Chapter 136: Chapter 136: Get Rid of Her Together

Justin Landon had originally suspected Jasper Ford was hiding something on purpose. But seeing the man’s cautious and clearly displeased expression, he fell silent for a few seconds before asking, "It’s really not?"

"No," Jasper Ford confirmed with a firm nod.

The smile on Justin Landon’s face vanished.

His expression grew complicated as he glanced at the little guy next to them. Seeing his big eyes, he couldn’t help but confirm again, "Really not?"

"No," the man repeated impatiently.

Justin Landon felt a little uncomfortable, his eyes constantly straying toward Beanie.

Beanie had a perfectly good appetite, but he lost it completely under Justin Landon’s intense stare. With a sullen expression, he lowered his head and tried to keep eating. Halfway through, he gave up. Looking up at Jasper Ford, he said, "Ford, I want to go play outside."

"Alright," Jasper Ford agreed readily.

Beanie tidied up his box, politely bid Justin Landon farewell, and the tiny, well-mannered boy opened the door to leave, even closing it behind him on his way out.

Justin Landon watched as the little guy moved about Jasper Ford’s company with ease, finally disappearing into a small corner. He was still a bit surprised, but he understood once he saw clearly where Beanie had gone: to that pretty little assistant from before.

A cryptic smile appeared in his eyes. He said to Jasper Ford, "You’d better not let Wanda Quincy see this. Otherwise, that cute little guy is going to suffer again."

A strange, cold light flashed in Jasper Ford’s stern eyes.

"I’m off. Going to see Kimberly." Justin Landon waved, picked up his briefcase, and walked out.

To his surprise, he found that Wanda Quincy hadn’t left. She was sitting on a nearby bench, waiting for him.

Justin Landon walked over. "President Quincy, it’s time to go."

Wanda Quincy stood up with a smile and said, "President Landon, what were you and Jasper talking about in there that I wasn’t allowed to hear?"

"It was nothing much, just one of our collaborative proposals. You’re not involved, so it wouldn’t be appropriate to tell you about it," Justin Landon explained calmly.

Wanda Quincy said "Oh," then nodded. "You’re right, it would be bad for me to hear. By the way, I thought I saw someone in Jasper’s lounge just now. Did you see them?"

"I did," Justin Landon nodded.

Wanda Quincy’s face turned deathly pale in an instant, and the corner of her lip twitched uncontrollably. "Who... was it?"

"A stunning beauty. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and an amazing figure, several times better than yours. In the whole world, only Kimberly could possibly compare to her," Justin Landon praised with a completely straight face.

Wanda Quincy, who was about to erupt in anger, felt her rage instantly fizzle out the moment she heard Kimberly Shaw’s name. She shouldn’t have asked Justin Landon; everyone knew he was Kimberly Shaw’s simp!

Forget it!

Wanda Quincy decided not to press the issue further. She had more important things to do.

「At eleven o’clock sharp, Wanda Quincy appeared in a coffee shop near King Corporation.」

The person who had asked to meet her was Mrs. King.

Unlike the last time they met, when Mrs. King had been indifferent as if none of it concerned her, today she was scowling and furious.

"What seems to be the matter with you today, Mrs. King?" Wanda Quincy asked, feigning ignorance.

Mrs. King said, "Let’s work together."

"Work together on what? I don’t understand," Wanda Quincy feigned confusion.

Mrs. King sneered. "Stop pretending. You hate Vivian Quincy too. Let’s work together to get rid of her."

Wanda Quincy’s hand, which had been stirring her coffee cup, paused. She looked up with a troubled expression and said, "Mrs. King, while it’s true I despise Vivian Quincy, you must have heard about what happened to me at Imperium Group. Jasper Ford has no regard for me anymore. He only has eyes for Vivian Quincy. It wouldn’t be wise for me to make a move against her at a time like this."

"If you don’t dare to, then I will." The mere thought of Beanie Quincy’s face made Mrs. King tremble with rage.

She would absolutely not tolerate a son of the King family living a carefree and happy life on the outside, growing up safe and sound.

Although Laura King had verbally promised to get Vivian Quincy to sign a contract making mother and son give up any claim to the King family’s fortune, times had changed. Who knew what could happen in a few years? And who could be certain that Vivian Quincy wasn’t interested in the vast King family fortune?

Mrs. King had children of her own. Not a single cent of their family’s money could go to an outsider, especially not a mistress!

Wanda Quincy had gotten the answer she was hoping for. She asked, "What kind of help do you need?"

Mrs. King said, "I want to get close to that child."

"I can’t do that. Vivian Quincy guards against me as if I were a thief. She protects that child exceptionally well," Wanda Quincy said, shaking her head.

Mrs. King demanded, "Then give me their whereabouts."

"That, I can do." Wanda Quincy nodded readily. "But I want to know what you’re planning to do."

Mrs. King gave a soft, vicious laugh. "The King family will not acknowledge someone with a physical defect. Not even a son."

"Understood." Wanda Quincy took an elegant sip of her coffee. "When Beanie Quincy is at Imperium Company, Jasper Ford takes him out for food around one in the afternoon. If Beanie isn’t at Imperium, he’s most likely at Thornton Group, watched over by someone named Anna."

"Anna? Never heard of her. Is she someone important?" Mrs. King pressed.

Wanda Quincy shook her head. "Just a commoner. She’s a secretarial assistant at Thornton Group, no powerful family background."

"Then it’s not a problem." To her, bullying someone with no connections and no power was as easy as crushing an ant.

Wanda Quincy added a reminder, "However, Anna and Zachary Thornton seem to have a close relationship. Zachary even assigned two bodyguards to her, though they don’t show up often."

"Assigning bodyguards to a mere assistant? Sounds like another shameless mistress," Mrs. King cursed viciously, her opinion of Anna souring even further.

Having achieved her goal, Wanda Quincy had no intention of staying longer. Worried she might be seen by the wrong person, she paid the bill and left in a hurry.

As she was going down the stairs, Wanda Quincy wasn’t paying attention and bumped into someone coming toward her. She grunted in pain.

"Wanda Quincy, what were you doing meeting with Mrs. King?" Suddenly, a sharp, interrogating voice rang out.

Called out by name, a shocked Wanda Quincy looked up and saw it was Hayden Kaye. She panicked. "What are you doing here? When did you get here?"

"I’m asking you a question! What were you plotting with Mrs. King this time?" Hayden Kaye demanded aggressively.

Wanda Quincy retorted, "I was just here for a coffee. Why are you asking so many questions? Besides, what I do is none of your business, is it?"

"You’d better not make a move against Vivian, or I’ll make you regret it," Hayden Kaye warned.

Wanda Quincy laughed as if she’d heard a joke. "Hayden Kaye, haven’t you been a simp for six years? Isn’t that enough? You treat Vivian Quincy so well, but does she give you even a second thought?"

The accusation struck a nerve with Hayden Kaye.

Wanda Quincy continued, "Vivian Quincy only remembers you when she’s in trouble. The truth is, she doesn’t care about you at all. I just don’t understand why you’re so protective of her."

"If you really love her and want to be with her, you should forget everything you saw today. Because only I can truly make Vivian Quincy leave Jeremy King. Only then will you have a chance to get back together with her."

"If all you want is to make Vivian leave Jeremy King, I can help you. But why are you involving Mrs. King? Don’t you know what kind of person she is?" Hayden Kaye was very unhappy about this.

Wanda Quincy said, "Desperate times call for desperate measures. Besides Mrs. King, who else is capable of teaching that mistress, Vivian Quincy, a lesson?"
