Abyss Draconis-Chapter 498: The Knull War
Chapter 498: The Knull War
VRROOOOOOOOOOMMMM
The sound of the air being pierced silently rang out as a figure soared forward with blinding speed, circular lines appearing around him with every inch of his movement through space.
The figure was none other than Ryuk, who silently traveled forward, his blue rotating vortex of an eye locked in the far distance.
From so far away, he could already sense the polluted smell in the air—but it wasn’t just the smell.
Right now, he could see tiny bits of dark dots that littered the surrounding air.
He resumed flying forward, and soon enough, he could feel it.

The thunderous ripples stretched as far as the eyes could see, reverberating through space.
After four minutes of traveling at a speed of Mach 380, Ryuk finally arrived in the airspace.
"Truly a battlefield..." he muttered to himself as he looked down at the chaos around him.
Below the ground was a mix of many races.
Elves with their pointy ears and bows. Titans with their exceptional height and massive hammers. Vampires in their draping red robes. Werewolves—seemingly a combination of man and beast—weaving through the battlefield. And many other races.
But if there was one thing easily noticeable, it was that all the different races were in a war against a single race.
And that race consisted of beings oozing an incredibly dark aura with every movement.
The dark aura wasn’t like Void energy or shadow energy. No, it was something far more sinister.
It was abyssal energy, and the race itself was none other than the Knulls.
Surprisingly, this time, they weren’t the ordinary Knulls that looked like beasts, birds, or cats.
This time, they were even more monstrous.
Some were vaguely humanoid, except with physiology that could only have formed from a psychopath’s twisted nightmare.
Others looked like masses of liquid and gas, weaving through the air like ghosts, their maws clamping down occasionally and devouring their prey.
There were also flying Knulls in the sky, but they weren’t like birds.
They were aerial nightmares—humanoid bats about two meters in height, blazing around with wings radiating shadows.
Occasionally, they would grab an unlucky soldier from the ground into the air before ripping him apart and dropping his remains onto the crimson battlefield below.
Rivers of red had filled the cracks in the ground, and new cracks were being made—along with new blood.
’The Knulls... their numbers are many,’ Ryuk couldn’t help but notice. But he soon realized the Ten Family warriors weren’t doing that badly either.
Mostly because they had two exceptional fighters that brought down massive amounts of Knulls with every one of their attacks.
One of those exemplary soldiers was an Elf—an Elven man, to be exact.
His appearance was that of a tall and ethereal figure. Silver-blonde hair cascaded past his waist, and glowing green eyes shimmered like moonlight.
He wore an elegant robe embroidered with celestial patterns and in his hands was a weapon: a radiant bow that fired arrows infused with Apex Energy.
At first glance, the man looked incredibly calm, even amid the surrounding death. He seemed patient, too.
His lips were moving occasionally with every pull of his arrow, and Ryuk could faintly hear the spell words.
"Nature’s Eternal Art: Starveil Reign."
Immediately, he pulled on his singular arrow, and just like Ellina, the Silverunic Princess, a barrage of light arrows burst out from that single shot.
The arrows rained down in a wide arc with enough power to clear an entire Knull army in seconds.
His shots were unending, flicking apart sections of the battlefield with their light that seemed capable of erasing abyssal energy entirely. Each arrow dealt powerful strikes against the Knulls, who were almost guaranteed to die with every single firing of his.
Although, there were some powerful Knull Wanderers among the crowd, unleashing their own attacks to prevent the Elf from going on an unchecked killing spree.
But he wasn’t the only one.
There was another Eternity Stage expert, one who was engaged in a powerful brawl with two Knull Wanderers at the same time—yet wasn’t losing. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
It was a female vampire.
Ryuk knew this, not only from the crimson eyes glowing beneath the black veil she wore, but even more from her deadly pale skin and midnight-black hair.
Dressed in flowing noble garb that seemed to be woven from shadows, she held a peculiar weapon covered in a blood aura.
Double rapiers were in both her hands, and they clashed powerfully with the two Knull Wanderers.
Each of her attacks was incredibly deadly, ripping apart chunks of dark blood when they met her foes and he noticed their blood drain into her weapons, sharpening them even more.
And it was barely a second later when one of the Knulls was cleaved down from the top of his head straight down below—his body split in two—as she turned to the remaining Knull.
A powerful battle unfolded.
Blood razors surrounded the entire air, acting like some sort of telekinetic attack as she engaged in a fierce fight with the remaining Knull Wanderer.
After much exchange, her lips moved as she called upon an art:
"Eternal Blood Art: Sanguine Dominion."
All the spilled blood on the battlefield suddenly began converging and soon formed the shape of spectral beasts that instantly aligned by her side.
A battle of twelve against one began with the remaining Knull Wanderer, and not long after, he was pinned down by the beasts.
With a swift slash, she decapitated the Knull Wanderer—his head rolling onto the ground—only for his dark blood to be sucked into her rapiers, which glowed with even more light.
A grin with an evil allure laid on Raveleth’s lips as she stepped forward to continue fighting with the remaining Knull Wanderers, who were facing pseudo-Eternity Stage experts.
But then she paused as, suddenly...
SOOOOOOOOOAAAARRR
The sound of something soaring forward rang out, and once again the battlefield seemed to pause for a second as a shadow of a new entity covered an entirety of the battlefield below as the Ten family shoulders immediately fled from the scene.
KAAAAABOOOOOM
It smashed into the ground, crushing some unlucky Knulls who hadn’t run away like the other warriors as dust rose into the air but then...
BOOOOOOM
BOOOOOOM
BOOOOOOM
It was the sound of ear deafening explosions ringing out ceaselessly and quicly approaching the battlefield...
