A Husband For Killer Mom-Chapter 296 - Jamie Arc (part 10) Jamie Is Pregnant
296 Ch. 296 Jamie Arc (part 10) Jamie Is Pregnant
With great difficulty, Jamie woke up and broke away from the cold embrace of the man who had been fucking her all night. She put on her clothes and decided to leave the hotel without taking her things. She only brought a few hundred yuan and ordered a taxi to where her mother was buried.
After saying goodbye to her mother, Jamie went to the bank to withdraw some money so she could book a plane ticket to Hong Kong. She decided to find Loraine and force the girl to accept her. Now Jamie has no one―the only person who still holds her hope is Loraine alone. If the girl didn’t want to take her, she’d better kill herself and follow her mother.
Previously she had texted Loraine that she was coming to Hong Kong, so Jamie was sure her friend must have read her message after she arrived at Hong Kong airport.
Jamie didn’t know where Loraine’s house was now because she knew Loraine had moved but had yet to tell her the address. So Jamie could only wait at the airport.
Luckily, it didn’t take long for someone to tug at Jamie’s hand rather roughly, startling Jamie. She panicked even more when she saw that the person pulling her was a woman dressed in thick clothing and wearing a hat and sunglasses.
“Jamie, what are you doing here?”
Jamie sighed at the sound of her friend’s voice. ‘I have no choice.’ answered Loraine briefly using hand language. Without realizing it, tears were gathering at the corners of her eyes when she remembered what had happened last night.
Loraine gasped when her friend started sobbing, which confused her. Why is Jamie crying?
Ultimately, Loraine had no choice but to take Jamie to her home. Meanwhile, her mother-in-law was cradling Anxia, who was now starting to sleep in her grandmother’s arms.
.....
“Mother, I had to bring Jamie here.”
Madam Zhou smiled gently at that. “It’s okay, darling. Jamie can come here whenever she wants.”
Jamie returned the older woman’s smile kindly, then let Loraine take her hand and lead her into a room.
“As you know, our house is not as big as it used to be, and we only have three rooms here. For the time being, you sleep here with Anxia and me.”
‘Sorry to bother you.’ Jamie felt guilty because she came here without knowing Loraine’s actual condition. ‘What happened?’
“This is all because of that bastard Yu Long. He attacked my father-in-law’s small thriving company, and we went bankrupt. Luckily I met our school friends. Do you remember Cecilia Chung, our old school friend? It turns out that she also had married and now has a beautiful daughter.” Please visit fr𝗲𝚎w𝒆𝚋𝘯𝚘ѵel. c𝗼𝐦
‘Cecilia?’
“We met by chance four months ago, and she knows my family’s condition. Long story short, she asked her husband to hire Yu Hue. Our lives were getting better, but we still had to stay low profile. I never even took Xiao Xia out of the house and kept her existence a secret from everyone. Only you and this family know I have given birth to Xiao Xia.”
‘Why?’
“Yu Long… he is the biggest investor in Wong’s company. I don’t want him to use Xiao Xia to pressure my family and me.”
Jamie held Loraine’s hand to comfort her and give her strength.
“How about you? What happened? Why did you leave Singapore and come back here?”
Jamie didn’t want to add to the burden on her friend and decided not to tell what Loraine’s brother had done to her.
‘My mother is gone.’ That was the answer she gave which made Loraine also feel sad.
“I’m sorry to hear that... and I’m sorry... I couldn’t make it... Your mother is my mother too.” Loraine hugged Jamie very tightly, and both expressed their grief to each other because the only mother figure who cared for them and rebuked them when they were naughty had left this world.
“From now on, you are my family. You can stay here with us, and I won’t leave you.” now Loraine understood why Jamie had returned to China.
Loraine knew that Jamie had no one else, and she was the only one Jamie could rely on. Her protective instincts kicked in, and she decided to protect Jamie like she did her daughter.
Since then, Jamie had lived with the Zhou family and was well-received because everyone knew Jamie’s mother was their distant relative. Jamie also learned that the Zhou family experienced great grief when Zhou Yu Huan died in a car accident last year. Loraine once let slip that she suspected Yu Huan’s accident was not a mere accident, and her instincts said Yu Long was the one who caused the accident, but she had no proof.
It explained why Loraine wanted to keep Anxia’s existence a secret and never took her daughter out of the house. It was no wonder Loraine often covered her face to avoid the Luen group’s people across Hong Kong.
Loraine wished she could leave this country and go to a place where no one could find her family. However, she couldn’t go to the airport because Yu Long would know where she was going. Besides, she didn’t have the money to take the entire Zhou family out of the country.
It was then that Jamie decided to give Loraine her savings. But Loraine turned her down because the girl didn’t want to use Jamie’s mother’s hard-earned money.
Several months later, Jamie often felt nauseous and easily tired. This made Madam Zhou suspect something and blurted out without a second thought. “Are you expecting, my dear?”
Jamie gulped, and cold sweat all over, remembering that horrible, unpleasant night.
“You’re pregnant? Who got you pregnant?” Loraine was shocked and wondered who the baby’s father might be.
Jamie’s face turned as white as snow, and her hands gripped her belly as if she wanted to get rid of something in her stomach. She hated this... she didn’t want to have that bastard’s child.
Jamie stood and walked towards the kitchen to get the madam’s medicinal pills. She wanted to abort this fetus!
“Jamie! Wait a minute.” Loraine threw Jamie’s hand, so the pills she clutched were thrown all over the floor.
Madam Zhou didn’t expect the situation to develop like this, so she decided to bring little Anxia into the room and let Loraine comfort Jamie, who looked like she had seen a ghost.
