A Dragon against the Whole World-Chapter 69: Gathering the Strengths of a Hundred Dragons, the Ultimate Dragon Body
Galos traversed the night, carrying the corpse of the Cliff Snake Dragon, and returned to Needleleaf Valley.
Thud!
He threw the corpse of the Cliff Snake Dragon onto an open space at the edge of the valley. Although the snake dragon’s body no longer emitted toxic fumes, the pungent smell of its blood still spread far and wide.
Unlike other creatures, this blood would repel fierce beasts rather than attract them.
The blood of the Cliff Snake Dragon, just from its smell, would make weaker creatures dizzy and instinctively avoid it like a venomous snake. If they got too close and inhaled too much, they would be poisoned to death by the scent alone.
Galos landed, his four limbs touching the ground.
With the battle over and now back in his territory, he suddenly felt dizzy, nauseous, dazed... various negative effects hit him consecutively.
"The snake dragon’s poison is indeed fierce."
Shaking his head, Galos took a deep breath and turned to look at his own body.
His body was fine; the black and red scales showed little sign of any green traces.
But on his dragon wings, there were shocking patches of dark green poison spots; both the scope and depth of the erosion far exceeded the marks left from his first probing encounter with the snake dragon.
To injure the Cliff Snake Dragon initially, Galos had gotten some of its poisonous blood on him.
But he could bear these costs.
Killing a dragon was vastly different in difficulty compared to killing another fierce beast or demon of the same level.
Another dragon might not have such insidious blood and the death curse like a snake dragon, but they each had their strengths. In a battle of life and death, unless there was an unimaginable gap, killing a dragon, given the Dragon Race’s tenacity, always required some sacrifice.
At the same time, a strong scent of the snake dragon wafted around.
The Elf Dragon and Samantha flew in the sky, and the strong-bodied Violent Bears thundered in with heavy steps, all sensing danger.
Upon arriving at the scene.
They only saw Galos, his dual wings almost entirely dark green and his condition somewhat lethargic, but overall still mighty and formidable, as well as the vicious, breathless snake dragon at Galos’s feet.
At this moment, Galos.
Because the unremarkable blasting scales had shed almost completely, his black and red layered scales embedded in the steel-like scales gleamed in the moonlight, more in line with the Dragon Race’s aesthetics, as if suddenly unveiling a masquerade of disguise to reveal a more magnificent visage, capturing the gaze of the dragons present.
However, it was not the time to admire the Red Iron Dragon’s heroic demeanor.
The Elf Dragon and Samantha both noticed Galos’s wings, almost entirely turned dark green, with many areas visibly festering on the wing membrane.
Samantha was okay.
She was used to seeing Galos get injured and then recover and become stronger in a short time.
The Elf Dragon Vera burst into tears, flew around Galos, and wailed.
"It’s over, it’s over, it’s the snake dragon’s poison."
"Galos, you’re about to die, and there’s no dragon to play with Vera anymore."
This voice was like mourning.
In the Elf Dragon’s understanding, the snake dragon poison was incurable, for their frail bodies generally perished upon contact.
"Not dying."
"If such a little injury could kill me, I wouldn’t have lived till now."
Galos waved his dragon wings and said.
"Samantha, you fly high into the sky to observe the surroundings with a broad view. Möbel, you take the Violent Bears to patrol around Needleleaf Valley."
"If you detect any powerful fierce beast approaching, notify me immediately."
He commanded solemnly.
Due to the effect of the snake poison, his state wasn’t severely injured but somewhat deteriorated, hence extra vigilance was required.
Seeing Galos’s serious demeanor.
Samantha nodded and took off instantly, swirling in the night sky, observing the surroundings; Möbel also dispersed with the Violent Bears to patrol the valley’s periphery.
"What about me, what about me?"
Finding that Galos really didn’t seem like he’d die, the Elf Dragon stopped crying and asked.
"You? Stay away, and don’t get near the snake dragon’s poison blood."
Galos flew to Violent Bear Ridge, stuffed the Cliff Snake Dragon’s corpse into one of the natural caves on the cliff wall, and then returned to his own Dragon’s Nest in another spacious cave to rest his eyes.
For dragons.
Sleep is the best form of recovery.
"Galos, are you really okay? I heard some creatures, when about to die, would isolate themselves alone towards death."
Fearing that Galos might secretly die alone, the Elf Dragon Vera followed along.
Galos raised his eyelids slightly and said gloomily to the Elf Dragon, "I won’t die, but when I sleep, I love to dream and in those dreams, I love slaughtering, unintentionally killing any creature trying to approach me, so you’d better keep your distance."
The Elf Dragon meant well.
But its flapping dragon wings sounded like flies and mosquitoes to Galos, who wanted to sleep, annoying him.
"But you’re still awake,"
The Elf Dragon blinked and said.
But just after saying it, it saw Galos had already closed his eyes, as if asleep; during his sleep, a pair of dragon wings, like terrifying weapons, slowly lifted and approached the Elf Dragon.
Given the size difference between the two.
If it got a scratch or a slice.
The Elf Dragon believed it might return to the Immortal Spirit Wilderness.
Although it wanted to return to the Immortal Spirit Wilderness, it didn’t want to do so in this manner.
"Run quickly, run, Galos is dreaming and wants to kill dragons!"
The frightened Elf Dragon flapped its dragon wings and hurriedly fled the Dragon’s Nest.
Days passed.
When Galos awoke, it was already a week later.
He looked at his wings, finding that the dark green had completely faded; though some tiny scales had yet to regrow fully, leaving mottled marks, overall, it was no longer a concern.
"The resistance to poison should have significantly improved this time."
"If I experience it again, I could resolve the Cliff Snake Dragon with less cost more easily."
Galos thought to himself.
Now he still had a Cliff Snake Dragon’s corpse, and its toxins remained potent for the short term, which he could use to enhance his resistance to poison.
"This snake dragon could at least double my poison resistance."
"And my resistance to fire could be greatly improved too."
Galos conservatively estimated.
"I’ll study its body more in a while."
"Its method of releasing high-temperature steam for explosive speed is worth learning from."
He pondered.
The result of adaptive evolution was beyond Galos’s control now, but if he chose the right way to train adaptively, he could guide evolution in the direction he desired to some extent.
The Dragon Race had numerous species.
Almost every different dragon type had a unique physical structure.
Galos thought, if he could combine the best traits from hundreds of dragons into his own body, maybe he could evolve into an unprecedented ultimate dragon body.
By then.
He could sweep the entire Bernardo Planet with the power of a single dragon?
Could he live without being so cautious, like walking on thin ice?
Could he vie with the Dragon God and become the true ruler of many worlds and realms?
Could he shine with the sun and moon, living to ancient eternity, till the end of the universe?
......The Red Iron Young Dragon started to indulge in sweet fantasies.
Gurgle, gurgle.
A sudden protest from his belly pulled Galos back to reality.
Recovering from injuries and adaptive evolution both consumed energy, Galos felt famished, almost capable of devouring an entire dragon.
The hunger came continuously, like an invisible hand stirring inside his stomach, making him want to put a mouthful of soil from the surroundings into his mouth.
Every Evil Young Dragon seemed to have an unavoidable experience of eating dirt when surviving alone.
However, knowing that soil had little nutrition and eating it was embarrassing, Galos suppressed the urge and did not open his mouth.
He flapped his dragon wings while walking, shaking off the dust scattered on his body, and came out of the Dragon’s Nest.
"Wow, you survived!"
The Elf Dragon Vera was lying on a protruding rock at the cave entrance and shouted joyfully upon seeing Galos.
But its words were not too pleasant.
As if I died previously........Galos: "I was just asleep, not dead."
