Morning came faster than everyone anticipated for it to come, although they were wide awake while waiting dreadfully for the d day.

The family was complete, everyone was present in the hospital and it was such a lovely sight for Hazel.

Watching them being here for her,gave her such a confidence that she wasn’t all that much scared about going in for the surgery.

But it was heart wrenching,for the fact that they were all united and the least opportunity they had to resolve their quarrel had been her using her sad news to reunite everyone.

She was still mad at her father,but it was such a bright and lovely day to start her day with filling her once happy thoughts,with that of her father’s attitude to her for quite some weeks now.

It was a bright and lovely day with the sun shining high in the sky,maybe this a sign for everyone to remain calm that today would be a blessed day.

A lovely sight, because she had been craving for the feeling to move out so that she could feel the warmness of the sun against her skin.

Hazel didn’t want to start thinking of what went down yesterday night,after having herself disappointed by what she expected of the fairygodmother.

She had tried forgetting it all just like how Zaiden had told her to do,this was another stage of her life where her choice to live is in her hands.

She was stuck in the fact that her life was solely in the hands of the godmother,but this was the time to start living for herself and making decisions not based on what time she had left.

Decision that had to do with her being the owner of her life,just like the docker had said that the surgery was a risky one and it all depends on the patient’s will to live.

She wished to come out to alive, because she had a lovely family who were rooting for her to stay with them.

How could one abandon all that to death,just because her life was in the hands of some fairy?

Her will to live was stronger,maybe more than all of them that were present today and right now she still doesn’t want to think about Zaiden.

He wasn’t here,and she had wanted that to be so,she wasn’t sure she would be able to do this without crying if she saw him.

She has just fifteen minutes left for the surgery,so she was using this precious little time she has left to look into the face of everyone.

Her mother and Avery weren’t good at faking that they were cool.Her mother was crying in her dad’s embrace, and unfortunately she captured the look on Jame’s face to know that he was jealous.

Haze hoped she didn’t say that out loud, because it seems she did that when his eyes fell on her bit she shifted that over to Nathan and his pregnant girlfriend.

"You must be Lucy?"She said with a smile,as the girl flashed her a smile before coming closer for her to find out that Nathan wasn’t lying when he said that she was her doppelganger.

The only difference was the fact that she had green eyes unlike her who had grey eyes, Zaiden’s favourite color and she was a little bit shorter than her.

"I didn’t really got to know you, but the least i have heard about you can prove how lovely of a person you are, Everything would work out fine"

She assured Hazel who sent a brief smile to her,while raising a thumb up at Nathan who grinned at her actions.

She loved Lucy already, and can’t wait for the surgery to be over so that she could spend some time with her getting to know her better.

She rubbed Hazel’s hands lovingly,before moving back to Nathan who kissed her temple, and then the next person to come over was the old man who walked into the door with Zaiden and the chief of staff.

She didn’t even want to stress him, but he wasn’t planning on staying at home either when his favourite daughter in-law was here.

"You shouldn’t have stressed yourself to be here, grandpa.I’m not dying today"She said, patting his cheeks with her free hand that wasn’t taking the IV.

He brought her hand close to peck her knuckles,before grinning at her words,"I’m glad that you know that,you would save me the stress from killing everyone here if something goes wrong"

She burst out laughing hard at his joke, although she could read the meaning into what he just said.

It was the truth, Zaiden took after him and she knew that his son would gladly do the honours of bringing down this whole building if things go wrong.

And that’s what she’s scared of, Zaiden going livid and losing his mind because of her.His temper when he’s angry was enough for her to know what will happen when it has to do with something about her.

"You will get through this Sweetheart,I know you would, and i will be right here waiting for you"He said as she nodded at him,her mother come closer to them while Grandpa gave her the space she wanted.

"How are you feeling huni?’’She asked pecking her temple,as Hazel raised her thumb up to her for her to know that she’s good.

"How does a vacation sound,just me and you, your father and Ethan...when ..all this is over?"She tried not to break down,but she’s doing a bad job at it because her dad came forward.

"You need to get it together Bella,we won’t want our little fairy to feel nervous right?"He asked, touching Bella’s shoulder.

I’m so sorry "Bella cried,while she turned to leave but Hazel held her back.

Just then, Ethan came in with the already crying Sunny who got everyone’s attention at her loud crying.

Shit! Ethan should have brought her here.

She wanted to surprise her,when all this is over.Sunny might be physically strong outside but she has the softest heart out of everyone here,that’s why she had hidden this from her in the beginning.

"It’s all my fault,I should have seen the signs’ ’She muttered to herself while coming close to her,while she couldn’t help but to start crying too.

Just as she had predicted,she was already blaming herself as if it was her fault,when she made a bigger mistake by not telling her about it considering their friendship.

"It’s not your fault Sun,please don’t try to blame yourself.I should be the one to be blamed for keeping it away from you..."

"I’m so sorry Hazel..I feel so helpless that i can’t be able to do anything about your situation.im so sorry"She cried,as Hazel looked at Ethan who understood what it meant while he went for Sunny.

The doctor and the two nurses chose this time to enter the room,making it known for everyone to know that their time was up.

Hazel’s heart skipped watching them walk in, coupled with the tension in the air.Avery bursted out in tears while Ezekeil consoled her.

She found herself crying already,but then Zaiden walked up to her,the one person she has been craving to see but she’s scared of how she’s going to react if she does that.

"Hey baby,"Zaiden said, cupping her face while using his hands to clean her face. He was trying hard not to break down too.He had to be strong for her.

"I don’t want you crying,it ruins your beautiful face"He complained,as her hand touched his.

"Zaid, I’m scared..I can’t help it..I’m scar

.."She cried,leaning closer to him as he patted her cheeks.

The nurses used this opportunity to inject another drug inside the IV,that was probably to knock her out to get her ready for the surgery ahead.

"You don’t have to baby,we will past through this okay.You have to remember that I’m out here waiting for you huni, Everyone is waiting"

"I..I’m feeling sleepy"She said,her eyes feeling heavy as Zaiden turned to see the syringe in the nurse’s hand.

"I love you baby. Stay alive for me precious, promise you will do that ’’He blurted out fastly,before she closed her eyes for good.

"I.. promise..I love..yo.."She couldn’t complete the word as her eyes closed for final, but not without hearing the cries of Avery,her mother and Sunny.

Luckily,she was able to capture Zaiden’s face for the last time, and another face that she desperately wanted to see since yesterday,the fairygodmother before the darkness enveloped her.
