A second chance with my billionaire husband-Chapter 1604 - 320: All’s Fair in War, Taking Flight
"When did you become so soft?" Ning Zihuan pushed the bicycle as he left the school gate, Yun Ya sitting on the back seat, the gentle breeze lifting the hem of her skirt, blowing through the flower season of teenage years.
"Smack with one hand and sweeten with the other, you taught me that. Even if we need to discipline her, there are many ways. Why leave a handle in front of so many people? Otherwise, you’ll be scolded by the headmaster again tomorrow." The corners of the girl’s lips lifted slightly, showing a trace of mischief amidst her innocence.
Ning Zihuan snorted softly, "I’m not afraid at all. I was surprised at how harshly you slapped, tsk tsk...you’ve impressed me...."
"You’re still talking about it, if it wasn’t because of you." Yun Ya said, pinching his waist.
Ning Zihuan quickly pleaded, "Yes, yes... it’s my fault. I’ll explain it to everyone tomorrow. If anyone dares to gossip about you, I’ll cut their tongue out." His tone was full of malice.
He glanced disdainfully at the chubby kid trailing behind them, "That brat has a death wish...."
Yun Ya is not someone you can desire. Roll back to wherever you came from.
A black sedan followed them at a distance. Inside the car, Pei Qinghan watched the girl sitting on the bike’s rear seat, laughing and chatting with the boy, shedding her cold elegance to reveal some brightness and vitality.
"Brother Han, when do we make a move?"
"Wait a little longer...."
Turning the street corner, Ning Zihuan squinted slightly and said calmly, "Someone is following us."
"Don’t look back."
Yun Ya blinked.
"Wait here for me." Ning Zihuan parked the bicycle in a corner, told Yun Ya to hide, picked up a wooden stick from the ground, and charged out without hesitation, hurling the stick straight at the car’s windshield.
It all happened too suddenly. The driver turned the wheel but it was too late. With a "crash," the car window shattered.
The screech of brakes was heard.
Ning Zihuan snorted coldly, watching as a sturdy, dark-skinned boy rushed out of the car, his fists making "crunch" sounds, and glaring at Ning Zihuan with eyes full of fury.
"You brat, looking for death?"
"It’s you guys looking for death, sneaking around like this is fun?"
"You...." For someone with more brawn than brains, verbal fights are useless; it’s more practical to get physical, he thought, swinging his fists as he charged forward.
In three rounds, neither gained the upper hand. Though thin, Ning Zihuan was agile, like a battle between a lion and a monkey – one known for might, the other for agility. Neither yielded an inch, but gradually, Ning Zihuan grew exhausted and was punched in the face, his back slammed hard onto the ground.
Ning Zihuan winced in pain but uttered no sound.
"Yuesheng, stop...." A faint voice came from inside the car.
Yun Ya furrowed her brows at the voice...
"Brother Han, this brat seriously needs a beating." Yuesheng said, spitting at him.
Ning Zihuan sprang up like a carp jump, swiftly darted behind Yuesheng, climbed onto his back, and wrapped his arms around his neck. Yuesheng, caught off guard, looked as black as the bottom of a pot.
"Big guy, all’s fair in war, you know?"
No matter how hard Yuesheng shook, he couldn’t throw Ning Zihuan off and angrily said: "Get off me."
Yun Ya stepped out from the street corner, frowning as she looked in the car’s direction; the window was tightly shut, and she couldn’t see inside.
"Can’t embarrass myself in front of the goddess." Ning Zihuan said, tightening his grip on Yuesheng’s neck, making it hard for him to breathe, his cheeks turning red.
Ning Zihuan jumped off Yuesheng, quickly retreating to Yun Ya’s side. Yuesheng bent over, coughing while clutching his neck. Ning Zihuan sneered, looking at the car’s direction.
"What exactly are you guys up to?"
This group behaved suspiciously, trailing them continuously; he worried it might harm Yun Ya.
"You brat, looking for death...." Yuesheng charged over with aggression again.
"Hold on." That indifferent voice spoke again.
Yuesheng’s fists made "crunch" sounds as he turned to look at the car’s direction: "Brother Han...."
"Come back." The voice commanded without question.
Yuesheng reluctantly turned, glaring at Ning Zihuan fiercely: "Brat, just you wait, if I don’t kill you, I’m not called Yuesheng."
Ning Zihuan smirked derisively, "I’ll be waiting."
Yuesheng got in the car, which turned in place and sped away.
Ning Zihuan rubbed his face, cursing: "If I meet him again, I’ll peel him alive...."
Yun Ya watched the car leave, lost in thought.
"Do you know this group?" Ning Zihuan glanced at Yun Ya and suddenly asked.
