of a fairy godmother who had granted Hazel’s wish.

He’s not easily swooned over that easily,and that is because he refused to believe that something like that ever existed.

She didn’t meet any fairygothmother,but that has only been luck playing games with her, that’s why she’s still alive till now.

But the look his mother sent to him after what he just said,made him wonder if she had also been ass whipped by Hazel the way Zaiden’s mom was.

Technically speaking,he had no grudges against Hazel nor Zaiden,but looked into the situation which was way too big to handle now that things have gone dire.

If there’s a possibility that the surgery doesn’t work, and she ends up dying.Things aren’t going to be the same for everyone and as much as he hates to say this,he wouldn’t have a good life here without seeing her.

All thanks to her, because she’s the main reason why he found Lucy. If he was not driven by lust and anger that he couldn’t have the girl he loved,he wouldn’t have gone out to the club that night and saw his babygirl.

So,it’s all thanks to her,but right now he could help not to feel bad after seeing her lying in the sick bed.

She looked okay,but that doesn’t justify that things are normal inside her body.He noticed the way Zaiden had been holding it in tonight while watching as she told everyone her story.

After hours of listening,he couldn’t help but felt bad for her,and also angry at himself for acting so stupid with her in the past.

He owes her a lot of apologies ,that he will spend the years of his life atoning for his mistakes,once she makes it out alive.

She has to.No! She will make it.

He was worried about her if the surgery turns negative tomorrow,but this couldn’t be compared to what will happen to Zaiden if things go wrong.

Now that he gots his own girl,he wishes for nothing but the best for Zaiden and Hazel.They deserved all the best seeing that the family is united.

His father is cool with the family, likewise his mother who’s not going to crave to eat up anybody anymore,so why won’t he want peace?

He has Lucy and a baby on the way, he didn’t want his daughter to see her dad as a bad influence, that’s why he’s decided to come clean to accept his faults.

He wishes for nothing but peace,and happiness.But no one is happy considering Hazel’s issue.

"Take her up Ezekiel and help her to rest, tomorrow is another long day ahead of us"Grandparents told Ezekiel with his head bowed down in defeat.

It was an eyesore seeing him this way,it hurts knowing that there’s nothing he could do to help the situation, but everyone to put their trust in God and pray for a successful surgery tomorrow.

He watched his uncle help his wife upstairs,she looks so helpless.She has always loved Hazel maybe more than she did loved her own child.

"You need to rest too, father"Elijah told his dad,who sat up before settling his gaze on Nathan whose eyes were on him too.

"No"The old man denied, turning to face Elijah and Sophia who was yawning tiredly."I have to talk to Nathan,you guys go ahead.I will follow shortly"

"Goodnight father"Elijah said, taking Sophia’s hand to exit the parlour when he understood what his father meant by him talking to Nathan.

It was as if Sophia could read his mind, because it was hard dragging her away to give both men a space to talk.

"Have a good night rest"Nathan told his parents, putting his hands in his pocket before turning to face his grandpa.

"So,I want you to start from the beginning son,I want to know every single detail that went down with you and your Lucy"

It was going to be one long night,but Lucy was worth the wait.
