Translator’s Notes

For those who may be wondering, the encryption lock is put in place against aggregate sites. I don't actually mind those aggregate sites copying my translations, provided they include credits (translator/editor/proof-reader/etc.) and link back to the source (i.e. blog URL). I'm doing this for free out of personal interest with no profit whatsoever, so at the very least, credits should be given to me and TMFT who worked on it. Anyone who has written a thesis before will know that it is only proper to credit the sources that you used.

However, a lot of aggregate sites do not even do something as basic as this. They just strip off the credits without providing a link back to the source. So yeah, that's why there is a simple copy protection in place. The encryption will be removed after a few chapters, so if it really bothers you, you can always wait until then before reading. It is a bit inconvenient, but that's what happens when those site owners don't respect other people's effort.

This blog layout is fairly clean and uncluttered, so there should be no pressing need to use Reader Mode. Reader Mode tends to mess up the CSS, such as those used for in-line notes. A lot of CSS functionality cannot be used if Reader Mode is to be supported. (And the Reader Modes for different browsers work somewhat differently, leading to more complications.) The encryption does not interfere with Reader Mode; it just needs to be decrypted first. You can still use Reader Mode if you want, provided you don't mind some messed-up CSS.
