Abyss Draconis-Chapter 533: Closing An Anomaly Gate
Chapter 533: Closing An Anomaly Gate
Immediately, Isha disappeared into the portal, as spears rippled forward right after but failed to penetrate their figure before they disappeared.
The portal instantly faded into thin air, and immediately the other portal at the end of the Centaurs emitted both out.
"Attack now, Isha!" Ryuk ordered as he jumped down, and immediately, his legs slammed down on a centaur, crushing it into the ground and sending it to the abyss.
SOOOAAR!
SOOOAAAR!
SOOOAAAR!
Instantly, Ryuk dodged the various arrows shifting toward him, but then, a gigantic ice runic pentagon image appeared in the sky, and a second later, ice spears began raining down from above, impaling every single Centaur around the place.
Raising her wings, Isha’s four wings folded together, and then—
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
She soared forward with speed, flashing into the distance.
But not without the wings forming sharp blades that veered into any Centaur that came her way, ripping them into two when they got too close, while her maw oepend up, blasting out a pillar of ice through any Centaur on her path.
"Incredible..." Ryuk muttered to himself, watching the scene, but his gaze ignited as he sped up right after Isha.
His will surged forward, manipulating the environment and trapping most of the Centaurs within the ground or simply tripping them before crushing them under his foot.
With precision, chaos, and power, they ripped through the force of the Centaurs and quickly continued racing into the distance.
All the Centaurs instantly tried to turn back and chase after both of them, but then horror bloomed in their eyes as they were met with the sight of an avalanche sweeping toward them,
"Margor To Reumir!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
It slammed into them, devouring them all, as Ryuk and Isha’s eyes scanned ahead, noticing a gate appeared at about 25 kilometers away.
"We’re almost there, Isha," Ryuk said as he jumped back up, landing on Isha’s back. Immediately, King’s Aura was reactivated, causing her aura to surge as she shot into space with even greater speed.
They appeared before the gate and disappeared down it, and a second later—
KAAABOOOOOOOOOOM!
The gate was ripped apart into thin air as the avalanche slammed into it, the power destabilizing space enough to break apart the force that held the gate.
"A B-Rank adventurer had gone in and will resolve the issue at once..."
A couple of men and women, some wearing the official wear of the Adventurers Guild, surrounded the glowing red gate in the space, spinning chaotically with insane red energy while also crackling with red lightning.
But then—
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A large creature was sent flying out of the portal, rolling a couple of times before coming to a stop. Then a smaller figure emerged, slamming into it and sending it flying for ten more meters.
"Is that? Is that a Frost Wyvern?!"
"Adventurer Ryuk!" the call came from one of the Adventurer’s Guild officials, who asked with surprise.
But then their gaze turned to the red gate, which had become incredibly chaotic, and then—
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
It actually exploded, sending space shards toward all the officials, whose eyes looked on in horror as they watched incredibly fast shards racing toward them with a momentum greater than that of bullets.
If it pierced through them, it would hurt more than a rain of bullets.
Their eyes snapped closed, preparing for the impact, but then, after 30 seconds of the air flaring but with no pain, they opened their eyes to the sight of a golden barrier surrounding them all, succeeding in protecting them from the space shards.
The gate eventually dispersed into nothing, leaving just a healing space in its wake, and they watched as Ryuk lowered his hands, the golden barrier fading into nothing.
"Hey, you okay?" Ryuk asked as he kneeled, looking at Isha.
There were some parts of her scales that were cracked from the chaos at the last instant, but apart from that, she seemed fine.
"Yes, I’m good," she said, as Ryuk’s hand moved forward.
A silvery white pill secretly appeared in his hands, which he threw into Isha’s maw before his hands hovered over her head and she disappeared into the empty space, returning to the Pet space.
"How was it, Adventurer Ryuk?"
"Was it truly an Anomaly Gate?" one of the Adventurer officials asked, as Ryuk rose to his feet, exhaling an intensely cold breath before he nodded.
"Yes. It was an Anomaly Gate."
"But it’s been closed now, as we both can see."
"Everything is fine," he replied as the officials looked from his feet to his head, taking in the sight of his mark-littered body before asking:
"And what about you, are you okay?"
"I am. Thank you for asking."
"But I’m afraid I will need some rest to recuperate well. I hope you’ll understand," he said as they nodded their heads.
"Very well, Adventurer Ryuk. And thank you for your prompt help on the matter..." He said
"I’m just doing my duty..." Ryuk said with a polite smile before he floated into the air, soaring forward into the distance.
The other five Adventurers Guild officials remained by each other as they watched him disappear into the distance.
"So that’s him? Adventurer Ryuk?" a female adventurer asked, as one of the others nodded.
"Yes. In just a span of 12 days, he has closed 90% of Lord-Ranked Gates, reducing the danger factor of the Interdimensional Gate releases by a jaw-dropping 65%," another said, his hand turning to the device in his hands, watching the falling red bar on the graph.
"And what’s more, he did this all alone. No team. Just soloing the hardest of missions all on his own without rest..."
"He’s a true hero."
____
BEEP!
BEEP!
BEEP!
The sound of beeping rang out as Ryuk pushed open the glass door and stepped inside.
Taking a seat on the sofa, the first thing he did was instantly enter his Pet world, appearing before the dark cave.
Stepping in, there was Void, seemingly deep in slumber.
"It exhausted all of its last energy to support that Vortex," Ryuk muttered to himself.
In the next instant, he brought out the best Void rejuvenation pill from the shop, costing 70,000 purchase points, before he placed it in Void’s maw.
’I can feel it, Void. Your evolution is speeding up. Hopefully, this breaks that last barrier...’ he thought to himself as he placed the Void pill in Void’s mouth, closing it.
Immediately, tendrils of void energy were drawn in as Void’s dull-looking fur began flickering with light once more.
It was clear it was starting to heal.
Giving it one last look, Ryuk exited the cave.
Isha wasn’t in the pet space, and he removed his consciousness from it, only to find her sitting beside him on the sofa, back in her human form.
"How’s Void?" she asked.
