A Cultivator in the World Dominated By Awakeners-Chapter 55: Register
Alex had more close friends at the school than Oliver did.
He spread the news easily. In no time, students began to gather on the football field behind the school—including first- and second-year students who hadn’t attempted to Awaken yet, and even newly enrolled students.
Some teachers even showed up.
As Oliver walked in front of them, he no longer felt like just another student. It felt like he’d become a celebrity.
He was followed by Alex, who even released his aura to show that he had successfully become a Cultivator too.
But when Oliver released his own aura, Alex’s was instantly overshadowed.
Oliver’s aura was much wider, generating gusts of wind that blew everyone’s hair back.
"My friends," Oliver said with a smile.
Speaking in front of a crowd turned out to be easier than he expected—probably thanks to the confidence he now carried.
"I know you’re all looking for guidance, but even though I’ve reached the Fifth Stage of the Spiritual Master Realm, guidance isn’t something a Cultivator at my level can provide."
When he mentioned his current level, even Alex—who already knew a bit about Oliver’s cultivation—was stunned. After all, he had only recently advanced to the Fourth Stage after returning with Ivy. How had he already advanced again?
"Fifth Stage? Are you serious? You’ve already reached the Fifth Stage?" Some students couldn’t help but blurt out.
"Oliver, don’t tell me you’ve been cultivating for a long time already? Right, when you failed to Awaken, people thought it was because you had already started cultivating. Is that true?"
Oliver wasn’t surprised people thought that way.
He shook his head in response.
"I truly only started cultivating recently. But did I start before the Awakening test? Yes—I accidentally began cultivating the day before. It wasn’t something I did intentionally—my body started absorbing Spiritual Energy on its own. That happened because, apparently, I was born with an extremely high natural talent for cultivation." Oliver explained, leaving the students stunned, mouths agape.
Talent. They all wondered how Oliver had such a gift. They themselves had their bodies tested by the Cultivator Association, but none of them showed any signs of talent.
Now they were hearing that one of their classmates had a body so gifted, it had started cultivating on its own.
"Even if you’re talented, I’ve never heard of anyone cultivating this fast," another student remarked.
"I think you just haven’t heard enough," Oliver replied casually.
He wasn’t sure if anyone else had cultivated as quickly as he had, but he didn’t want to sound arrogant in front of everyone, so that was all he said.
"I don’t rely on talent alone—it’s also luck, opportunities, and the guidance of my teacher," Oliver continued.
"Who’s your teacher?" someone immediately asked after he mentioned it.
They figured with his level of talent, he must have had a top-tier instructor. No way would someone like him settle for a random low-level Cultivator.
"My teacher is the Head of the Cultivator Association in Manchester," Oliver answered.
There was no need to keep it secret. In fact, he preferred to let people know—though it would’ve been weird to bring it up unprompted.
The identity of the Association Head wasn’t widely known, but anyone who could hold that position had to be incredibly powerful.
"I can’t say much more, because there’s not much more to say... Maybe when I’m further along in my cultivation, I’ll be able to offer advice. Of course, don’t wait around for me—you should all keep striving. Who knows? Maybe luck will come your way too," he said.
After leaving the school, he went straight to the University of Manchester with Ivy, followed by several other cars—students who also wanted to enroll there, including Alex.
Many had been accepted into the university thanks to the advantage of being local residents of Manchester.
Otherwise, getting in would have been much harder.
Even though registration could be done online, things were always easier when done in person.
And the university wasn’t far from their school—just about two kilometers away, located in a special area surrounded by more greenery and tranquility.
As they entered the campus, Oliver noticed many young foreigners—students of the university.
Their group of cars didn’t stand out at all here. There were plenty of luxury cars and sports cars, and some of the foreign students looked extremely wealthy.
The parking area was large and shaded, so no one had to worry about their vehicles overheating.
Stepping out of the car, Oliver felt the air was noticeably fresher—undoubtedly thanks to the abundance of trees.
"Are you all here to register?" No sooner had they gotten out than a female student approached them.
She wore glasses and had messy hair—clearly a bookworm, but with a friendly energy that made her approachable.
"Yeah..." Oliver replied, taking the lead.
"Please follow me, I’ll handle your registration," the girl said.
She then introduced herself to the whole group.
Her name was Nora Hill, and she came from a small village in Scotland.
There was nothing particularly interesting about her—she wasn’t a Cultivator or an Awakener.
Still, she confidently talked about herself at length, even though no one had asked or seemed especially interested.
Eventually, she led them to a spacious room where prospective students could register.
There were plenty of students from other schools there too, arriving in groups.
The registration process wasn’t handled by just one person—Nora Hill was just one of several student volunteers.
She sat behind a laptop and began asking Oliver and the others for their information.
The process was straightforward, but they had to wait in line—except for Oliver and Ivy, who were always at the front, so they went first.
Even so, they didn’t leave right away because Nora Hill had offered to show them around the university.
To her credit, she worked efficiently despite her talkative nature.
She typed extremely fast on her laptop.
Once she finished registering everyone, she stood up.
"Let’s go for a tour now. Oh, and by the way—we’ll also be eating at the cafeteria later. Today, it’s all free because a new student is treating everyone. I heard he comes from a super-rich family that basically controls the global economy," Nora said, stunning Oliver and the others.
