A Heaven-sent Sweet Child Falls Asking for Hugs-Chapter 90: Bullied by the President
Vivian Quincy had no intention of redoing the documents. She just stood to the side, playing the victim. She secretly observed the change in Jasper Ford’s expression and could clearly tell he was angry, but his fury wasn’t directed at her. Knowing her complaint had hit its mark, she didn’t dare leave Jasper hanging and quickly walked over.
"I’ll type up a new copy for you right away, Mr. Ford." As she spoke, she took the dirty documents from Jasper Ford’s desk and even pulled out a tissue to wipe his hands for him.
The man shot her a glare. Vivian Quincy didn’t dare continue and ran off with the documents.
Vivian Quincy returned quickly with a brand-new set of documents. The meeting continued as usual, but Jasper Ford was clearly unhappy. His face was cold, and he remained silent.
After the meeting, the man stood up and left coolly. As he was leaving, he said to Vivian Quincy, "Come to my office."
Vivian Quincy blinked. ’Why does he want me to go to his office? Is he going to chop me into pieces or something?’
Vivian Quincy mumbled an "oh" and cautiously followed him. ’Thank goodness, Wanda Quincy hasn’t left!’
Wanda Quincy, who had been waiting for Jasper Ford, immediately put on a brilliant smile when she saw him walk out of the conference room. She hurried over. "Jasper, are you done with work? I brought you some snacks."
"You, come in too." Jasper Ford gave Wanda Quincy an icy glance.
Wanda Quincy sensed something was wrong. Lost in thought, a bad feeling welled up inside her. She narrowed her eyes and shot a questioning look at Vivian Quincy.
Vivian Quincy couldn’t be bothered with her and walked over as if nothing was amiss.
On the desk were the torn-up files and documents covered in footprints. When Wanda Quincy saw this, she suddenly grew tense and quickly said, "Jasper, I’m sorry, this..."
"No need to explain, President Quincy. I’ve already explained to Mr. Ford that you didn’t mean to tear up and step on his documents. It was all my fault for making you angry." Before Wanda Quincy could finish, Vivian Quincy proactively "helped" her explain.
At her words, Wanda Quincy’s expression darkened. She glared at Vivian Quincy. "It was your fault to begin with! What do you mean by that? Are you saying I deliberately tore up Jasper’s documents?"
Vivian Quincy said, "Didn’t you tear them up yourself? The company’s 360-degree cameras are all on, you know." Her voice carried a hint of grievance as she spoke.
Wanda Quincy hadn’t expected Vivian Quincy to actually tattle on her. She was furious, her face flushing red with embarrassment. She hastily turned a tearful gaze to Jasper Ford, her voice choked with sobs. "Jasper, I didn’t. I really didn’t."
Jasper Ford didn’t speak. His fair, handsome fingers nonchalantly picked up the documents from the desk and threw them on the floor. "Take them and get out."
"Jasper, I..." Wanda Quincy tried to explain.
Jasper Ford lifted his frosty eyes. "I don’t want to repeat myself."
Tears streamed down Wanda Quincy’s face, and her eyes were red from crying. Biting her lip pitifully, she crouched down, picked up the files, and turned to leave.
Standing to the side, Vivian Quincy watched with a cold gaze. A faint, almost imperceptible smile played on her pretty lips. She kept her head down and said nothing. After Wanda Quincy left, she cautiously began to back away, intending to flee the battlefield.
"Stay," the man said suddenly.
Vivian Quincy, whose hand was on the door, froze. She turned back stiffly. "Is there something you need, Mr. Ford?"
"Come here," the man uttered.
Vivian Quincy hesitated for a few seconds before obediently walking over. She looked at him with wide, questioning eyes. "What is it?"
"Eat it." The man pushed the food container on the desk toward her with an expression of utter disgust.
Vivian Quincy blinked her pretty, wide eyes. ’These are the snacks Wanda made for Jasper Ford. Why is he giving them to me?’ 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
She didn’t dare move, frozen to the spot. She shook her head. "I don’t want it."
"Are you waiting for me to personally shove it in your mouth?" The man’s eyes narrowed dangerously as his hand reached for the safe.
Vivian Quincy quickly grabbed the food container. "I’ll eat it now!"
WHIP. She opened it in a flash, shoved one into her mouth, and praised it against her conscience while chewing with difficulty. "So delicious."
"Then eat all of it," Jasper Ford said.
A piece of the snack got stuck in Vivian Quincy’s throat. It took a great deal of effort to swallow it down. She tried to negotiate with Jasper Ford, "Can I take it outside to eat?"
"No." The man was cold and ruthless. Vivian Quincy wanted to reason with Jasper Ford, but he cut her off with a single sentence: "Finish it now. Right now. If you can’t, don’t blame me for shoving it in your mouth myself."
Overwhelmed with grievance, Vivian Quincy instantly fell silent.
’Wanda clearly made these for Jasper Ford, so why does he want me to eat them?’
’Although they don’t taste that bad, Wanda prepared a huge portion. I can’t even finish two!’
The devilish man watched her with a ghastly stare. Vivian Quincy was genuinely afraid that one wrong move would anger Jasper Ford and earn her a bullet. To save her own skin, she could only desperately stuff the food into her mouth.
’I’m really going to throw up!’
’She liked snacks, but right now, all she wanted was to find a place to vomit it all out!’
"Three more left. Continue," Jasper Ford reminded her.
Tears welled in Vivian Quincy’s eyes. "I can’t eat anymore."
Jasper Ford: "Say that again."
Vivian Quincy pressed her lips together and swallowed down her grievances. She was sure Jasper Ford was deliberately torturing her.
Jasper Ford had succeeded. The moment Vivian Quincy left the CEO’s office, she bolted to the restroom and threw up until her face turned green. She clutched her stomach in pain, wiping away the tears from the corners of her eyes. It was awful.
"Jasper Ford, you big demon! I hate you!" Vivian Quincy cursed indignantly, then retched again before collapsing weakly beside the toilet.
When she came out of the restroom, her face was completely pale. Anyone who didn’t know better would have thought the CEO had beaten her. They later learned that Vivian Quincy was implicated because of Wanda Quincy. Unable to vent his anger elsewhere, the CEO had driven Wanda away and then viciously taught Vivian a lesson, which explained her terrible complexion.
Everyone tacitly kept quiet. People minded their own business, and the smart ones said nothing.
It wasn’t until the end of the workday in the evening that the other employees began to leave one by one.
That great demon Jasper Ford had made her stay for overtime. Vivian Quincy was filled with grievance and was just thinking of finding something to do to vent when a call came from Beanie.
"Mommy, Miss Ford asked me out to dinner. Do you want to come?" His voice was soft and sticky-sweet, absolutely adorable.
A smile finally appeared on Vivian Quincy’s face when she heard her little darling’s voice. "I have to work overtime."
"Can’t you leave work early, Mommy?" Beanie’s voice was full of disappointment.
Vivian Quincy said, "Sweetheart, is something on your mind?"
"Yeah, I want to see Miss Ford and ask her to help investigate my daddy’s matter. She’s the matriarch of the Ford Family, so she should have the authority to look into that person from six years ago." Beanie had been thinking about this for a long time. He felt that Miss Ford was the only one who could help him.
But he was too young and worried that Miss Ford wouldn’t take him seriously, so he wanted Vivian Quincy to go with him.
Vivian Quincy glanced at the clock on the wall. "But I have to work overtime, so I can’t go."
"Did the bad uncle order you to?" Beanie’s voice was clearly tinged with hostility.
Vivian Quincy said, "Yes."
"I knew that big villain would bully you behind my back, Mommy! Just you wait, Mommy, I’m going to tattle on him right now! I’ll have Miss Ford teach him a good lesson." CLICK. Beanie hung up. It obviously wasn’t the first time he’d done something like this. Moreover, Vivian Quincy had discovered that the little guy’s complaints were always effective. A moment later, the phone in Jasper Ford’s office began to ring. Sitting outside, she could see his expression growing darker and darker.
Vivian Quincy smiled.
’He’s finally getting what he deserves!’
’Why does this suddenly feel so good?’
