Absolute Resonance-Chapter 1589: Beast Fetus

As the stone tablet within the World's End River Region began to crumble, a fearsome aura began to awaken. It caused the entire region to shake, almost as though in terror. At the same time, the pressure that was exuded by it passed through the shattered void and was transmitted to the outside world.

Tantai Lan, Li Tianji, Qin Zhongyuan, and the others' expressions changed.

"This is... the Tri-Pupil Enigmatic Fetus' Beast Fetus?!"

No one had expected that the Beast Fetus was actually hiding within this Stone Tablet all this time.

Spirit Eye Underworld King glanced at the Beast Fetus briefly before turning towards the Kings present and cackled hoarsely, "Everyone, this is the true trump card left behind by the Tri-Pupil Enigmatic Fetus. When it sent the Stone Tablet down all those years ago and engraved the Heavenly Emperor's Edict upon it, it also hid the Beast Fetus within it. The Beast Fetus has been absorbing the tremendous amounts of negative emotions that were created by the Other Disaster all this time and has managed to grow greatly!"

The Kings' expressions were steely green upon realizing that they had underestimated the power of a Grand Devil King yet again. The Beast Fetus had managed to use the Heavenly Emperor Edict to hide its traces from everyone.

Tantai Lan's expression was icy as she glared murderously at Spirit Eye Underworld King and Qin Jiujie. "Even though the Beast Fetus has descended, we'll still make sure the two of you die today."

The Transcendent Heavenly Throne above her began to shine brilliantly with an esoteric light, and a terrifying presence enveloped the world.

However, just as she was about to strike, the Stone Tablet atop the Blood Bridge completely fell apart and the rotting Beast Fetus that had been sleeping for a long time opened its eyes. Madness and murderous intent were the only emotions in its gaze.

"Roar!"

The Beast Fetus then stood up, and its body began to swell monstrously. After a few short moments, it had transformed into a gigantic beast that was capable of covering the sun. Flesh and blood wriggled on its head and then a large number of hideous and rotting beast heads tunneled out of its body, each one giving a deadly roar. There were one hundred beast heads altogether, as well as a hundred swaying tails on its back. The entire atmosphere was filled with the air of rot, which spilled out from the Beast Fetus' body. It left poisonous toxins in its wake. If a Duke were to come into contact with it, they would undoubtedly decompose into a putrid pile of fluids. Bang! Its colossal body, as large as a mountain range, began to squeeze through the spatial rift, attempting to make its way into the Heavenly Origin Divine Continent.

The bluish-green aura of rot that was capable of instilling fear even in Kings was the first to emerge from the rift.

Li Tianji and Qin Zhongyuan's expressions changed as they commanded, "Hurry and restrain it!"

If this terrifying aura of decay were to spread, millions of square miles would likely be transformed into a literal festering wasteland. At that point in time, both Heavenly Emperor powers would sustain unimaginable casualties and losses. As they shouted, they were also the first to act. Their Crowns began to spew out boundless amounts of source origin energy as endless numbers of source origin golden lotuses materialized, immediately forming a barrier which prevented the Beast Fetus' aura from spreading any further.

"Roar!"

The two's actions had also attracted the Beast Fetus' attention. The hundred pairs of bestial eyes raged with insanity and the desire to slaughter. Their mouths which were akin to bottomless abysses, spitting rays of putrefying energy.

Bang!

Li Tianji and Qin Zhongyuan could sense immense pressure from the Beast Fetus' terrifying counterattack. The opponent was basically a peak Triple Crowned King, so even if the two joined hands, they would be unable to resist. The Spirit Eye Underworld King gave a shallow smirk. "Tantai Lan, it's best that you run over and assist those two fools. Otherwise, they won't be able to withstand the Beast Fetus' attacks. The two of us won't be accompanying you any longer."

With that, he and Qin Jiujie vanished into the distance, leaving behind trails of light. The Spirit Eye Underworld King dearly wished to take the Life Fruit from Li Luo, but he could sense that the rest of the Kings from the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li and Qin were on their way here as well. Thus, he couldn't afford to linger any longer. Tantai Lan glared at their disappearing figures and chose not to hold them here. After all, the most troublesome matter now was the descending Beast Fetus. Its ability to bring ruin to everything far surpassed the previous Other Disaster.

Once she sensed that the two hiding rats had truly left, she turned towards the rotting Beast Fetus. It was bearing down heavily on the void, causing it to shatter under its presence. Her eyes were filled with contemplation as she considered the situation. The Beast Fetus was comparable to a peak Triple Crowned King and on the other side, if they were to include her, there was a total of six Kings. Even if they went all-out and engaged in a bitter, bloody struggle, it would still be difficult to predict who would end up on top. Most troubleome was the fact that the Beast Fetus was surrounded by that toxic aura. If that was allowed to disperse across the land, all life would be extinguished and it would require an immense amount of resources to even nullify its effects in the future.

"Little Luo, Qing'e, both of you should back up a little. Don't be contaminated by this poisonous aura," Tantai Lan said.

The two of them obediently retreated, leaving the terrifying battlefield.

This was no longer a battle that sixth-grade Transcendents could participate in.

However, their eyes were filled with worry. The Beast Fetus was no weaker than the Human Fetus which Li Jingzhe had fought against, and they didn't wish to see any accidents befall their mother.

Tantai Lan stood tall in the skies as she observed the bitterly resisting Li Tianji and Qin Zhongyuan before speaking up.

"I have a method to suppress the Beast Fetus."

Li Tianji and Qin Zhongyuan revealed expressions of surprise upon hearing her words. Just what trick did she have up her sleeve that was capable of allowing her to do this?

"I need four Kings to assist me," Tantai Lan calmly continued.

Li Tianji sighed and turned towards Qin Zhongyuan. "Palace Master Zhongyuan, can you provide two Kings from your side?"

Qin Zhongyuan was well aware of how much devastation the Beast Fetus would cause if it was allowed to rampage in the Heavenly Origin Divine Continent, so he replied decisively, "In that case, Palace Master Qin Zhiming and I will assist."

Qin Qu and Tantai Lan had deep enmity for each other and wouldn't be the right candidates if close cooperation was required. Tantai Lan nodded, not bothering with more words as she swiftly formed handseals. The Transcendent Heavenly Throne then ascended into the air, penetrating through the spatial rift and appearing within the World's End River Region.

It then released scintillating, golden divine light and the cry of a Great Peng, then a stream of silverish energy also emerged, both fusing perfectly with the void. As the Transcendent Heavenly Throne was pushed to its limits, everyone could sense that a third source origin power that was not related to space or the Golden Winged Peng appeared.

Sacred runes orbited the throne, then they transformed into an Ink Tree that gave off an enigmatic aura.

The entire world shook as the Ink Tree separated from the Heavenly Throne, transforming into a heaven-toppling, ink-colored tree of a titanic size. Weathered traces of time could be seen above it as it exuded a majestic and ancient vitality. The Golden Winged Peng was perched above the tree, using it as a nest. Silverish spatial power flowed around the trunk and its branches, transforming into silver leaves.

When Li Tianji and Qin Zhongyuan saw the Transcendent Heavenly Throne's change, they stood dazed as though they had been struck by a bolt of lightning.
